This hotel is coordinated by Ctrip. The boss can speak Chinese and helped us solve the problem of checking in at night as much as possible, and helped us book a taxi by phone for the next day.
This is a row of tent hotels, suitable for self-driving and local outings. The original intention of establishing it is probably to welcome locals to drive out for BBQ. Due to traffic reasons, it is not suitable for tourists. Tourists usually go to Kawaguchiko Town to see Mount Fuji.
Each tent is equipped with an independent BBQ area and matching stove. If you can use them, you will feel that the price/performance ratio is very high. But we are just tourists and have no use for it.
The boss's enthusiasm brought warmth to our group in a helpless night.
It was my first time to stay here, and I was a little worried because I hadn't seen other reviews before. But I really didn’t expect it. The experience here was completely beyond my expectation! Each small villa is spacious and comfortable, with complete facilities. Even the bathrooms are so luxurious, which surprised me. And although the nearby hot spring is not big, it is kept clean and tidy, and the bar next to it is a plus! Every dish at dinner was unique, especially the meltingly tender steak, which made me hooked. Also, the hotel is really close to Mount Fuji. The fresh air in the morning and the authentic breakfast made me feel even more happy. In short, I was pleasantly surprised by my stay this time. The price/performance ratio is really high. I will recommend this hotel to everyone without hesitation!
This is a resort hotel located a little way from Lake Kawaguchi. The hotel was clean, but eating and drinking were prohibited in the lobby and no drinking water was provided in the rooms.
There were no convenience stores near the hotel, so there was a supermarket and a 7-Eleven a short drive away.
The lobby was basically able to speak Japanese, English, and Chinese.

It was a good experience in Japan. For this kind of accommodation The first night, I slept in room 102, a good room with 4 beds and a dining table for 4 people. I liked it very much, so I asked to stay the 2nd night, but the 2nd night I got room number 105, a room with 2 futons + sofa. It was uncomfortable to sleep, the mattress was a moving spring. And the noise is very annoying.
The hotel service attitude is very good! Very considerate, reminding us of breakfast time and noticing that some of us hadn't eaten breakfast, so they called to ask if we had eaten. Complete facilities, free parking, table tennis room, children's playground, and hot springs. The room is very comfortable, and the kitchen utensils are all in place! Very cost-effective!

Resort is very near to mt Fuji, the view from villa is stunning although not view from the room however backyard from the room is good enough. We had 2 nights stay and breakfast experience is awesome, dining with mt Fuji with all self cook experience. Dinner bbq prepared by glamping is good just pricey, we had dinner outside second night, there are Aeon mall and sport depo 1 km away maybe less, we walked over and return not very hassle for us. But without car you can’t be easy at mt Fuji. Overall I love this quality glamping. 1 more sharing my friends stayed PAO, it is wonderful, exactly camping experience but high end camping facilities. Activities area is natural, We all love it.

