"My family and I enjoyed our recent stay at Citadines on Burke Melbourne. The standout positives were:
1. Staff Service: Check-in was excellent. The staff were warm, professional, and very helpful, setting a welcoming tone immediately.
2. Room Size: Plenty of room for luggage and for everyone to move around without feeling cramped.
3. Bathroom Amenities: The provided toiletries were nice quality and appreciated.
Items for improvements:
The spaciousness makes this hotel ideal for families. However, to make them truly perfect for families like ours, I'd suggest the management consider offering some room options with two queen-size beds to enhance comfort and sleep quality for parents and children sharing the room.
Despite this suggestion, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay thanks to the great service, ample space, and good facilities. We would definitely consider staying again."

"I stayed at 3 hotels all near Flagstaff stations for this trip, just to try something new and compare. Excellent location and the Flagstaff garden is at the opposite. The Pegasus has a real kitchen and utensils since it's an apartment hotel. No view at all but it's ok for a night's stay. The bed is so soft but so as the Radisson and the Jazz hotel so I guess it's the standard?.. Staffs had reasonable service, but I overheard the guest in front of me checked out 30mins later than he should and the staff were not happy about it at all, like teacher talking to a misbehaved student. Overall it's price for money."

Various light rail lines (Melbourne doesn't have a metro, it's all trams) pass by. The hotel is clean, the front desk service is acceptable, and the breakfast is decent. The only downside is that it's not a great option for several consecutive nights without changing hotels. The hotel is new, so the facilities are quite modern. The biggest problem is that hotel prices in Melbourne fluctuate daily, and the differences are huge; for example, weekend prices can be more than double Monday prices."

"I feel like home. Although the room cleaning is not really done well, lots of hair and rubbish not cleaned everyday, some cooking utensils are oily, we did a bit cleaning and try best to maintain good. That’s not really a big problem. The bed, the pillows are comfortable and the design is comfy. The water pressure is enough 👍🏼. I can sleep well that’s the most important.
The location is perfect. Just within 2 mins walk to the free tram to city center. There’re 2 supermarkets nearby.
The man helping check-in comes a bit unfriendly and makes me feeling uncomfortable. I am not a native English speaker , not listening quite well as he speaks too fast. I received an unpleasant face when I need to repeat. Honestly, I don’t have problems of reading English."

"This apartment is right on the edge of Melbourne’s free tram zone, just a few blocks from Flinders Street Station—an ideal base for anyone familiar with the city’s tram network. Getting around is straightforward if you know how to make the most of the free transport system.

"I'll start with the service, as I felt deeply disappointed and unfairly treated during check-in. It was our birthday on August 20th when we arrived. After mentioning this to the receptionist, not only did we not receive even a simple 'Happy Birthday,' but we were also told to buy our own cake from a shop as the hotel offered no special services or gestures. This level of service is utterly inconsistent with what one would expect from a Crown Hotel and left us extremely disappointed! We provided feedback to the front desk during check-out, and while they offered an apology and champagne, it was too little, too late. A birthday only comes once a year, and we were truly let down.
**Facilities:** The hotel feels very new overall. The shower had a handheld showerhead, which is very family-friendly, especially for those with young children (many hotels in Australia don't have these...). The bedding was very comfortable. Disposable toiletries, drinking water, and slippers were provided – a nice touch, as we usually bring our own since many Australian hotels don't offer them.
**Cleanliness:** The room was spotless. The bathtub was clean enough for kids to bathe in, which gave us peace of mind.
**Location:** The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to dining and transportation. It's located next to a casino, so there's a lot of foot traffic. However, room access requires a key card, so we felt secure."

"Stayed at Ibis Kingsgate for two weeks as I was here to celebrate my birthday. It is my second time staying here; I also came here last year for two weeks and for my birthday!
The hotel is located within a good and safe area - which is great for solo travellers such as myself.
I’ve seen families at this hotel too.
Ibis Kingsgate is within the free tram zone (you can take the 86 or 96), with access to many amenities nearby such as Coles, Woolies, Southern Cross Station (great for when you have to catch the SkyBus), My Chemist, and a range of food and cafe options.
Located at the cross junction of King and Bourke St, the hotel is also walking distance to other popular streets such Elizabeth, Queen, Williams, Colins, Lonsdale, La Trobe, and more! Flinders is nearby too, and you can just cut across to Southbank as well! In fact, you can even walk to Lygon, Docklands or even as far as Collingwood, which I did!
If walking is not your thing, there are also many options for trams, trains, and buses near this hotel.
Room is adequate and clean, with a nice range of television channels. There’s a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which is occasionally refilled. Bathroom is good too; sufficient and spacious enough, and for some - there’s even a window in the bathroom!
The hotel staff are nice and it’s always great to be back. Thank you for the room upgrade, it made my trip even more special. I returned the gesture by keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible. ;p

