It's not easy to find this hotel, but once you do, it's a great place to stay. It's very convenient for the train and subway stations. The rooms are immaculate, the bed and pillows are comfortable by Western standards, the showers are terrific, there's a fancy lighting and sound system in each room, and overall it's just a nice hotel. Plus the staff is friendly and helpful. It was my first day in China, and everything was complicated by not having the mobile payment apps set up yet. The front desk staff guided me through the hassle, and made a tough situation much easier.

After entering the room and connecting to the wifi, I found that there was no network. I called the front desk and ignored it after connecting the instructions. We had a Business Executive room which was very large with a view of the Yong Jiang river. There was a King bed, 4 waters daily, fridge, 2 sofas, desk, TV, nightstands, good size bathroom with 2 showers and one tub. The TV only had one English station CGTN. The hotel is close to the river walk. The breakfast was excellent, however almost the same every day. Also, it was extremely busy between 7:30 - 9 AM. Housekeeping was excellent. This hotel is not good for English speaking visitors, only chinese speaking. They seem to cater to groups coming for meetings. My wife speaks chinese, otherwise it would be impossible to communicate with the hotel staff. The location is not great, not any good restaurants close. We were there in April and it was 90 degrees and the pool was CLOSED until May, this was very disappointing.

When I checked in, the front desk staff was warm and thoughtful, and arranged a room on the 44th floor for me. During the entire stay, the service in the executive lounge impressed me the most. Yumei, like the warm sun in spring, has a bright smile, a lively and lovely personality, and can always keenly capture the needs of guests, making people feel warm. There are also Shizhi and Bindian, who are also enthusiastic and considerate. Their busy figures in the lounge have become a beautiful landscape here. They use professional and thoughtful services to make every guest feel at home. In contrast, the service in the fitness center on the 5th floor is so-so. When I met a male and female waiter, they all had cold faces. In short, the executive room is recommended, which is very cost-effective.

The stay at Marriot has been very comfortable that we decided to extend 1 more night. Service are exceptional especially Arthur and Sally, who had been very helpful. Arrived at the hotel in the morning but Sally helped to arrange a clean room for early check in. Arthur helped to resolve the card and room extension. Will come back again!
