I finally chose this one among the thousands of Kurokawa Onsen. Except that it is a bit far from the main street and takes about 20 minutes to walk, everything else is very good. If you come in the glorious spring, it will make you even more happy, haha.
When entering the hotel, you need to check the reservation name, take the initiative to carry the suitcase, and introduce the hotel facilities. It is larger than the traditional family hot spring hotel. The rooms are villas, including twin beds, living room, toilet, shower, indoor private bath, etc. The banquet cuisine was average, but I met a Chinese waiter during the meal and the communication was smooth.
Overall, it is a very good hot spring hotel. It is recommended if you charter a car or drive yourself.

The service staff are very kind and attentive. When checking out, the gentleman at the counter for other consumption amounts said that you cannot pay by card and you have to pay in cash, but there is a sign at the counter that you can pay by card and it does not say that you must pay in cash. I feel a little strange.

This is the impression of traveling in the corona misfortune and cold. If you take a walk around the inn, you will find seven waterfalls, and the road is well maintained, so it is worth visiting in early summer. It doesn't have the power of Nabegataki in the same small country, but it's definitely a little-known spot. As expected, it was cold and I walked back to the inn for an hour. It was as magnificent as the open-air bath of Gajoen in Myoken Onsen and Gekkouju in Kurokawa Onsen. It was cold though. The quality of the hot springs was generally good! The reputation of the meal was high, but the taste was not good for me. Even so, the waiter in charge was lively and it was a fun time ♪

What a perfect service with nice and kind owners. The owner can pick you up at the bus stop for free if you want. The price of stay was cheap and reasonable and they provide you with Japanese traditional style meal with reasonable prices as well. I would recommend this Ryokan. I wish I could visit this again.

Go from the front desk to the back and cross the bridge on the river and enter the building with the room. It is a clean and rustic inn. In addition to the open-air bath and the public bath, there are ６ rental baths that are aimed at each. The bath is free to enter if it is empty rather than a reservation system. It is also convenient to be able to confirm ”empty” on the TV in the room. The meal is served in a private room prepared for each room near the front desk in the morning and evening. It was not a menu that was aimed at, but it was a dish with a feeling of handmade. From the pick-up, the guide, the meal waiter and one person were in charge. I had a service that matched the pace of the customer without hurrying. In the morning, he was sent to the master of the inn and received a handwritten thank you later.

When I arrived on the day, an employee was waiting in the parking lot and immediately carried my luggage. Afterwards, we were shown to a room and given an explanation while eating sweets. If possible, we would like to eat from 6 o'clock, so we moved to a private room and had dinner. My daughter wanted to eat horse meat sashimi, so I asked the waiter and he said it would cost 3,800 yen for about 5 slices per person, so I thought it would be ok to have one serving, but I thought it would be a little too much so I ordered two servings. , what was brought was not five pieces of horse meat, but four times the amount of horse meat on one plate. While I was wondering what this was all about and saying that one plate was fine, the waiter left the room and left the room. My husband hates conflicts, and although my daughter didn't say anything because I was going to eat, I am angry that there was no explanation or apology. It was very noisy when the dishes were put down, which is a shame because the other employees had a good attitude. The indoor bath was hot and the outdoor bath was lukewarm and cold, so I couldn't stay in it for long. There was a coffee machine in the room so we were looking forward to it, but it didn't suit our tastes. It was a tatami room, so I had a futon, but since I only had one futon, my back hurt because I wasn't used to it, probably because I usually sleep on a bed.

Uuzy09You can experience traditional Japanese relaxing time at this accommodation. They have a lot of separated Onsen rooms, and some could be locked by yourself as a private bath room. I recommend you to try some Onsen. You can also eat local dinner with a lot of dishes. The bed room is cover with Tatami which is a Japanese straw mat, and the Tatami is comfortable with your barefoot. Also no bed, you have to sleep on Japanese rug Futon. The facility is enough clean as well. I would like to stay again the accommodation when I will re-visit Kurokawa Onsen village. 静かな温泉街のステキな旅館。1泊だけでしたが、とても満足度の高い時間を過ごす事が出来ました。 この旅館にはたくさんの露天と内湯温泉があり、そのうち宿泊者用の家族風呂が10近くあります。部屋数も多くない旅館なので、ほぼ必ず楽しむ事が出来るでしょう。湯温もちょうどよく、家族風呂をはしごして楽しみました。 食事も素晴らしく、とても美味しい熊本料理を楽しめました。料理の質はかなり高かったと感じました。 仲居さんは研修生と書かれた、若い男性でしたが、対応も説明もしっかりこなしてくれて満足です。 また黒川温泉に来る機会があれば、お世話になりたい、そう思える時間でした。

