"The room is as good as ever. It has been almost 10 years. Every time I come to Melbourne, I stay in this hotel. The room type is reasonable. The kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom are all independent, and there is a washing machine. I really feel at home!"

"Great location but there was mold in the shower, not very clean. The room was so far from the elevator. Breakfast buffet is average, nothing special. They did manage to give me an early check-in last minute, so it wasn't too bad."

"Room is decent, location is good. Do note that bathroom can be semi- see through. Also hotel do not provide in-room slippers. The plus point about the hotel is that they provide body lotion which I really appreciate ! Check-in/out can be slow especially when there is a queue, do be mindful and cater more time for this."

"Good location, just across a small garden (flagstaff garden). a walk away to town area and tram stop within the free tram zone. 15 minutes walk from southern cross where the skybus from airport stops. Accessible."

"The hotel had some positive aspects, such as a swimming pool and a central location, which made it convenient for exploring the area.
However, we had a frustrating experience with the cleaning service. Despite prior arrangements, the agreed-upon cleaning was only carried out late in the evening after a very lengthy discussion with the staff. This was quite annoying and negatively impacted our stay.
While the amenities and location were good, the service needs significant improvement."

"The room is old, and the shower station is a bathtub.
The overall feeling is like an old hotel in China, but it is clean and tidy. The water table is also clean, as is the toilet.
It is quite comfortable to sit in the small living room, and there is a botanical garden at the door, and the air is great."

"Running out of ideas to write about because I have never seen a hotel with good prices, good location, extremely enthusiastic manager, attentive service... the strangest thing is that they don't accept tips because they say the owner already gave them."

Very Good
GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
TTCyndiLocation is nearby airport terminal, walking distance. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Only stayed for a few hours to catch an early morning flight. Check in / out was quick and easy. Will stay there again.

AAnonymous UserLocated in the heart of Melbourne, this hotel offers convenience with its proximity to both a train station and popular shopping malls. The perfect choice for travelers looking to explore the city easily. With comfortable rooms and excellent service, this hotel provides a great base for your Melbourne adventure.
GGuest UserThe shoebox room is a good pick if you are looking for a cheaper option with a private bathroom (although it is a very small bathroom).
Further on the bathroom size, there is minimal space, and if you are taller or larger, you will find it very difficult to manoeuvre around it, with the sink being about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide.
Although it says hair conditioner is provided, it is actually not, and the front desk had confirmed that trip.com has not updated it accordingly.
It is worth noting that there is no microwave in the room, but you are able to go to the front desk if you need to warm food. There is always someone at the front desk 24/7 as well.
The walls are also quite thin and not at all soundproof, so pray that you do not have noisy neighbours or spill any secrets in a loud manner.
Very convenient location in Docklands with free city trams almost right outside and the Southern Cross railway station less than a 10 minute walk away.
If you are coming from the airport, a SkyBus is available that comes directly to the Southern Cross station and is a much cheaper option than a cab, especially if you are solo or packing light.

GGuest UserIt is a normal hotel, with a very good location right down town Melbourne, I would recommend this hotel for solo travelers who are not going to stay too much in the hotel room because it doesn’t have views were I stayed on floor 1, the bathroom is very small and the shower can be slippery, it has a small gym, common area for guests, vending food machines and a terrace for people who smoke.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel has the worst service of any Hyatt I have ever stayed at. The overall staff was absent-minded, and no one ever answered the front desk phone or room service. Several times we had to run downstairs to communicate with the front desk. There are no bathrobes in the hotel, which is the first time I have encountered this.

GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy.
Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections.
Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment.
None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests.
FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building.
The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful.
In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross.
I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind.
The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.
CCola_JCThe staff at the front desk are very kind. It's right in Chinatown. The location is very good, the living functions are convenient, and the room is clean. A capsule coffee machine is a plus 👍🏻

KkevinNice room, nice location, nice service. We arrived at ten o'clock and were given a room directly. The room was very clean, with two single beds. We were 4 people, 2 big and 2 small.

GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing.
Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great
