Hotels near Ape Ice in Naples

I picked this location as I arrived from palermo via airport and needed to leave naples via train - its literally a 5 min walk away from the fast trains super accessible ! The staff was also very helpful whenever needed. I highly recommend the breakfast it was 6 euros more and so worth it! An italian breakfast is so amazing and they serve it well I looked forward to it every morning. Also a block away from a whole line if restaurants for dinner or lunch. Perfect location

I’m not the type of traveller who usually goes for hotels, (outside of the pandemic I’m usually one for hostels), so perhaps this is why I disagree so strongly with the negative reviews here. The hotel isn’t in the best location, no, but outside of really late night (and I mean after 1am), it’s in a busy enough area that I didn’t have to worry, perhaps this would be different if you were a woman travelling alone, but it wasn’t a big problem for me. I would advise, as in all cities in the world, to try not to look like an obvious tourist and refrain from looking at google maps obviously on the street, but petty crime is just as much of a problem in other parts of the city and in my opinion much of the bad reputation surrounding this area comes from its high prevalence of ethnic minority Italians which is more based in racism than reality. My room had an interior view, which wasn’t great, and yes there were marks in the bathroom which had clearly been there some time. Despite all of this though, the hotel offers air con, a comfortable bed, and is very close to the train station which gives great access to Pompeii and Herculaneum. More than anything I was touched by just how kind the staff were, one girl in particular, Katia, was so incredibly kind and spoke amazing English, and she gave great tips about the area. In particular her advice was very useful, and it was lovely to have a friendly face in the city while travelling. Cleaning service was offered daily and plenty of towels were provided. I do see why people disagree with the three star rating, but for the price the hotel is more than sufficient and offers a good standard of accommodation.

It is a nice hotel, with convenient transportation, free parking, good breakfast, and warm hospitality. The hotel is also clean and quiet. It is convenient for eating and shopping around. I will come back next time.

It is about a 15-minute walk from the station. On the way from the station, there is a clean supermarket, laundry, and delicious pizza restaurant, and next door is a chain *****tore, so the location is great. The room was quite spacious, cleaned every day, and had a large terrace, so it was very comfortable. I visited not only Naples, but also Pompeii, Salerno → Amalfi → Potasino → Sorrento, but Amalfi and Potasino were too crowded, so I'm glad I did a day trip from Naples. There is no resident staff, so you need to go at the specified time to check in, but be careful that they don't open the door unless you call. I ended up not being able to contact the hotel in Matera, so the hotel canceled the day and I didn't get a refund, so I was a little worried that it would happen again.

I’ll try to make this as constructive as possible, so I’ll start with the good. The property is located in a convenient location close to the Central Station, although the area around the station is a little dirty with some homeless people. When you get into the apartment, it’s clean and nicely decorated. The room was for 3 people and was pretty nice. Now for the downsides… When we arrived, the elevator was broken, so we had to suffer through carrying our luggage up 2 stories of stairs. Luckily, they apartment building was able to get the elevator fixed within a day or two of our arrival. Also, there were only sheets on the beds, no blankets. So that first night, we were cold. We later got blankets from housekeeping (housekeeping is only there for a few hours in the morning). There was no iron available, so if your clothes are wrinkled, you’re sh*t out of luck unless you brought your own. Communication was lacking. We ran out of toilet tissue and was told they would leave some at the front desk. They never did. We went 2 days without them restocking our toilet tissue. Luckily, we had wipes with us. They also never came to clean our room. The description for the room said “daily housekeeping” but I guess they just meant for the common areas. We were supposed to be provided with breakfast cards each day for the each of us (there were 3 of us in a room). We were only left one card one day. Never saw another card after that (this was brought up to the staff via WhatsApp and the cards still weren’t provided, just like the toilet tissue). Apparently, garbage gets collected around 1 in the morning. You can hear it loud and clear, at least from my room. There’s also a bell or something that goes off every morning at 7:30am. Again, you can hear it loud and clear from the room we were in. If you’re planning to stay in Naples for only a day or two, you might be ok with this place. Other than that, meh.

An incredible family owned hotel that treats you with warmth and respect. We arrived late and there was still someone waiting for us on the steps outside. Our apar**ent was impeccable. Clean, spacious and comfortable, with a balcony and beautiful view. High wood ceilings with exposed beams make it feel twice as big. The towel warmer in the bathroom was a nice surprise! The staff is super friendly - they all speak English, but we learned some Italian from the wonderful woman who takes care of the restaurant. Her English is better than my Italian so I am happy to learn! We ate dinner pool side during happy hour. Incredibly reasonable prices and delicious food. There was a little cat wondering around and it added just the right amount of charm to the night. Amazing breakfast buffet! They even have a fresh organ he juice machine! Sausages, eggs, pancakes, pastries, and an espresso maker. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Well maintained and clean! It is more north of Naples and more south of Rome, but it’s the perfect place if you want to be IN the local area. Walkable to beach clubs, but the hotel offers taxi service with reservation and there are bus stops. They will try to help you no matter what your needs are. I have lived in 2 countries and travelled Europe, and it is fair to say that this is one of the best hotel experiences I have had. Customer service is top notch and the staff treat you like family. Highly recommended!

Still stayed for one night and I have to take the airport alibi early in the morning this b&b I strongly advise you. Located in a old palace with a portier and view on the Piazza Garibaldi just a few steps from the alibus stop and consequently from the central station, My spacious and clean room full of frigobar, cooler and safe box with good quality bedroom and a good bathroom of good size also provided with excellent fresh cut and fragrant hand towels. I haven't enjoyed breakfast included in the price because served after the time of my departure. Good clean parfum everywhere. very kind personal. I'll surely come back and advise to book without hesitation!

It was a fantastic stay. The rooms are actually as seen in the gallery and I was surprised at the cleanliness and modern decor. The staff is really nice and ready to please every request. A special mention to Giovanni and Salvatore, the owners who welcomed us as if we were customers for a lifetime. It is not for everyone. They also gave us a map with all the information. Really excellent quality / price ratio. Also the location is excellent, don't be fooled by the bad reviews of that neighborhood. I, who know Naples, tell you that this area has improved a lot. Can't wait to go back.

I saw that someone commented that the room was wrong, and I encountered a similar situation. I suggested that Ctrip ask the store to download actual pictures of the room type for everyone's reference. The volcano view from the room is quite nice. The location is very good, just opposite the train station, and there is a supermarket across the street downstairs. The front desk of the hotel was a little strange. They asked me if it was my first time here and if I had any arrangements for the second time. But after knowing that we had already made arrangements, they didn’t even bother to tell us the breakfast time and restaurant location😂

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during a visit to Naples. The location is very convenient, walking distance from the old city and next to the underground and train station. The building has been very tastefully refurbished, the rooms were clean and breakfast lovely. There is an amazing roof terrace to grab a drink or dine, with beautiful plants and a wonderful view! A special mention for the staff: everybody was attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will come back if we have the chance.
