"The location of room and of hotel was great. Was able to park our car right outside room. Pool was a surprise, warm and great pool area. Only down side was a mistake by the staff who entered our room in the morning when we were still in the room, but we received an apology for this. Would definitely recommend it to family/friends."

"I stayed at The Hotel Nelson for two days during Boxing Day. It is very close to the center of Nelson. It only takes about 13 or 14 minutes to walk to the city for meals. The check-in/out speed in the hotel is very fast. The facilities in the room are very complete, including an induction cooker for cooking, basic tableware, and a hair dryer in the room (but the wind is not strong). There is also a swimming pool in the hotel. It is very comfortable.
Nice stay at the hotel Nelson! You’ve got all the equipments including induction cooker, dishes and utensils, nice water pressure for shower, really nice staff. Would recommend to anyone want to stay in Nelson for trips!"

"Clean and good location. Just by the beach. Strong sense of service. Before we checked in, the boss had turned on the heating and was very intimate. There is parking space. The bathroom equipment is a bit old, but it does not affect the living."

"Good value for money compared with other hotels we have stayed at in Nelson. Decor and comfort was good.
A bit of noise from the music in the outside bar area in the early to mid evening, the speaker was right under our window, which might be a problem to some, not to us.
Food was good , but a little on the expensive side for us, personally,

"A relatively large youth hostel with complete living facilities, but no private bathroom (Ctrip compensated for this). Free feijoa tasting is provided. However, the power supply is not at the bedside, and the parking lot is a bit cramped. Overall, it is cost-effective."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient. Facilities are good. I did however have a cluster of ants in my room. They were swiftly dealt with by staff within about 5 minutes after reporting. I was grateful for being able to leave luggage prior to check in but a bit disappointed i had to pay 2 nzd to store luggage in a locked on departure for about 90 to 120 minutes. I can understand charges for longer periods of left luggage on check out, but under 2 hours seemed a bit unfortunate. However i would still recommend the YHA for others, although if you want a more ”party” type hostel, this isn't it."

GGuest UserWe were very impressed at how well appointed the room was. Great facilities. We had come to see a show at a theatre a 5 min walk from the Motor Lodge so the location was a dream. Staff were very friendly & accomodating. We will be back & highly recommend. The price was brilliant too.

XXUEMotel, no breakfast, kitchen, kitchen, complete facilities, cooking. Walk to the main street in the city center for about 7-8 minutes. There are plenty of parking spaces in the yard. If you temporarily increase your child's fee when you check in, the child information system will be automatically calculated when you book the hotel. It is recommended to be suitable for children with a child.

GGuest UserNice welcome friendly and helpful when enquiring about things, not happy with wifi constantly fading and their answer was “ tried to get it fixed but ? “ on website they offer airport drop offs but don’t due to complaints from the local cabbies so why still advertise this !!! And finally when dropping off key on checkout didn’t ask how our stay was or anything so not happy with the service.

FFanieWe stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment. We received excellent communication before our arrival, which made check-in extremely smooth. The apartment had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. It is very close to the centre of town (about 2 minutes) with lots of restaurants and shops within easy reach. It is also only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Highly recommended!

There was a bathroom in the room and bath towels were provided, so it was comfortable.
I was happy that I could use the washing machine for free.
The woman at the reception was also nice and had a nice atmosphere.

GGuest UserHad a private room which was clean and very comfortable. Cosy too. Only spent two nights but would’ve been happy there on a long trip. The shared areas were great too, especially for socialising. Staff were super friendly. Would definitely stay again.

GGuest UserWe booked a 2 room cabin, the place was quiet that was nice but the place wasn't clean a dirty oven try left in the oven! Plates with crumbs on them! The bathroom fan didn't work so the cabin was super super damp, no soaps or shampoo dispensers were all empty! The bathroom and toilet door didn't close properly or quietly. The main bedroom must have a leak somewhere it rained on the last day and the carpet in the morning was super wet along the window. Couches were uncomfortable feels like it pushes you head forward and the TV had no Internet connection to watch Netflix like advertised. The place is very run down and needs a really really good clean! The accommodation was close to town and quiet. I wouldn't recommend this place spend an extra $100 and stay somewhere else
