What a DIAMOND in the middle of nowhere! I am so glad that we found this place. Especially ADOLFO and CORALINE did everything to make us feel at home! They went the extra mile to comfort us, so we decided to stay 4 nights longer. Dear Hôtel de Mougins, if you are reading this: thank these two lovely people and give them a raise. Traveling by car can be a bit of a hassle when you stay in Cannes because the minority (if none) of the hotels can keep an eye on your car, so we decided to look a bit on the inland side. We are thrilled how calm and tasteful this little hotel is. Normally hotels in that price range still tend to attract people who are loud at the pool and treat it like a ibis budget hotel, but here everything is really, really calm and has and respectful air to it. We found this hotel whilst en route to Spain, so a quick overnight stopover. But it was lovely. It felt a bit like the sort of hotel you would see in a 60's film and had a feeling of old style tradition about it. The pool was great and the hotel was very quiet with plenty of sun around the pool. Our room was comfy and had a small balcony, but there was a large tree overhanging it, so we didn't use it: too many mozzies! Not much English spoken here, which I always find refreshing and I enjoyed trying to make my schoolgirl French work! The food in the restaurant was good - maybe a little overpriced, but that is the area it is in I believe. Breakfast was great with a really good selection on offer. Overall we very much enjoyed our stop over - it was a little pricey, but that is the location.

Stylish room and welcoming staff. Lots of space in the suite and luxuious bed. Room was a short walk through the village to the hotel lobby, terrace and pool. Pool was beautiful, plenty of comfortable sunbeds, but few umbrellas for shade (came away redder than the enourous crab scupture in the room). Staff were very frienldy and happy to order taxis and modify restaurant reservations - although definietly use Uber instead of the taxi service which was three times the price! Location is remote so a car hire would be more convenient as Mougins is extremely small with no shops in the village. Hotel is true to the photos and a lovely place to relax for a couple of days.
