Good service with English speaker staff. Location is a bit far from everything and hard to find the hotel.

It was the best part of my trip to Fukuoka, Aso, and Kurokawa. If you have a rental car, I highly recommend it! It's about 6 minutes from Kurokawa, so it's not that far, and it was a great place to feel nature and experience Japanese traditions rather than the bustle of Kurokawa. Here, I experienced two famous places in Kurokawa: open air, and my whole family said this was the best. It was a fun time at a house like Totoro Forest :)

The service and food are very good, but it is recommended only if you need to drive by yourself. The location is a bit remote and is not recommended for travelers without a car. But the environment is very comfortable. Each household has its own private hot spring that can be bathed at any time. 10 points comfortable and freehand!

Although the location is relatively remote, the environment is quiet. We visited in early November. Some of the maple trees were already red and beautiful. The family hot spring pool is great and you can see the stream.

The facilities were very, very good. However, the location is far from the bus stop and there is no pick-up vehicle, so you have to take a taxi or walk. I tried to order dinner and breakfast, but due to the typhoon, everyone except me canceled their reservations, so I was disappointed that they were not served.

The hotel is remote, and you have to take a taxi to go to Kurokawa Naka. Apart from the remote and inconvenient location, the hotel environment is good, away from the hustle and bustle, and there are waterfalls nearby. The staff are friendly and can communicate in simple English. The kaiseki cuisine and breakfast at night are very rich and delicious! The hot spring next to the room is huge!

The room has a private bath, with the sound of running water next to it, and you are completely immersed in the private world of nature! It’s about a 10-minute drive from Kurokawa Onsen, so it’s also very convenient if you’re traveling by car! Compared to Kurokawa Onsen, it is quiet and affordable.

The location is a bit far from Kurokawa Onsen Village, and there is no shuttle service, so it is inconvenient to use a taxi separately (about 1200-1300 yen), so the location score is a little off. However, the hot spring facilities, such as the enormous private open-air bath and the outstanding view, were very nice. Even if you go as a family, the size of the private open-air bath is large, so you can relax without any difficulty.

Dinner and breakfast are very exquisite, the service is considerate and thoughtful, and the environment is quiet and elegant

The rooms allocated were old and musty. The sound of the rushing river made it difficult to fall asleep. The windows of the rooms could not block the light, causing the morning sun to wake up the sleeping passengers very early. There were no service staff who could fully communicate in English.
