The hotel as a whole feels good, clean and very convenient. It is only five minutes away from the main road. It is not noisy and safe. There is a Luke restaurant downstairs from Hilton, and you can eat directly. Just a few minutes walk from the famous felix ’s restaurant.

I stayed at the hotel with my 3 y.o. son. The room with the kitchenette and two queen beds was bright, well designed and very comfortable. Location of the hotel is great - within a few mins walk to French Quarter and the river, close to plenty of restaurants and just 20 m to the Street Car stop. As with many Marriott properties lately, the hotel didn't have ANY bottled water available for their guests; there was no breakfast or room cleaning services. It was all suspended due to COVID however, no one in the hotel, including staff, wore masks or took any COVID precautions.

I booked this hotel 2 months ago through hotels.com. I selected the ”pay at hotel” option. We show up and they do not have our reservation or any available rooms. Unfortunately, the card I used to reserve the room was compromised and had to be canceled. I forgot that this card was used to reserve the room, and never followed-up. Nevertheless, I would think that since I only reserved the room and would still pay at the hotel, the hotel would hold on to my reservation, or maybe contact us before canceling the reservation. This was a huge inconvenience, and ended up roaming the streets in desperate need of a place to stay late at night.

I had my doubts but I am glad I stayed at this location. The hotel is in a good spot for touring the city whether by car or on foot. At the core of my contentment is the person working the front desk during my check-in and during my stay - Ms. Nivea H. From the first day through our last day she worked to ensure customer service was as best as it could be. I will not say she is the only front desk person able to provide great customer service, I hope that the management culture and training emphasizes this to all their employees. However, she is the main person that we experienced. The breakfast is also great, but the food throughout my time in New Orleans was great. Parking is interesting, but I used the hotel's valet and it worked out well. I hope you have the same experience that we did, since coming to New Orleans should be fun and relaxing even if you came here due to work reasons.

Very close to the city centre, a few steps away is a lively area (time is a bit long I forgot my name). There is a parking lot (daily is not necessary). Unexpectedly, in addition to breakfast, it also included dinner. Overall it is not bad, it is still recommended. By the way, the central street bar street at night is not suitable for children, too noisy, there are drums on the street. If all are adults, it’s okay.

I loved everything about this hotel until I got the bill. I was shocked that I was charged US$17.17 per night about the “Total Price of Stay (*including tax)”. Apparently there is an Amenity Fee US$15 plus tax, which is additional to “Total Price of Stay (*including tax)”. As an overseas traveller, this additional cost was not something I was aware of. I don’t have a problem with the cost, I have a problem with the lack of transparency. “Total Price of Stay (*including tax)”, suggests that is the full cost. The Amenity Fee covered the free drink tokens, free use of bicycle loaner, free morning station coffee, free Wi-Fi, free Mountain Valley waters in room, free water station, and free work out facilities. (So not really free in the sense of the word free) So now you’re aware that the stated cost will not actually be the cost you are finally billed, let me review the other aspects. The staff were brilliant, friendly, engaged and helpful. The hotel was magical, well presented, interesting, and had a divine ambience. The small Banksy museum at the back was both unique and magnificent. I spent some time in their absorbing the history. My room was unexpectedly upgraded to a King room, 24 hours before my arrival - thank you. I felt like a rock star in the room, a quiet room with a supremely comfortable bed, with a stylish bathroom, a small fridge, but no tea making facilities. It had a limited outlook to an inner courtyard. Close to the convention centre and Bourbon Street, I walked everywhere. I would happily stay here again, and encourage others too. However I feel their pricing was deceptive, and let them down.
