The location is excellent. Just off Canal and very close to Bourbon St. We weren't sure about the neighborhood when we booked, but can say it was very safe and convenient. The Sonder Gallier entrance is sandwiched between two restaurants at street level, and there are other restaurants on the street and a CVS on the corner. We would definitely stay here again given the convenience of the location. We were in Room 201 which is a 4-bedroom unit. It is very spacious. As previous reviewers have warned, there are NO windows with an outside view. We were aware of this due to the reviews and detailed inspection of the photos Sonder has on their website room listing. The unit is exactly as described by Sonder but guests should be aware of the no-window situation in case that bothers you. It is a very quiet unit. We referred to it as "our bunker" -- it was quiet and had no views of the outside (which provided complete darkness for the teens who like to sleep in!). If you are booking 201, be aware that the clothes dryer is still NOT operational. Another reviewer noted this in August 2022 and as of May 2023 it still isn't working. The other review I would reiterate is the lack of shelves, hooks, and toilet seat in the first bathroom. There is no room or space for personal belongings or hanging towels. The shower is very nice but the bathroom itself could be better outfitted for functionality. (These inconveniences are why I rate it a 4 not a 5.) All in all, it was definitely worth-what-paid and we would book again! (We also stayed in a Sonder in Nashville and can say they are consistently clean and they represent their properties accurately on their website.)
