What a horrible experience I am a 73 year old single woman who has travelled the world. I have never experienced such abuse as the "manager" of this hotel. I arrived after walking 25 minutes in 35 degree heat. A lovely young woman checked me in and also booked my breakfast. I noticed a surly looming woman glaring at me in the background. I casually mentioned to the young woman "I think my bill has been paid on Booking" she said no, its cash only at the hotel. I said, do you mind if I just check my Booking account to be sure. No problem she says. So I check and tell her she is right and I will pay cash in advance. Now the older woman is coming over screaming at me to leave the hotel. What? She picks up my bags and throws them down the stairs. I sit in the lounge/restaurant and refuse to move until Ive spoken to the manager. Then she locked me in the lounge. I started screaming so loud she finally let me out after I threatened to call the police. The young woman was in tears but said she couldn't help me because she would get fired. Found another place eventually with very nice people

I can’t believe the hotel owner lets Jelena, or whatever the elderly receptionist’s name is, deal with public. I’ve been to well over 70 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels, so I can relate to the fact that there might be some misunderstandings due to the language barrier until she called me a crazy American. I thought to myself, maybe I misheard that, but then she went on to tell me how she hats people from certain countries (won’t mention which countries). Sorry, I have no room in my heart for prejudice. I ended up staying here since I had already booked online and had nowhere else to go, but it was not a pleasant stay. I did my best to avoid her and the scowl on her face. There were a few other unpleasant encounters but I won’t go into more detail.
