Macdonald la Ermita Resort

This is the fourth or fifth time I have been here in the last 20 years. In that time not a lot has changed, a few minor updates here and there but thats not a bad thing and although some things are a little dated its still a well equipped apartment. Three adults and two kids stayed for five nights and used it mainly as a home base, spending most of the time out and about on visits but it was still a nice place for our breakfast and late evening relaxation. The surrounding town is lovely (ignoring the mistreatment of the donkeys) with a few restaurants, great views, local shops for supplies and a couple of interesting places to see. You can occupy yourself for a couple of days here at a push. Will we be back, almost certainly.

This is a nice resort with indoor pool and sauna in Mijas Pueblo. It is at least 3 degrees colder than in Mijas Costa. The beach is a 20 minutes ride in low season. Our renovated superior two bed apartment had seaview, 3 airconditioning units, a lot of light. The kitchen has a washing machine and a dishwasher but the kitchen is old. One seperate bathroom and one bedroom with a bath in the room itself. Reception was friendly. Unfortunately in the welnesscentre the steambath was not working properly and the aromatherapy shower was out of order. The indoor pool had a good temperature. The resort is very near the centre of Mijas with the mule rides, white houses and lots of restaurants.

Resort good but our 2 bed apartment had not been renovated. Furniture outdated, sofa bed not suitable as a sofa, uncomfortable to sit on as back and seat cushions kept coming apart. Light bulb missing in en-suite but both problems solved once reception were told. Twin room ok but very little wardrobe space and lack of sufficient shelving to put tops etc. Main bathroom good size. Double room was better but again wardrobe not good as it was small and housed clothes horse, iron and ironing board, brush and shovel and bucket and mop. not much room for clothes. Only chest of drawers were in that room which had to be shared. Single wardrobe in living room for use when occupied by 6 guests. En-suite bathroom too small and corner shower unsuitable as doors opened on to the toilet so little room to get in and out, Walk in shower on back wall would be much better. Both used main bathroom for showers as it was over bath so much bigger. Kitchen ok but very small, only room for 1 adult. Pools good but didn't use pool bar and restaurant as prices were very expensive. Mijas is beautiful with great places to eat ans drink.

Been coming to La Ermita for 20 years , mostly with family members . This year I have come for a week with a friend .We recieved the warm welcome as always from the reception staff. Always available to assist you when needed, nothing too much trouble . The Bistro staff Dina & Sylvana are so friendly and full of fun . They work so hard providing refreshments and food and will go above and beyond to make yr stay an amazing one . Thank you all for helping to make some wonderful memories .Hope to see you again real soon .

We have visited Mijas Pueblo before and love the village. We had never stayed at the Macdonald La Ermita resort before but we definitely will return. We had a two bedroom classic apartment which had lots of space and a lovely terrace. The furnishings could be doing with being updated but the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There are two pools but we mainly used the bottom pool due to having two young children with us. The pool bar staff were really friendly and the food from the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Top class experence again. This was out thirt time, in these wonderful apartments. Staff were super friendly and helpfull. Everything was very clean and well kept. We had a very spacius 2 bedroom apartment. Mijas pueblo is wonderful village. We will come back next summer again
