Travelers Reviews of Minamitsuru District Hotels

Mt Fuji View and Private Sauna Ryokan Shizuku(No accommodation for 12 years old and below)

Great, beyond expectations! Kawaguchiko came to the bus for about half an hour and could get off directly at the hotel entrance. The staff is super nice, English communication is barrier-free, the mountain view room terrace is facing Mount Fuji, and it is super clear. The hotel borrowed a bicycle to ride the white bird view for about 6-7 minutes. Be sure to go here to watch the red Fuji at sunrise! The net red coffee shop is opposite the white bird view ~ You can also play with the swan, will come back next time.
Motosu Phoenix Hotel

Due to heavy snow, the road was blocked and self-driving vehicles could not reach Motosuko Hotel. I called the hotel staff through the trip.com phone number. Although their English skills were a little lacking, the hotel staff was very patient and listened attentively. Finally, find a colleague who can speak English to explain clearly. Knowing the reason for cancellation is always better than not showing up without knowing the reason. Although the full amount cannot be recovered, safety is more important than anything else.
Fujisan Garden Hotel

It is considered a hotel with very large rooms for Japan. The dinner buffet has crabs to eat. The food is delicious. The bed is comfortable.
Shoji Lake Hotel

It is a small hotel. The rooms are decorated in a nostalgic Japanese style. The lobby was renovated earlier. There are not many facilities. It is a bit old but very clean. There are small baths and open-air baths. Since there are not many guests, it will not be crowded even if it is small. The staff is friendly. On the night of check-in and the next morning when you return to the hotel after taking photos, you will be served drinks in the lobby. When you leave, they will take the initiative to take photos for guests at the door with Mount Fuji as the background. The hotel faces Mount Fuji, so you can see Mount Fuji from the door and from the room. The location is not in a busy city, so it will be more convenient to drive by yourself. There are not many shops nearby, so it is best to buy some food for dinner and breakfast. The hotel also sells cup noodles and a small number of snacks, as well as drink vending machines. The advantage of living here is that if the weather is good when you get up early in the morning, you can see Mount Fuji before setting off to take pictures. If you want to take photos at several nearby lakes, it is a good choice. You can also take beautiful photos on the top floor of the hotel. The hotel's TV will automatically turn on at six in the morning. It may be the morning alarm clock. It was not mentioned when checking in, which is a bit scary, but once I open the window and see the beautiful Mount Fuji, it doesn't matter.
Hotel Koryu

The hotel can’t see Mount Fuji but the view of Kawaguchiko lake is just so good. The breakfast provided is damm yummy, and a lot of choices. There is a traditional room of tatami style, is super comfortable. Just the only bad is the hotel location I felt like quite far from the station, and hard to get taxi during night time. The nearest restaurant from the hotel have some distance, I suggest to having dinner in the hotel will be more convenient.
The Hotel Fujiyama

The hotel is indeed aging but remains charming! It offers typical Japanese rooms and rooms with beds and all of them are tidy and well maintained! The manager of the establishment is adorable and very accommodating. Breakfast is ok! The soup is a treat! Be careful because the restaurant does not offer dinner (at least during our stay). The only negative point is the distance from the “center” but buses pass regularly (except in the evening!).