"Absolutely a shocker… one of the most soulless hotels I’ve ever had the displeasure of staying at! This is what you get adding a corporate stooge and a hospitality manager…a thoughtless, dead, cyborg business hotel. I had as much pleasure at this ‘hotel’ as going for a colonoscopy…suggest either redesigning it or be open and accepting of why it exists…to fill the business market who needs a basic, extremely boring hotel room with a equally boring business man… for business persons needing basic, clean, functional it succeeds, but for my part never again, I don’t want to stay in a hotel that sucks my soul…. Who agreed to create’ internal rooms’ … such a stupid idea… better to create a pod hotel rather than rooms in the internal part of what I assume is converted office space, such a bland shocker! PPugongyingdezhongziThe hotel is conveniently located right next to the T4 terminal parking lot. What's really thoughtful is the shuttle bus service (every twenty minutes, inquire at the front desk upon check-in) that takes you directly to the international departure gate at T2, which is super convenient. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant, and meals ordered are delivered to your room within 30 to 40 minutes. The room amenities are quite new and comfortable. It's perfectly suited for those catching early morning flights. The hotel service is good; the front desk staff, a very nice young lady, proactively provided information about the shuttle bus and recommended suitable timings. Two things to note: 1. Novotel and Ibis are in the same building, with separate front desks at opposite ends, so make sure you line up at the correct one; 2. The shuttle bus needs to be booked in advance, as they check names before boarding, and you might not get on without a reservation.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers a convenient location with parking available right outside, making it easy for picking up guests. Rooms are generally quiet. Breakfast is provided; it offers good value if it's included in your Ctrip booking without an extra charge, otherwise, it's not worth the additional cost. It's a simple Western breakfast, and the menu doesn't change daily. While the hotel itself is reasonably clean, housekeeping standards are only average. On my first morning, there was no hot water in the bathroom; I had to run the tap for almost half an hour just to get a lukewarm shower. However, after I emailed them, the hot water issue was resolved for the remainder of my stay. Housekeeping repeatedly missed replenishing coffee, provided too few towels, and sometimes even forgot to put on pillowcases. Standard rooms are randomly assigned a queen-sized bed or twin beds. The bed was quite wobbly when turning over. The bathroom features only glass partitions, offering no light isolation or privacy. If you accidentally switch on the main light while using the toilet, you are completely exposed. It's an acceptable stay, but for the same price, you might find better options elsewhere.

LLawIt is close to the airport, and the hotel shuttle can be reserved to the airport as early as 06:00. There is no convenience store within walking distance, so you have to drive for about ten minutes to reach the shops and restaurants. Fortunately, residents can enjoy discounted parking. There are not many breakfast options, but it is sufficient, but there are few seats. The room space is sufficient and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are ideal. However, the hotel does not have swimming pools and other recreational facilities, which is more convenient for passengers in transit or for short stays.

By the way, I am still waiting for the pre-authorised deposit back. Read some reviews that can be difficult or take long to get that back, hopefully it will not be this case as I really wanna book this hotel again.

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs!
Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

PP A...Upon arriving at the Novotel Hotel main entrance , (Single lane traffic) the driver refused to stop right in front of the hotel side of the road, instead he is insisted to drop us at the opposite side of the road. About 30m from the hotel. Stating that No dropping off passenger is allowed in front of the hotel; and it will block the traffic if he does so.

The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.
The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Nights were serene with barely any car noise. It’s about a 10-minute drive to a nearby mall with Coles, Kmart, and other essentials—super convenient. For travelers, it’s around 40 minutes from the airport, which is manageable.
Cleanliness:
This was a mixed bag. Upon entering, we noticed a burnt iron mark and several purple stains on the carpet. We made sure to report these to reception immediately due to the $300 AUD bond fee, to avoid being held responsible.
Being close to a lake or river meant encountering mosquitoes and some large flies. We also found spiders in the bathroom, but we managed to catch and release them outdoors. Towels provided were an issue—one was dirty when we checked in, and even the replacement towel the next day had stains. However, the beds were spotless, which was a relief.
Service:
The front desk staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They explained all the amenities, including the location of the gym and pool, and handled our late checkout request graciously.
Facilities:
Although I didn’t personally use the gym or pool, the in-room facilities stood out. The smart TV was a bonus, with access to YouTube, Disney+, and Prime Video, ensuring entertainment for the family.
Room:
The two-bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, with two bedrooms flanking a central living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, complete with an exhaust fan to keep the heat out. The beds were the highlight—so soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night’s sleep.
Overall:
While the initial issues with bugs were unpleasant (I dislike insects), once we cleared them out, the stay became very enjoyable. The spacious layout, serene environment, and cozy beds made it a pleasant experience overall.