After that, it became popular what happened, and when it revisited, it was issued by the inn as' hot water bill ', and people other than the guests could enjoy hot springs. ”It became a good hot spring area.” I thought so. ... but it is a little change, but the competition consciousness between the inn feels like a nose. There were some impossible times for the time to put the hot water bill and the time to use it, and it was difficult to use. It's small, so there's no way to do it now, but I'm worried that I feel a disturbing wind just knowing when it was abolished.

GGuest UserWe only interrupted you with the day trip rental bath. ２ name ４５ minutes ２０００ yen. Other inns were able to use it in the evening while ３ sometimes closed the day trip rental bath. However, since the rental bath on the day trip cannot be booked, you can put it if you are empty. The usual inner bath can be made without reservation. The dressing room of the rental bath is equipped with cleaning oil to emulsion, and it is put in the hand. I brought a towel, but there seems to be a rental or sale. It is a inn where the feeling that it seems to be a lady general is very polite, and the feeling that the building is also maintained is transmitted, and I wanted to use it even in the accommodation. The parking lot is not available for day trips, so I parked in a nearby joint free parking lot.

GGuest UserI stayed with my eldest son's family of 4 who live in Kumamoto.They said they had never stayed at Kurokawa Onsen even though they had lived in Kumamoto for about 6 years, so they came all the way from Saitama to pay all the expenses to us.I wonder what's going on. (lol) The accommodation was a large inn in Kurokawa Onsen, but we entered the hot springs at 4pm, 8pm, and 7am the next day, but for some reason we had almost exclusive access to the hot springs.We had a large indoor bath surrounded by a bamboo grove, and a Japanese cypress bath. There are three hot springs: two, an open-air bath, and a hot spring with an open-air bath that can be used by visitors.The second one was probably the best.The quality of the spring water is simple.The room was an ordinary Japanese-style room, but you could hear the sound of a waterfall from the river flowing beside it. The meal was a buffet, and the tuna sushi with red vinegar was excellent.Afterwards, we had various types of skewers, amberjack sashimi, roast beef, and my elementary school grandson ate 5 rolls of eel, which was overeating.There were all-you-can-drink shochu drinks. We were able to compare the drinks! The shochu from Kurokawa Onsen was delicious, and the breakfast buffet included natto and milk that were locally produced and delicious.At night, we got to see Jupiter and the moon through an astronomical telescope, and my grandson was impressed! I didn't go for a walk around the city due to the cold weather, so I just stayed at the inn, but I was able to take it easy.I think this is an inn that families can enjoy together.

GGuest UserThe Yamanami highway runs to Beppu area, and it turns to the left side of Kurokawa Onsen from the intersection with national route 442 where the rest house of Seno is located. Since several years ago, national route 442 has changed to a new road, and it is easy to run with a margin of road width. This inn is ”Ryokan Wakaba”. There seems to be a lot of guests in GoTo travel, and there is no space to stop in the free parking lot, so the key is left at the front desk. The night meal is room meal. When you sit in the seat and look at the drink menu, the drink using ginger seems to be delicious. When Nakai comes, you order ”ginger sweet sake” which is said to be the least alcohol. The dishes are also carried in good procedure. The dishes unique to Kumamoto are delicious, such as frost horse stab and red chicken after Kumamoto miso beef. However, Yakiniku in the room smells on the clothes. Breakfast is usually served in the hall on the first floor, but it is a lunch box in each room to prevent corona virus infection. Rice is cooked with a cherry blossom using shichijo rice, and the side dish is a delicious morning rice called 'rokuhon of kokokugo' and 'miso soup of shichijo rice, tsukitake and Minami Seki fried rice. The inn was friendly and the response was good and the hot spring was pleasant.

