I stayed here for one night. Check-in was easy despite it being busy due to the Munich Marathon. You can buy drinks and snacks in reception. The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. The floor was dirty, there was a wasp nest in the top corner by the window, and the sheets had dubious stains. On the wall there’s a notice saying that in the interests of the environment, you can opt not to have your room cleaned every day, and if you choose this option you get a free drink. It seems like quite a few previous guests chose this option! The hotel was ok for just one night- not sure I’d go back.

I frequently stay in Ibis Budget hotels when I travel, because the rooms have everything I need and I’m not paying for anything I don’t (well, except the TV). This one is a little out of the way, but convenient enough if you can figure out the Munich subway system (the nearest stop is Oberwiesenfeld on the U3 line to Moosach), and it would be a great area for a family with kids, as it’s near a park and playground. The staff are friendly and helpful and fluent in English, and the rooms, while short on floor space, are clean and well-lit. The bed is comfortable, though the desk chair could be more so. The shower is hot, though the stall is small enough that larger people might have trouble squeezing in. The snack bar has a good range of beers, but not much else; breakfast costs extra, and the dining choices in the area are very limited, so eat up when you get into town.

I called the hotel reservation to confirm recarding child accomodation if two child can be accomodated in the room. They confirmed yes. After booking they send a messgae that that policy does not allow and they asked to book additional rooms. When told i had contacted before making the booking and to check the recordings hotel staff agreed that it was a mis communication and they will refund the amount if we do not want to book additional room. After we cancelled the room and contacted for refund, hotel rejected to refund the amount stating it was not refundable. I have all the proof of the chat conversation from hotel comitting for refund even if it is non refundable because of miss communication from the hotel side. i could not believe that a brand like IBIS can cheat this way by commiting and taking back their words. I have full chat conversation, unfortouatily i cannot could not take the case further as i cam for vacation and will anyone during their vacation go through this? Very sad and un professional of the hotel.

I booked this hotel in March for a two night stay in May. I received an email from the hotel saying, "Ihre Zahlung wurde bestätigt. (payment confirmed)" So, all good. When I arrived, I was told that my reservation was "storniert" (cancelled). I asked why. The receptionist said she didn't know. Another receptionist told me that maybe my credit card was not accepted by Accor because they are in France. Accor is the parent company. I asked why my Deutsche Bank credit card, which I have used all over the world, would be rejected by a company because it was in France. She did not know. I was in town for a class and had to take another room, for which I was charged 71.10€ more than my booking price. I used the same credit card, and...it worked. Ok, this is obviously a scam being run by Accor or by the local hotel. I'm not sure which. I emailed Accor and they tell me that they cancelled it because I did not pay. But I have a confirmation that says I DID pay. So this is obviously a lie. And even if my card was rejected, why didn't the company send me an email informing me so that I could pay a different way? Whether they are incompetent or fraudulent, there is no excuse for their behaviour. I demanded a refund of the 71.10 extra charge and they refused. Well then my answer is that I will never again book a room at an Accor-owned hotel.

Unsecured parking. We found our vehicle with a knock on the bodywork. Uncomfortable bedding. Difficult to take a shower in complete privacy due to the opening to the room and the mirror facing the door.

I've stayed at the Ibis Budget Olympiapark many times now, but this time it was a disaster. There were spider webs hanging from the ceiling and the picture above the bed was covered in dust as thick as a finger. I had friends with me in Munich and they saw it too. We didn't hear much from the staff. Probably because we were only there for one night!

We were in the hotel because we wanted to go to a concert in the Olympic Park. The hotel is very basic and really doesn't deserve more than one star. Service was satisfactory. For example, I couldn't buy a beer at 10 in the evening because there were problems with the cash register. 10 minutes later, no one was there. Although there is a subway station very close by, I can't recommend the hotel for a classic Munich trip.

We booked a standard room for one night. In this room, there was a child's bed, about 1.50 cm high, across from the double bed. This bed, which was mounted at eye level, meant that if you weren't careful, you would constantly bang your forehead against it, especially at night. This night turned out to be a nightmare. Never again in a standard room in this hotel. R. Abt
