We first arrived in the afternoon on Sept.15th for a two night stay, we stood at the desk for about 5min. The two employees at the desk where talking to one another, we patiently waited for them to finish. So the man looks up and says to my husband ”WHAT DO YOU WANT” in a very harsh tone. From that point it only got worse, our room was like being in a youth hostel, bunk beds with 1 chair, so my husband and I wanted to play cards, so he ask the front desk can we please have a second chair, he is told he needs to return it before 10pm, which was fine. Next night we wanted to play cards after coming back from Oktoberfest, so my husband goes into the little restaurant to get a chair and the women starts screaming A$$hole in German at him, he says to her that he'll bring it back before 10pm, but she kept on screaming. So he left the chair alone. The only good thing about this place was the water pressure.

I frequently stay in Ibis Budget hotels when I travel, because the rooms have everything I need and I’m not paying for anything I don’t (well, except the TV). This one is a little out of the way, but convenient enough if you can figure out the Munich subway system (the nearest stop is Oberwiesenfeld on the U3 line to Moosach), and it would be a great area for a family with kids, as it’s near a park and playground. The staff are friendly and helpful and fluent in English, and the rooms, while short on floor space, are clean and well-lit. The bed is comfortable, though the desk chair could be more so. The shower is hot, though the stall is small enough that larger people might have trouble squeezing in. The snack bar has a good range of beers, but not much else; breakfast costs extra, and the dining choices in the area are very limited, so eat up when you get into town.