Outstanding
AAutumnLeafThis is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Japan. Hospitality, cleanliness and food were perfect. Best value for a all-inclusive onsen resort by the lake.
Staff were friendly and attentive. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. They received us from the carpark and got our baggage for us. When we left, they made sure to carry our luggage to the car.
Rooms and the guest onsen were clean, big and spacious, with propery air-conditioning and heating. It also has a good view of mount Fuji from the room balcony (though unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days which I was there)
The food was amazing as well, there were so many choices and we were left stuffed after both dinner and breakfast.
Would highly recommend anyone this all inclusive hotel if you have the chance.
VVincentStaff are generally nice and helpful. Most of them can be communicated with English which makes our stay easier.
There are two hot spring site inside the hotel with one on the ground floor (1/F) and one on the top floor (5/F). One thing to note is there is no towel provided inside the hot spring changing room. You have to bring the towel inside your room to the hot spring site - and bring it back to your room if you plan to enjoy the hot spring 2nd time. This arrangement is not familiar for me as when I visited other hotel, they usually have more than enough towel for replacement at the changing room.
There is a room for kids to play and stay and it is great from family with kids. My kids also enjoy the welcome food very much (lots of donuts and cookies!)
The dinner for my package was Kaiseki-style. Since me and my family stayed for two nights, it is good that they have designed different meals for two nights! The beef is great I have to say. The staff will try their best to briefly introduce what the dishes were. We have the dinner in the restaurant so it may be a bit crowd and noisy to some people. From other tables I can see there is option for hotpot or even crabs! Re-checked with hotel's official web-site there are more choice on the dinner menu. Regarding the dinner menu choice, I did not find it when I order through Trip.com (maybe my bad), so it will be better if Trip.com can optimize the website outlook to make it more noticeable (I think this opinion applied to all other similar type Japanese hotel which provide high quality dinner).
When you arrive Kawaguchiko train/bus station, you can go to the Tourist center there (just turn right when you leave the station, it is at another building) and ask the staff there help to call the hotel for the pick-up. Similary, when you check-out, you can talk with the front-desk staff and arrange the shuttle-bus back to the station.
GGGGGbabybabeThe hotel has a simple environment and many attractions nearby. It's a first-class place to check in. Especially when you step out of the hotel in the morning, you will feel very good. Facing the entire Yamanaka Lake, you will be amazed. There is a cafe next to it where you can have breakfast and enjoy the beautiful lake view. It is a pleasant surprise. You can clearly see the entire Mount Fuji in front of you... priceless at this moment
DDayamirAnother nice hotel we stayed in is here Hotel Route Inn. Everything was great. View frm our room is magnificient. And the best thing is they have a private onsen that u can use with a fee. And very affirdable too!! Every staff is so helpful and polite. 🥰
GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!
GGuest UserThis heotel is valued the money. I booked a room for 3 persons. One double bed and one single bed. The beds are comfortable enough to sleep. Hotel also provided extra pillow if you needed. There is only one pond in public bath for male room. And one for female room. The clenliness is acceptable. Breakfast is not variety choices but good quality. The car parking is available in front and at the back of the hotel.
GGuest UserWent with my parents. Check in was relatively straight forward, as was check out. The hotel was quite spacious, the room was to be expected. Relatively basic but clean. Did not eat there. They were able to call us a taxi when needed. We enjoyed the onsen as it had different pools, though not sure about how much of it was “onsen water”.
SSRL13064We used the payphone at the train station to call the resort and they arranged a pick up service for us. It arrived within 15 minutes of the call so we didn’t have to wait too long in the cold. It would be better if they could let us know about this arrangement in the booking confirmation.
Driver who picked us up was a delight to meet! He was cheerful, coupled with his humorous mannerism, brightened up the otherwise gloomy journey amidst the cold.
Location of the resort is quite far away. Although there was a 7-11 within 10 minutes of walking, the nearest shopping cluster was 20 minutes away, although this shopping cluster is quite a complete one with a full pharmacy, supermarket and plenty of food options, ranging from cheap to exquisite. The resort is 30 minutes walk (15 minutes drive) away from Kawaguchiko station. The location will be more convenient for travelers who drive.
We woke up with a direct view of Fuji-San! Absolutely breath taking.
Breakfast, served buffet-style was sumptuous with Japanese food. It filled us up and got us ready for the day.
Upon check out, we realized we had to book the shuttle bus to the train station. We thought it would be readily available. This was not the case as the bus at the previous timings were full. This could have been made known to us upon check in. Also, the shuttle bus is actually a 7-seater car and not a bus. Maybe right-naming the vehicle is better as it will give travelers a better understanding the capacity of the transport.
GGuest UserAmazing ryokan. Friendly staffs & they spoke good English. Located right by the lake and you get amazing view from one of the onsen(there are two, one for men & women). A little bit old but the rooms, lobby, hallways & elevator are clean & well maintained. Highly recommended!
SSor Yi MingPlace is close to ropeway bus stop. however, it can be a challange to carry your luggage up the hill slope which is share with cars and visitors to the ropeway.
smoking room doesnt smell smoky as they provide purifier.. but the hallway lead to the room are very smoky in smell. just has to bare with it.
once enter, required to change show for their slippers, proceed to check in, there are foreign staffs that can speak some english to help with check in
if you check in between 3 to 5pm, there are free flow of snacks (popcorns, meatbun, mugi cha) and alcohols ( lemon sour and asahi beer)
once check in u can go for onsen to relax. not mandate to wear yukata. but feel free to do so for the immersion.
the room is dated, like stuck in the 90s or early 2000s. toilet is seperate from bath.. frankly speaking its better to bath at the onsen if you dont mind ***** infront of strangers n stared by japanese guests to see if u make any mistake ( they want you to be clean in every nook and cany) as they are in the onsen
has sauna but quite small. hover 82 degree c
has old school water spray jet which u need to control manually on all 3 sides.. good luck to do it fast during cold days.
basic amendities at the onsen area.. just hair dryer, fan and thats all
bed n pillow quite soft... pillow are small but u can get more from reception.
great view of the lake from hotel room and dining area.
breakfast is ok. everyday similar menu.. buffet style breakfast.. fish, asa curry, breads, minced marinated sashimi don, corn soup and miso soups. free flow coffee, soft drinks and limited selection of fruits.
dinner is ok, buffet style but 90 min.. need to info counter what is your prefered time slot. i recommend choose dinner... cuase it is quite a distance to the bus station for food.. and the queue are horrendous but the food are nice there tho, u can even admire mt fuji.
heard the dinner theme is based on months or seasons.
