Excellent facilities, reception counter closed at 6pm, room key will be provided at sealed envelope after 6 pm, highly recommended

Please note that the entire place does not have any rooms that have ensuite bathroom, it doesn’t exist. I remembered checking on this before I booked, stated that there was an ensuite bathroom, that’s why I booked it. But when checking in, the receptionist say that it doesn’t exist, we only got a private room. He mentioned that maybe there was way back before a change in management/renovation, but now there isn’t any more. There are 4 private rooms on the 2nd floor, and 1 shared toilet and shower room for the 4 rooms, but if it’s occupied we can go the 1st floor. The room is quite tiny, with minimal space for luggage. So don’t bring all ur luggages if you are only staying 1-2 nights, pack it into 1 bag would be good, also cuz there’s no lift, you’ll have to carry up your luggage up the stairs.

The single room is small, but very clean and has a hair dryer in the room. The view is great. The bathroom and toilet are shared. The walls are thin, so you can hear the people next door.

As far as the hostel is concerned, the facilities and equipment are in good condition. If I go to Mount Cook again in the future, I will definitely stay here again! Love everything about this place, the scenery is beautiful and relatively convenient!

This is one of the few hotels in Moundcock. There are no meals provided, so you should prepare your own food.

The only drawback is that there is no hair dryer. Let’s ask if there can be a hair dryer in the shower room? The haka house in Tekapo has a hair dryer. But overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The room had no smell and was cold. I also particularly liked the lounge. In addition, the surrounding hiking routes were well received.

It’s quite messy. There was suddenly no hot water when I took a shower at 9:30 in the evening. In the snowy mountainous area in winter, it’s almost fatal.

Accommodation in Mount Cook is really expensive. For this price, you can stay in a mid-to-high-end international five-star hotel in the center of Shanghai. Here, you can stay in a youth hostel in a double room with a shared bathroom. It rained all day, and all the scheduled assault boats and helicopters were cancelled. In the middle of the night, we were able to see the stars during the rain break, and we even saw the Golden Dome early in the morning.

This youth hostel in Mount Cook is very cost-effective. I have stayed at a YHA in Queenstown before and the atmosphere is quite good! You can cook your own food! The surrounding scenery is so beautiful! Will stay here next time

The only youth hostel in Mount Cook is not only well-equipped, but also clean and tidy. Surprisingly, it even has a sauna cabin. Except for poor soundproofing, everything else is good.
