Mercure Hotel Muenchen Altstadt

Easily found after alighting at the Marienplatz station. There are stairs when entering the hotel and from the lift to some rooms so it can be a challenge for those with heavy luggage or have difficulty going up and down stairs. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was great. However, the toilet had some smell like something damp kept within an enclosed space. Location was great as you can easily walk to most attractions.
Hotel Wallis

Hauptbahnhof
The best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly its location. The quality and variety of food were quite good, and we enjoyed the delicious spread they offered. However, the hotel has a peculiar policy of reserving a specific breakfast time during check-in. The rooms at Hotel Wallis were decent, but we encountered a significant issue with the noise level in certain rooms. Another notable downside was the absence of water in our room. And just keep in mind that they don’t know english that well

H2 Hotel München Messe
4.5/5125 Reviews
It is very close to the exhibition hall, which is very convenient for us to participate in the exhibition. The room is not big and the price is expensive. The room is clean and has enough charging sockets, but there is no kettle. It takes a long time to queue up at the front desk. Luggage storage service and trolleys are provided, which is very convenient.
Hotel Rivoli

Everything was excellent. Few steps from S-bahn and U-bahn stations, 1 minute :) 4 stops to Marienplatz (city centre) with u-bahn. 4 stops to central train station with s-bahn. Only 15 minutes. Breakfast was excellent. You can find Mediterranean breakfast; olive, tomatoes, lettuce, fried eggs. There are many more alternatives. Because of its location and excellent breakfast, I would stay there if I go to Munich again. But there isn’t mini bar. I prefer cold water even if it’s snowing.
Hotel Fidelio

The hotel is located 2 minutes from U-Bahn station Theresienwiese, very close to Oktoberfest venue, and 20 minutes easily on foot to Marienplatz. For the price we paid you will not find a better one in the central area of Munich. The room was ready before noon when we arrived. While reading other guests' comments, I wonder if we stayed at the same hotel? Some of the guests complained that they were freezing, sleeping with their coats over blankets – however it was quite the opposite! Because of these comments I took my warmest pyjamas with me that I did not wear at all, as it was very warm in the room (we stayed 5 nights in December). The radiators can be adjusted manually as you please, from cold to super warm! Some other said they had only one towel per person, we had two and one for the floor, and they were changed whenever we threw them on the shower floor. Room was cleaned daily, and it was quite large, with nice seating area, perfectly quiet (our room was facing the yard, 3rd floor), with comfy beds, super Wi-Fi (very strong signal). It is not luxurious, but nothing was lacking in the room (even the hairdryer was there, obviously other complaining guests could not find it, as it was in the desk drawer). Breakfast was standard and decent, the only minus for us was the lack of scrambled eggs. Staff was very nice and helpful and I would recommend this place without hesitation!
