Melbourne Hotels with Gym

A very enjoyable stay in an excellent hotel. The reception, housekeeping, and breakfast service staff were very friendly and efficient, and the room was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and very quiet. The location is also very good, being on the edge of the city centre and only a 5-minute walk from the Skybus airport bus service platforms, Southern Cross Station, and an outlet centre shopping mall. There’s also a Coles supermarket across the road. The continental breakfast was also very good value. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

I booked this room with concerns because we had a brother/sister pair and the pictures showed WC and shower that had only frosted glass for privacy - something I really don’t get and seems to be some new fad in hotels nowadays, not just Ibis Melbourne Central. But glad that the staff were able to secure a room with privacy doors ahead of our stay.

we booked for twin bed and got upgraded for queen and single. The room has huge space that looks recently renovated with complete basic facilities- kettle, fridge, telly. the staffs were friendly and helpful. the location was close to souther cross station with lots of groceries nearby.

It was one of my best stays ever in city of Melbourne CBD location location is what you need for your stay close to all Theatres and amazing restaurants……excellent food in Harry’s dining and Bar …..breakfast amazing selection .The accommodation was  superb from the mattress to the pillows  well appointed room …stocked mini bar and free bottled water ….Parking was easy and accessible to the hotel this is one Hotel you must try without hesitation. Excellent location. All branded shoppings & fine dinings are within walking distance. Hotel staff are extremely friendly & helpful. l would rate their service better than those from Park Hyatt Melbourne. Only complaint was the poor sound proof. l can hear noices from neighbouring room clearly. This is a let down that the hotel gotta look into it.

On first night we can’t sleep due to noise in middle of night (some kind of construction and noise by truck) until 5am. We requested to move it another room that not facing the construction site and the staff is willing to arrange for us. Better sleep after change room. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Facilities are ok. Comfortable bed.

I was charged the check-in deposit. Instead of holding the credit card amount, they actually accidentally charged to my card. Check your credit card bill or confirm the cancelation of holding credit card amount when you check out. I did get the refund of the check-in deposit but it took several email and calls with the hotel and my bank. Very troublesome.

The location is excellent. The room is clean and comfortable. The check-in and check-out function quickly and pleasantly. However, the breakfasts were always a bad start for the day. The breakfast restaurant is small and the tables are placed very close to each other (you feel disturbing other guests as you go to your table). For entering the breakfast restaurant, you have to wait in a long line. This line becomes longer, as some guests have forgotten their room number or are claimed to have not the breakfast included. This discussion prolongs the waiting time. Upon entering the breakfast restaurant, you have to confirm your name in addition to stating your room number. There are no fresh vegetables. To get a couple of fried eggs, you have to scan a code, This scanning does not function. Since there is no scrambled egg at some occasions as a compromise, you have to ask for eggs and wait for them. Sometimes, you get wrong number of eggs. There is no flow. To fix your drink (for instance orange juice) you have to go to the entrance (via the smal passages between the tables) and then go to the other end of the restaurant for eggs, bacon, etc. The coffee machine gives more cappucino than there is room in the cup. The restaurant opens at 6:30am on weekdays and 7:00am on Saturdays and Sundays. There are no options, in case you have an early flight. The staff appears to be aware of these problems and refer to the management instructions…

Very small room for what it was worth, but decent stay otherwise with great communication from hotel staff prior to stay. Arriving in Melbourne on a red-eyed flight meant that we needed a room to rest prior to standard check-in times. Both email and phone communication with staff prior to my stay was fantastic, and very accommodating. The room itself could've been better with more space to move around. I also wasn't too big of a fan of the small bathroom sink and half-glass shower (which made water escape really easily onto the bathmat and tiles). I would've liked the city view room lookout, but construction next to the hotel and an earlier check-in time meant this request couldn't be accommodated, which was fine by all means. I was just thankful the hotel could give me a quiet room on the third floor, and away from the noise of the construction. Otherwise, a decent stay and very centrally located to Melbourne Central and eateries.
