Nachikatsuura Hotels with Parking

Loved this hotel so much! There are 5 different onsens (including two amazing cave onsens) and a garden and a deck at level 30+ and restaurants, souvenir shops and a Lawsons in the hotel itself. The downside is that it is only reachable by a short boat ride on a very adorable turtle boat from 7 to 7 at certain intervals so you’ll need to time your itineraries very precisely. However, I did enjoy coming back earlier from a long day of hiking at Kumano Kodo and relaxing in the different onsens, which were a big highlight of my trip. Also make sure to dine at Ihura Sushi at Kii-Katsuura, which has amazing sushi.

The sea view room we got was one of the biggest rooms we've stayed in. Felt like the space could easily sleep 10 people. The hotel is slightly older and the in-room shower area was very old. But their onsen was wonderful, especially the outdoor section.

The room space is good, but the air conditioner is 18 degrees for a full 30 minutes and the air conditioner temperature of my house is 25 degrees. And the bathroom is not very good. No elevator. It is recommended to have a car rental and not afraid to take the stairs.

The room is very nice, it's like a Japanese-style room as you would imagine. It's very comfortable to live near the sea. The staff were very warm and polite. Unfortunately, it rained when we checked in, and the three-story pagoda of Nachi Taisha Shrine happened to be under maintenance. I canceled my trip here, which is a pity.

Wanqinglou is the sister hotel of Urashima Hotel. It is also an old brand. It has its own hot spring pool for bathing, or you can take a boat to the Forget-to-go Cave of Urashima Hotel for hot spring bathing. At the same time, Wanqinglou claims to be a cooking hotel. You will never be disappointed if you choose to have dinner and breakfast when booking a room. The ingredients are rich and the ceremony is full (although some dishes are not accustomed to, they are still worth recommending from the perspective of experience and ingredients). The hotel and room facilities are a bit old, but overall they are clean and tidy. You can experience Japanese tatami, and the room is also equipped with kimonos to wear for hot spring bathing. In terms of location, he is on the side of the town, less than 10 minutes walk to the JR station/Kumano Kodo bus stop. Compared with Urashima and Nakanoshima Hotel, there is no need to wait for the boat to go back and forth, and travel is more free and convenient. Finally, we were assigned a room facing the sea on the 5th floor. From the balcony, you can overlook the fish port, the scenery 💯👍!

The location of the hotel is the closest to the Kii Tenman Station. This is an unattended station. The driver must check the ticket before getting off the bus, so it may be more troublesome to use an IC card. The hotel room is a bit old, but you can see Katsuura Port with a nice view.

Discourage: Tourists who like the standard of star-rated hotels may worry about whether the bed and quilt are clean enough. The ”private bath” is a larger bathtub.
