The breakfast buffet provides excellent food and service. The location offers convenience to attractions but guests felt the pricing was too high, especially for meals at the onsite restaurant.

Worst ever stay! Don't go! The housekeeping and maintenance manager was the worst kind. She even refused to apologise for the unclean room given to us. the AC was not working and we had to change the room 3 times during the same stay! There are some rooms where they have put steps to get into the bed! you will certainly fall if you woke up in the middle of the night. The towels given to us were torn with holes in it and when we mentioned to the housekeeping manager she dint care a bit, it was unbelievable! The only good thing is that they help you with luggage but then expect you to tip them which is ok but with this kind of stay you wouldn't want to tip any!

Windflower Resort is a huge complex in the middle of Mysore. The lobby is open on two sides and a curved roof made of some simple material, with a simple reception desk near the front. On the two covered two sides of the lobby, there are wooden cushioned sofas and sofa bed. The resort structures are standalone townhouse types, with a separate guest unit at the bottom and another above it, which you had to get to via stairs. The pathways are lined by cement column arches which are supposed to be very old. The rooms themselves are quite large. A large four-poster bed occupies the center of the bedroom. Sliding doors lead to a beautiful balcony deck which has two chairs and a coffee table and overlooks the pool fountain that separated our wing from the opposite wing of the guest rooms. Beyond the wardrobe cabinet was the door that led to the T&B. One minor complaint was the lack of electrical outlets. There was one for each night table but nowhere else in the room. But the biggest complaint which we and the other couples traveling with us was the dangerous design of the poster bed. For some reason, the designed thought putting two wooden steps – each about 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep - to get to the mattress was cute. In fact, it made it very difficult to get on the bed since your feet had to be at least a foot away, and it made it difficult to get out of bed because again you had to extend your legs than push away from the mattress. But what made it even more dangerous was that you could badly hurt your toes or shins if you bumped the sides of the bed during the night; in fact, a couple of the people we were traveling with had hurt themselves. I hope Windflower changes their bed frames soon! Meals were served in a separate place away from both reception and guest wings. The layout and décor of both places was very well done. They served good food. On the way to the restaurant was the pool, the water of which was replenished from an impressive artificial waterfall.

We travelled to Mysuru in the peak tourist season - the Navaratri festival of year 2024 - alongwith our 6 year old toddler. We booked directly through the website of the resort 2 months prior to travel, and hence got a whopping 60% discount. We booked the "Studio room" which are located on first floor. The best parts : - Check-in was flawless, barely took 10 minutes for the paperwork and handover of room keys. - Great view of the iconic Chamundi Hills. During Navaratri, there was a massive display of lights saying "Welcome" in English and Kannada on top of the Chamundi hills. - Every staff member was very attentive and courteous. We have to specifically acknowledge Ms Kavya at Le Olive Garden and numerous other cheerful smiling staff at the dining area (apologies for not remembering everyone's name). They were very affectionate towards our toddler who is extremely fussy with spicy food. They happily prepared non-spicy food for him and he just loved it. - They provided a glass of hot milk for our kid daily in the evening on request, and did not charge a single penny for it. - Room service (evening milk) was super-fast, it never took more than 10 minutes. - They provided complimentary dessert (dark chocolate pastry) to our toddler at least 3 times for dinner. - The amazing chef prepared complimentary utthapam for my toddler for breakfast. - The pet cockatoo at the reception is a great attraction for kids. - There are a lot of calm and peaceful ducks and geese which keep roaming around the resort. - Birdwatchers get to see hornbills, parrots, humming birds and lot of other birds all around the resort. - Swimming pool looks amazing from outside - we did not go in the pool, so cannot say anything about the changing rooms etc. Now, the parts which are not exactly bad, but do need serious attention : - There are too many monkeys and cats around the resort. The staff try their best to shoo away these animals, but still better to exercise caution in the resort premises. Cats roaming around the dining area and under the tables during dinner is not at all hygienic. - More prominent display of warnings needed about monkeys around the resort. Currently, there is just a small sticker on the balcony doors. - The resort does send detailed whatsapp message a night before check-in telling about directions, weather etc. But, let us be realistic - sending message about "weather condition" just 16 hours before check-in is of no practical use ! Please send weather related info at least 2-3 days in advance, else it is simply useless ! The BAD part - the overall condition of rooms The rooms are literally crying with folded hands saying - "please renovate us immediately !" - Housekeeping was VERY BAD. They never provided fresh towels unless and until we called up the reception ! Everyday, despite requesting that we are 3 persons and we need 3 towels - they would provide just 2 after the first phone call to reception, then would again go back and bri

It was a disappointment to stay at Windflower Mysore. The property is not maintained at all. Don't go by the photographs. The property is in bad shape. The bathroom doors are creaky and dirty. The bath area glass doors are broken and have been replaced by shady looking curtains. Specially room number 26. Nobody should stay in room number 26. Nothing works in that room. Its not worth staying. You have to constantly ask for towels, toiletries etc. which is expected to be there when you check in. I have never seen a resort where the night duty manager sleeps at the reception on the sofa even well after sunrise. The whole experience was crappy and not worth the hefty price that they charge. The only saving grace was food. Don't go there if you have an option.

It is crazy that this resort demands full payment at the time of booking. I have till now paid at other hotels and resorts only upon checkout. I have just booked here and yet to stay. I will write another review for the stay experience after checkout.
