Marienplatz
Ccaptured happinessThe third largest city in Germany and the largest city in southern Germany. Marienplatz is the central square of Munich. In the middle of the square is a statue of the Virgin Mary, and to the north of the square is the Gothic town hall, which was built between 1867 and 1908. In the middle of the town hall is an 85-meter-high clock tower with a famous doll clock. At 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., the dolls that chime come out with music to show the scene of William V's wedding ceremony in 1568 and the scene of the elimination of the Black Death. Not far to the northwest of the square are two famous onion-domed Frauenkirche churches, which are the symbolic buildings of Munich.
Marienplatz is always bustling at any time. Marienplatz is not large, but Munich's historical heritage and cultural accumulation can be seen everywhere. The buildings on the square are worth seeing: there is a column of the Virgin Mary in the middle of the square, and on top is a golden statue of the Virgin Mary, holding a scepter in her right hand and holding the baby Jesus in her left hand, holy and dignified. The magnificent Gothic building to the north of the square is the New Town Hall of Munich.
However, the most worth seeing here is the daily wall clock performance. On the clock tower of the square is the largest puppet clock in Germany. Every time it rings at 11:00, 12:00, and 17:00, the puppets inside will come out of the clock tower to line up and perform, which is very interesting. You can enjoy the interesting puppet dance on the clock tower of the City Hall in the square.
Fountain
The bronze statue fountain on Marienplatz is the Fish Spring Wishing Fountain, which is opposite the entrance of the New City Hall. The eye-catching onion dome building in the northwest of the square is the Church of Our Lady. You can climb the tower to overlook the whole city of Munich. This is also a good place to take pictures of Marienplatz. The spire building in the northeast is the Old Town Hall of Munich.
In Marienplatz, in addition to admiring the exquisite architecture, you can also see the most vibrant side of Munich. You can see all kinds of people in this square, including couples walking together, street performers playing music and singing, and rickshaws carrying tourists around. All kinds of life are right in front of you. The square is always crowded with people and trams are running continuously during the day. There are brand stores, as well as an open-air food court and a flower and bird market with local characteristics. It is a good experience to sit down in a restaurant to have a beer, watch the wonderful performances of street performers, or visit an ancient church.

The child who doesn't like to go to the Science and Technology Museum spent a whole day here today. He didn't even feel hungry for lunch. He was so happy that he didn't even go to the palace in the afternoon. Hahahaha, it's worth bringing the children together

English Garden
SsculptorMunich's "English Garden" is one of the world's largest urban parks, built in 1789, in the style of English country gardens. There is an artificial river in the garden, with a standing wave generated by the change of layer flow and turbulence, which is popular with surfers.
