Cool vibe and decent location, but the pros stop there. Broken room refrigerator, broken AC unit, worst pillows I’ve ever slept on, noisy room. And the hotel breakfast that was included, maybe it was just me, but not my favorite (basically just some breads and cold meats). I went out for breakfast every morning despite the free hotel breakfast.

Was going to stay at this hotel for three nights, in august, but it was impossible. The room was EXTREMLY hot and I had problem breathing in my room (I have asthma). After an hour I couldn't stand it and wanted to check out. But the nice receptionist gave me a aircooler to place in my room but that didn't help much. It's embarrassing to say but I actully spend the night on the floor in the bathroom, it was tiny bit cooler in there. But I actully felt sick beacuse of the heat in that room. I got a terrible headace and felt nauseous. I didn't sleep much, maybe an hour in total and in the morning I just went down and ate a little breakfast and checked-out. I cried when leaving the hotel beacuse I still didn't feel well. I checked-in to another hotel with with better ventilation. The staff was friendly so the negitive review is not towards them but to the hotel it self. I cannot recommend this hotel to people with asthma, elderly or anyone that can't handle heat.

I had the misfortune of checking in at the JAMS Music Hotel Munich on Sunday, the 11th, at precisely 5:21 PM. By 6:07 PM on the very same day, I was already checking out, drenched in sweat and utterly disappointed with what was supposed to be a 4-star experience. I booked this hotel expecting a comfortable stay, but instead, I found myself in a room where the temperature read a staggering 89°F (31.7°C). For a property advertised as a 4-star hotel, the complete lack of adequate air conditioning is unacceptable and frankly dangerous. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the stifling heat was evident. A 4-star hotel should not have guests sweating profusely just from checking in and making their way to their room. It's mind-boggling that a property of this supposed caliber would fail to provide such a basic necessity. I had booked a suite for a seven-night stay, paying 50% upfront, under the assumption that I would be staying in a comfortable, air-conditioned room. However, what I experienced was far from what was advertised. The hotel felt more like a 2-star establishment masquerading as a 4-star property. The room was a glorified sweatbox, and to make matters worse, the hotel lacked basic amenities like a functioning restaurant and other services that one would expect from a hotel claiming to be of this standard. Given the unbearable conditions, I had no choice but to check out immediately and seek accommodations elsewhere. I reached out to the hotel via email to resolve this issue and discuss a refund, but I have been met with complete silence. The lack of response is as shocking as the conditions of the room. To add insult to injury, my credit card is due to be charged the remaining 50% on Sunday. If this charge goes through without addressing the issues I faced, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further. This is not a 4-star hotel. It is a poorly managed establishment with zero regard for guest comfort or satisfaction. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay at JAMS Music Hotel Munich to think twice. There are plenty of other hotels in Munich that offer genuine 4-star service. This place, however, is not one of them. Avoid at all costs.

We stayed here in June 2024 whilst over in Munich to watch Scotland in the Euros. Location is really good, about a 15 minute walk into the main center of Munich, also has some nice food places nearby to eat. Hotel itself is very quirky and has a music vibe to it as the name suggests. There is a ton of vinyl to choose from in the reception that you can take and play on your own record player in the bedroom, as well as some live music in there main bar. The rooms i was in was a single room with a small double bed, and although it was small, it was very clean and more than comfortable for what i required. The staff were all very nice and helpful, check in was very simple and my stay included breakfast which was very nice. Would i stay here again if i was in Munich, yes i would. main benefit is the location and cost of hotel. Some people say it was too warm, i didn't experience this, and others say its very basic. Whilst i agree it not competing with 5* stars hotels, its not trying to. If you require a hotel that is central, comfortable, and has a nice bar you can relax in after a day walking Munich, then you cant go too far wrong staying here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would come back. Many thanks

