This is no longer MK Hotel. As of January 2023 it is an IHG property. I read online by some other guests staying there in 2022 that they were IHG members and this was not an IHG hotel in 2022. IHG has really high standards and they wouldn't have opened if they didn't meet them. I'm am not affiliated with the hotel but know for a fact that the NEW IHG Holiday Inn Express at the old MK address is top notch, clean and nothing like the reviews for MK in 2022. I have stayed there this month, it's super clean and everything works in the rooms I've stayed in including fast Internet. Breakfast was great, rooms clean and new TVs. I travel every week and I'm very picky. I just changed airlines last week cause I won't put up with bad places and services. I'll be back in Mesa next week and I'll be back at the HIE Mesa.

Usually I don't write reviews, but this experience as Hilton Diamond Reward member almost left me sleeping in the car. I was moved from Doubletree Hilton hotel due to water issues, on night 1of3 of my stay. Since Doubletree was not successful to secure another Hilton hotel for me, I was advised and proceeded to call Hilton hot line and get the hotel through Customer service line. Over 40 min on the phone and I was put in to Hilton Phoenix Chandler. As I was advised by Doubletree Manager, my rate would stay the same as I was to pay $160 per night and would be awarded points for my inconvenience. Customer service has discussed over my personal phone details with Doubletree Manager, before I left. Points were awarded right for my inconvenience. Hilton Chandler had my reservation ready and I was able to get in to the room close to 10pm. In the morning I noticed that an email came in that all my awarded points were used for 1st night at Hilton Chandler and also my CC is to be charged an additional $130 on top. Stop by at front desk around 7AM next morning and explained all the situation as mentioned above. Was told that the manager would come in and check all and get back to me. Back in the hotel around 4:30PM and noticed a VM left on the room number (not my personal phone, but a room phone) Called back to manager that left me a VM and she called right back. Manager of Hilton Phoenix Chandler advised me that room charge is to be $220 and they will not be matching Doubletree as was promised to me by Doubletree and Hot Line CR that booked this hotel. I asked manager to call in to Doubletree so we can discuss further and was advised that she is leaving in about 15min and that the rate is to be at $220 per night for next 2 night (was to be $160 as was Doubletree original rate) At that time I tried unsuccessfully reaching out to Doubletree manager. I told Hilton manager that I will not be paying $220 as that is not right and was basically told to vacate the room. I packed up and left Hilton Phoenix Chandler Hotel, manager did not even come out or already left by around 5:15PM as I was leaving the hotel. No apology or any words from front desk just a simple BYE BYE. This manager more concerned about her leaving on time, then taking care of basic duties as following up on hotel issues. As a Hilton Diamond Reward member with travels on weekly bases and spending 3-4nights a week in different hotels throughout US, this experience definitely sticks out and deserves a Negative review. Manager never reached out back or any other apology was given and will definitely is being reported to Hilton Hot Line for an investigation in to this issue. The check in process was ok, although I believe the young lady who assisted me was fairly new to the job so the other gentleman working helped to answer a lot of my questions. They were busy since this was during spring break in the Chicagoland area, Spring Training was occurring and they are located right next to Sloan Park which would logically add to their occupancy. The standard check in time per their website is 4pm. I arrived very early, like 1030am, so I understood that my room was not yet ready since check out wasn’t until 12n. I was notified about 2pm that my room was ready and I was pleased it was ready a bit early until I walked in and took a look around. Sadly it was still dirty. The trash has been emptied and the bedding and towels appeared clean, but my remote control looked like someone blew their nose on it, the room was incredibly dusty, and their was a hairball in the shower. I pointed the remote and the dust out to the housekeeping staff. The supervisor was very apologetic about the condition of the remote control and even provided $40 in vouchers for Stats Grill when she returned with a new remote, but the room was still VERY dusty. Rather than add another “complaint” about the room to their list I decided to just use a wash rag to dust figuring the dusty wash rag would be seen when they came in to clean the room the following day, and dust isn’t nearly as gross as dried snot on a remote. The following morning I left the dusty wash rag on the table along with an empty tissue box I wanted to be sure was replaced with a full one and headed off to the Grand Canyon. When I returned 10 hours later and the room hasn’t been touched. On my way out to dinner I stopped at the front desk and asked what the cleaning schedule was for the rooms, only to find out they don’t enter guest rooms during their stay unless asked to do so. I found this odd considering the Las Vegas situation changed most hotel policies to require, at a minimum, daily inspections, even if it’s just a quick look in the room for safety, and this hotel is right next to Sloan Park which is a particularly high crowd location for about 2 months a year. Aside from finding it odd they didn’t do daily room checks I didn’t think anything more of it though since I travel so often and don’t necessarily need my room attended to daily. I asked them to drop off a box of tissues in my room, which they did, and I headed off to dinner and to watch a friend’s game. I had no other issues with the room the remaining 3 days of my stay…or so I thought. Thursday March 31st at around noon, I stopped at the front desk and asked about how they handle the check out process. They explained the process and that there was no need to do anything with them so I thanked them and made my way to the airport to return my rental car and head home. When I woke up the morning of Friday April 1st I found that I had been charged $250 for “guest damage” and that “damage” was for SMOKING in the room. Here’s

Excellent clean and everything is update as i want to see. Keep it up and stay update more will come .. we will come back for sure!. I like room color and decoration as the bedspread has flowers prints. Towels, washcloths plenty Except didn’t have deaf handicap equipments

Our hotel stay was extremely pleasant! Clerk Ryan was the highlight of our trip. Hotel was clean, centrally located for all of our needs. The construction down the road was a bit of a buzzkill, but everything about our hotel stay was awesome. Highly recommend this property. We will be back and will absolutely stay here again.

I had originally booked a room online through booking.com and will never do that again so I called the hotel because I need the room that night but the site put the wrong days so the really awesome guy at the front desk gene must I add he is super smart guy helped me out when booking.com did not do so he gave me some great tips on third party booking and helped with my cancellation of my other reservation highly recommend staying here very clean and very helpful staff would for sure stay here again thanks gene for you help