I would have said that this villa was perfect, but unfortunately, the hot plate listed as a facility was nowhere to be found.
Even though the cold water valve was turned off, the hot spring suddenly turned cold twice, and it was difficult to understand whether it was set to change to cold water at a certain time or not, as there were no details in the room guide.
If there is a time setting, it would be helpful if it was written in the room guide.
When I tried to get into the hot spring, I was surprised at how cold the bathtub was.
And if check-out was at least 11:00, it would have been even more perfect!
Even so, I would still like to stay for multiple nights next time.

The design of the cabin is stunning. The two-story independent cabin allows children to climb up and down as much as they like. The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic. Even if he doesn't understand the language, he tries his best to use translation software to introduce Kurokawa Onsen's attractions and B&B facilities. It really makes people feel like returning to their hometown.
Kurokawa is very quiet at night, and you can really enjoy the tranquility and leisure of the deep mountain hot springs.
The cabin is fully equipped and can be used for simple cooking. I cooked Japanese sukiyaki pot with the children in the cabin, which was very satisfying!
The outdoor hot spring in the B&B is another amazing place. Because it was summer, we didn’t make a reservation for the hot spring. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically invited us to enjoy it (unexpectedly). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an independent open-air hot spring. I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s too Feel comfortable!
The next day, the children were very reluctant to say goodbye to the owner of the B&B and the owner's dog. Along the way, they still missed the comfortable bed (actually just a tatami sleeping mat) in the B&B. I will definitely visit again next time I have the opportunity!

JjojopengStayed for 3D2N from 11 June to 13June 2019 with our Family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children aged 13,10 and 9. We drove from Hakata , took abt 3 hours for us to drive here as we stop by an Aeon mall halfway to stock up our supplies and the meat for our BBQ dinner. Our chalet is just beside the check in area, also near the public onsen and camp site . If u are at this resort, do go to the campsite to admire the magnificent view of Mount Aso and the surroundings. It's so beautiful! Sunrise is at 4.30am... For 2 consecutive morning , I woke up at 5am to take a walk and view the sunrise. I'm lucky that the first sunrise was a cloudy day , watching the sun rays shining through the clouds, looking at the clouds evolving into different shapes falling on the mountains... Every moment is a beautiful picture... The next sunrise was a clear sky, I could see mount Aso clearly with some smoke coming out , the beautiful sun rays falling on the mountains and pine trees forest makes me feel like I'm in a painting. And lucky me, I spotted a group of 4 wild horses from afar . They were at the valley and slowly made their way up and were really close to the camping ground. So blessed to see them upclose. After my morning walk, I would go to the public onsen to have a soak. There is a female and a male onsen area, they would switch the area everyday. The public onsen will be closed from 9am for cleaning and switching side. Reopened in the afternoon during check in time. Although there is a private onsen in our chalet, it's good to experience the beautiful public onsen area... As I'm early, there's no one in the public onsen. So I have the onsen to myself. Cooling temperature abt 22-25 degrees in the morning, soaking in the hot outdoor onsen is such a luxury. BBQ dinner: we have a BBQ pit right at our door step. We paid 2,000 yen to have the BBQ equipment for the first night BBQ dinner. It's advisable to stock up your supply before u reach the mountain area. There are a few Aeon malls along the expressways from Hakata to Kurokawa onsen area. We bought some beef, pork and Vege and marshmallow. Although we only arrived at around 5pm, settling down then setup the fire etc, we manage to get everything started by 8pm.The kids enjoyed and we all had a good dinner. It's really a special experience for us as BBQ in a cold weather is so much enjoyable than in the hot humid Singapore . The chalet : we have a living room with a large low table as the dining table, a TV , a toilet , a fully equipped kitchen, a fridge , a rice cooker, toaster oven, microwave oven, pots pans, utensils, kettle. There is also a air purifier and air-conditioning units. The futon beds are on the 2nd level. There's total 5 beds for us. We have to lay our bedsheets and pillow covers. Towels are also provided. No house keeping service throughout our stay. We did not drive out during the 3days 2 nights. I brought a picnic mat, so brought the kids for a picnic at the campsite area. Being city kids they