I stayed in JAMS Hotel Munich for four nights, and I had mixed feelings. Whilst the hotel has cool vibes, the temperature of the rooms were anything but. My room was boiling hot, and lacked any air conditioning (which is one of the advertised features on Booking, where I booked this hotel). I called reception and asked if the hotel actually had air conditioning. I was informed that there was air con and it was on full-blast, but because of the exceptional heat there wasn't enough power. Personally, I don't think I've ever seen air conditioning that didn't work in the heat. This was during a heat warning; where Munich was experiencing temperatures of 35 degrees, so I didn't question it much further. However as the days got colder, I never felt that the room benefitted from air con. Either the air con doesn't exist, or it's some kind of fan/cooling system. One thing that did help with the heat however, was the free minibar which included daily water, sodas, and beer. All of the drinks were really high quality and definitely added to the experience. My stay also included continental breakfast, which operated from 7 until 11am. I thought it was really high quality. I also tried a cocktail at the bar during my stay, which I thought was very nice. Circling back to the decor, I thought the hotel was very modern and contemporary. The rooms look very stylish and new, and the musical theme runs throughout the hotel. I stayed in a comfort single room on the second floor, and it was a very large room. The double bed was also massive. There is no wall separating the shower and sink area, although there is a curtain and a separate room for the toilet. I personally didn't have any issues with the noise, from either downstairs or the rooms around me. One of my favourite things about the hotel is the vinyl record player in every room. You can pick up a vinyl from the reception and bring it to your room to listen at your own leisure. I really enjoyed this, and I think it really completes the musical theme. There's also a bluetooth speaker, if you wanted to listen to something on your phone. Although I will say that the free wifi was very hit-and-miss for me. It was slow, and sometimes wouldn't work. The service was brilliant, and very friendly. The staff were very welcoming to English-speaking tourists, and they were very accommodating overall. The rooms were kept very clean, and there were lots of additional services offered by the hotel such as bike rental and an airport shuttle service. Lastly, JAMS is quite near to the city centre. Expect a 10-20 minute walk away from the big landmarks. Although there are a few local landmarks and sights to see too. There are a few nice restaurants nearby too, and there is a metro that can get you in the city in two stops. Not to mention that the metro has services which go directly to the airport. If you're staying here in the summer; be prepared to face the full heat of Munich. I cannot recommend it for that reaso

So Cool. Except for the rooms. This trendy hotel in Munich has great rooms, vinyl LPs in the lobby to play in your room and super friendly staff. Great location, 10 min walk to the AltStadt. It’s just. The room was so hot, even in late December that none of us could sleep, windows open made no difference. If Greta ever visits, she will be furious. But the staff were magnificent. Would I return? No. But only because I’m old and only have maybe 30 hotel visits left. But you should go. Take your own vinyl. The hotel selection is dreadful. A hotel stay is made or broken by its staff. These guys rock.

One of the worst hotels. No security, I got the key to my wife’s room without identification. Hotel was cold, we needed a heater in room. Clerk told us there is floor heating but there is not, except at toilet. Housekeeping does not clean properly, dishes were left in rooms over days. Free minibar is a joke (2 beers, water and a juice). We got three version of how to restock: Minibar will be restocked my minibar team (writing) We have to come to front desk since minibar team changed. New clerk told us she does not know anything and we should go to bar. Elevator buttons had to be pushed multiple times, because once door closed they went dark again. Breakfast is a nightmare , clerk did not know difference between Latte and Cappuccino. Only ordinary food on buffet. We won’t come back to JAMS

Stayed here for 3 nights, lovely quirky hotel. Limited menu but food grand. Vinyl record library in foyer for use to play on your record player in your room. Reception staff and female bar staff very pleasant. On the downside, room hygiene was poor. No cleaning daily, bed made but no clean glasses or towels left. No rubbish lifted, used bottles, bin rubbish left. Last morning on Sunday 29th, male staff member at breakfast making coffees was very rude. Deliberately ignored me awaiting service at counter and proceeded to carry two empty cups to kitchen. When asked for assistance with where to get utensils was abrupt. Was a busy morning but acknowledgement of customer and explanation of possible wait would have been more acceptable than ignoring customers. Perhaps he could have refresher course in customer relations. Overall nice hotel and reasonably placed for touring Munich. Thank You P McGuinness Ireland
