After a pleasant reception we were shown where to park the car with plenty of spaces and how to reach our room. It was spacious and excellently equipped with a lovely bathroom with a stunning view. The room had a balcony with table and chairs with fabulous views also. Room service was extremely good. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with a very good choice. All staff were smiling and polite and gave us excellent advice. The location is really good with lots of good restaurants and bars within minutes. We would unhesitatingly come here again and would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel's front desk are friendly and the rooms are very clean. It's about a 10-minute walk to Napier beach. The scenery along the way is very beautiful and it's worth recommending.

My partner and I booked a room for a weekend at The Nautilus and absolutely enjoyed every part of our stay our room was perfect lots of space great room set up the view was lovely the spa was incredible everything catered to our needs and the staff were lovely and helpful this is my second time staying with the Nautilus and both times I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay it is by far the perfect place to relax,getaway and treat yourself to abit of luxury.We will 100% be staying again.Thankyou to the staff at the Nautilus for our beautiful weekend away,see you again next time 😊

The location is very good, facing the sea, you can lie in bed and watch the sunrise, sit on the balcony and have a cup of tea and read a book to see the vast expanse of the sea too enjoyable! There is also a whirlpool in the room, and friends who like to take a bath can enjoy it. The hotel's price/performance ratio is super high. Napier is a place worth living for a few days.

Good value motel right on the beachfront of the resort. Rooms are a bit dated, but they are large, clean, and have all amenities you require. There is a separate living room area bedroom and bathroom, ours also had the added bonus of a very large spa bath. We found them to be very quiet. They were short of staff during our visit, so there no servicing of the rooms, but on request, they did provide clean towels, etc. Overall a good choice for a visit to Napier.

Pretty good location for a hotel. Walking distance to the CBD which is always nice. Across the road from the skate park, which is just a useful bit of information for you. Pool is still closed. The parking is just weirdly laid out. If you get a good one. Don’t move your car. The spa bath was good. But having no shower curtain and a shower head that was either scolding or freezing made life interesting in the morning. Overall I would stay again.

Unique, very central to shops and restaurants, clean - loved the dome dining room. Plenty of space for a family of 5/6. Reserved Car park about 500m from the unit, but unloaded from the loading bay then got my partner to walk back. Lovely views. Quiet. Underfloor heating in en-suite, Would definitely stay here again. If staying for one night only I would use car parks on street and pay hourly parking rate as the car park was not in a building, and parking was free after 6pm.

Had a wonderful stay at Porters - lovely room, king size bed, with everything you need, and a small private balcony. Perfect part of town, so close to everything, undercover parking included. We found the staff to be absolutely top notch, so welcoming and happy to do absolutely anything to make your stay as good as possible. In particular, we'd like to compliment Christopher, who was so helpful and kind. On the nights we were there, the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast, so we were given vouchers to Maina nearby and it serves about the best breakfast you could find anywhere! Basically, this is a great hotel, they're doing everything right.

GGuest UserBooked an executive suite for 1 night. Very comfortable, clean, modern, and private. It was quiet too which I needed. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to me. It was so comfy that I stayed and paid for an extra day to have a lovely well-earned rest in the aircon. The bed was super comfortable with gorgeous pillows. I felt I was in luxury for the day! The kitchen and bathroom are modern and pristinely clean. There’s a microwave to heat things up and a little fridge/freezer. They have sky television which was an enjoyable change from Netflix. I will definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family🙂

周周The hotel is by the sea, the balcony is on the sea and the scenery is beautiful. There are many coffee shops nearby for breakfast and there are plenty of bars. The rooms are the right size, clean and tidy, with microwaves and cutlery for a light meal. It is a little far from the city, but if there is a car, it will be 15 minutes.

GGuest UserWe stayed one night before flying to Wellington. Check in was a breeze, the staff was excellent and we loved the art deco features in the hotel. The rooms were renovated with the bedroom having lots of art deco style but the bathroom was more modern - which we appreciated. They hid a power cube with usb ports, which was helpful. Parking was one block away and east to get to. You can’t beat the location for waterfront access and shopping nearby. Some good dining options as well. Only downside is Napier goes to bed early.

