Trident Inn & Suites New Orleans

Upon checking into the hotel, there was a weird smell through the corridor. Once inside the room, there was what looked like smeared feces on the wall, so I requested to be moved to a new room. The new room was more pleasing on the eyes but had its own set of problems. The headboards were dirty, handprints all on it, there were stains all over the walls. The bathroom tub looked disgusting. There was rust in the tub, and the wall is peeling. I requested extra towels from the front desk, some rude lady with pink hair, she fussed and said we weren’t allowed to have more than 2 sets. Even after explaining to her I was using them in the tub to keep the rust away from everyone. Not to mention last night around 11pm some weird man started banging on the bedroom door claiming to be the hotel owner looking for a cart that was in our room blocking the adjoining room door that wouldn’t lock closed.. he even said he would throw my family and myself out the hotel if we didn’t open the door. Definitely will never be back. After yelling at me I told him his worries are on the wrong thing. Our room was horrible and he didn’t do anything to try to fix it. It’s disgusting and I really deserve my money back for this disgusting stay. I tossed and turned all night. Couldn’t even trust sleeping under the covers. Not to mention the microwave in the rooms both looked like this. Had to eat our leftovers cold because of how nasty it looks.

The place was dirty the staff attempted to change my room but all the rooms especially bathrooms were dirty.

The fitness suite has nothing that works. All of the equipment was old and broken so unusable, literally not a single piece of equipment works in the room. The maid service was very minimal, they didn’t even take out/clean the bins even though we were there for multiple days. It was a good price and mostly clean (minus the massive dead cockroach that we found that the maid wouldn’t clean).

I loved that the room was and felt clean. The breakfast was TRASH!!!!! Staff at front desk was very helpful and nice. Everything is very old (carpets, shower, vending machines) but it was still clean it was wierd cause ive never been in a run down motel that was clean. My only suggestion if I was asked is to upgrade the dining room and have better quality breakfast items the bagel i choose was so stale that it broke when i went to take it apart because it was so hard! I also didnt want to eat in their because it was dirty why is everywhere else but the place people are going to eat clean!?!?!? With all that said overall the stay was good for the low price if I paid more I would have a totally different tone to this review

I felt like housekeepers worked hard to keep the rooms clean. However, there's only so much you can do. The bathrooms are older. I almost flipped and fell a few times because the tile floor. The toilets were old so it doesn't look like they're clean but they are. The shower had mold underneath and looks like the tubs need to be resurfaced. The carpets aren't clean so you have to keep the air condition on so it doesn't make a odd smell. The TVs were very hard to work. I will say that the attendant was very nice to come up and try to fix ours. FYI we didn't turn the TV off the whole time cuz we didn't want to have her come up again.

Hair dryer did not work AC on 60 yet room was not frigid No ice machine in designated spot Was told pool closed at 7pm…huh? Breakfast had to be eaten in dining room and not bright back to room.

It was a great hotel with a professional staff but they need to repair the forth floor ice machine
