Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne

Melbourne Central Business District
The hotel is located in prime Melbourne CBD area where Chinatown and major shopping malls are just within walking distance. The room is clean and bed is comfy. Smart TV is available that you could login to your Netflix and YouTube account. Access to guest floors is not so convenient during our stay as maintenance work is carrying out and we have to walk via the staff tunnel to get to our floor. The shower design is something that caught us off guard as there’s no door attached to it. Water just leaks out to the floor and the whole bathroom was flooded every night after we shower. Not sure if doors could be installed, but it will be less of a hassle for the cleaning staff to work on every day and better experience for guests. Overall, it’s a good hotel and I will recommend it to anyone who’s traveling to Melbourne city.
InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto

We stayed for Christmas and were very pleased! Great location, everything is nearby and on foot! The hotel is historic, beautiful, spacious rooms with a work area. The room has everything you need, including a coffee machine, a well-stocked minibar (they forgave us the bill for Christmas!) Excellent breakfasts and dinners in the hotel restaurant. The only thing is that the hotel does not have its own parking - you need to park on neighboring streets, which is unsafe for the property left in the car (we learned from our own experience) Special thanks to ms Lara (duty manager), who was able to solve our problems with the police, we would not have managed it ourselves, especially at Christmas. Your help was invaluable!

The hotel's location is right in the ringwood eastland shopping center, and the waiters inside are very polite. Other room facilities are also very good. For business trips and outings, this hotel is very cost-effective. recommend

Very small room for what it was worth, but decent stay otherwise with great communication from hotel staff prior to stay. Arriving in Melbourne on a red-eyed flight meant that we needed a room to rest prior to standard check-in times. Both email and phone communication with staff prior to my stay was fantastic, and very accommodating. The room itself could've been better with more space to move around. I also wasn't too big of a fan of the small bathroom sink and half-glass shower (which made water escape really easily onto the bathmat and tiles). I would've liked the city view room lookout, but construction next to the hotel and an earlier check-in time meant this request couldn't be accommodated, which was fine by all means. I was just thankful the hotel could give me a quiet room on the third floor, and away from the noise of the construction. Otherwise, a decent stay and very centrally located to Melbourne Central and eateries.

It was my first time staying at this hotel. Overall, the service was okay. I wanted to borrow a USB port from the reception desk, realizing I forgot to bring my charger along before departure from Singapore. Unfortunately, they do not have one available. On the 2nd day of my stay, my trash bjn was not emptied and room not cleaned up. I had to inform the help desk to do it asap. They only managed to get it done the next morning after coming back from my activity.