Separate rooms with comfortable king beds, two bathrooms (one with a jetted bath!), good heating, televisions, parking (although limited) - everything you could want! Very good value - although if you prefer cooking on your holidays, the kitchen is more 'ette.

GGuest UserNot too impressed with this place. The lobby is so small that when a large group arrives, as we did, we couldn't all get in the door with our lugguge. Even when you're on your own, the two lifts are so close to the front door, that the automatic doors keep opening & closing whilst you wait. Ridiculous. The Dining Room only has one small toaster for the whole of breakfast service, resulting in long queues & long waits. My room was large & comfortable, but the bathroom tiny. The location of the hotel is good, with many rooms having a sea-view (through the Nordic pines) and it's close to downtown with its pubs & bars. OK for one night.

GGuest UserThese rooms have got a nice outlook over the park to the sea. I’m not sure they are luxury from my point of view. The bed really needed to be replaced with a mattress that wasn’t sloping and saggy. My main issue was the housekeeping service. We decided to stay in a serviced motel rather than air bnb type place because of the daily room servicing so we felt like we were really having a restful holiday. Most times the room servicing was done late in the day and was only a change of towels. We went for three days without our rubbish being emptied, no tea towel, and the bed wasn’t made, until we asked on the fourth day for a full room service then the whole room was cleaned and vacuumed and the sheets changed in the morning while we were out. If you don’t mind housekeeping inconsistencies, then it’s a nice place to stay.

YYAWENFree parking, parking at the entrance of the accommodation, very convenient. The kitchenware is very complete, except that there is no chopsticks. Because there is a kitchen, it is very convenient to get some children's favorite food in the morning. The room has 3 single beds and 1 double bed, enough to live, plus a baby cot. It is very convenient to have a bathroom upstairs and downstairs.

GGuest UserAn absolute disgrace. It has blown my mind reading other reviews. The pictures shown online are nothing like what the place was like. I walked into the garden shed and it was a sauna, I had to leave the aircon on full blast 24/7 for 4 days, to spend as little time as possible here. There was no wifi when we arrived, the manager did try to help, “standing outside the door you get a bit of wifi” it eventually came on the next day only in one room! There were pubes in the bed from previous customers, the sofas are completely sunken in, you cannot sit on them. I felt so repulsed even making a cup of coffee. It was that awful I would leave the house around 9am and not return til 11pm, I couldn’t handle the depression of being in this dump. I couldn’t book anywhere else as it was NYE. I considered going back home it was that awful. Also there was no hand wash in the house, given the pandemic I was surprised. There was a hole in the front door, a stain that looked like poo on the toilet wall. I cannot express how much of a dump this place is. The curtains had to be drawn all day to keep out the heat, the building is a shed, you could put a hole in the wall with your thumb. It felt like a crack house with curtains drawn all day, the weird smell and just the overall state of the furniture. To top it off, customers from the pub were rowing outside our dump unit one night, a guy punched the woman to the floor, police were called. This place needs to be bulldozed.

The staff are accommodating and always greet you with a smile, making the whole experience very welcoming. The facilities are well-maintained and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was immaculate, and the TV room was cosy, making it feel like a home away from home. Parking is a breeze with ample space around the site and a great picnic table; the dump-out stations are beneficial. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness at all times, the gorgeous decor in the toilets and the reliable Wi-Fi. The availability of bike riding options and a giant chess game adds to the enjoyment. There is superb coffee and delicious food at the coffee shop. Everything perfect, I can confidently say this campground is one of the best we have experienced.

GGuest UserThe location of this motel is excellent. Directly opposite the beach and very close to the shops of Napier. Whilst the room was dated, it was extremely clean and had a super comfy bed and pillows. The best thing about this motel is the manager Gaigan. He was very friendly and helpful on our arrival and when the cyclone storms hit, he was wonderful. When a disaster strikes, a person's true character is revealed. Gaigan is a man who is caring, honest and an exemplary manager who did his very best to help everyone despite being concerned about his own family and friends. He cooked on a BBQ for guests, he tried to find out information when there was little being disseminated by authorities and he was calm and reassuring. When there is an abundance of accommodation in a town, customer service is what makes one establishment stand out from others and this is why Edgewater Motor Lodge gets 5 stars, due to Gaigan's outstanding customer service.
