Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

Dirty cutlery, noisy location and poor service…. First problem, I was staying on the four floor, which was an issue as one lift was out of action and the other two lifts are unbelievably slow. The room was dark and even with the lights on difficult to see anything without the use of a torch. Thankfully my room was facing the pool as many colleagues who also had been staying complained of noise through the night from the road, obviously in rooms that had been facing the road. I still had an 8am wake up from the building site next door though. I only had breakfast at the hotel - but found the cutlery dirty and some cutlery had some sticky residue on them. Food was ok but far from the standard I had found in some of the local restaurants. At checkout I had a problem with the laundry bill, I was offered only a 5% discount on the laundry. I ended up paying in full after being threatened by the police for taking a photo of the invoice. Once in my taxi, back to the airport the taxi driver said there is always a problem with the hotel at checkout….clearly not an isolated case. The hotel did have some old charm but very much tainted by poor service, dirty cutlery and a noisy location. Avoid.

Lovely friendly members of staff, one helped me flag down a taxi and haggle on the fare price too. The apartment had a nice layout and was quite spacious. The seating area was nothing but comfort all the way and had a TV mounted on the wall. The kitchen had a clean open finish paired with a breakfast table for 4 complete with kitchen equipment and utensil minus a microwave and kitchen paper towel. It also had an outdoor table to enjoy breakfast on the balcony, simply watching people go about their day whilst taking in the ray from the sun. The bathroom had lovely wall tiles that made the bathroom stand out and we were met with bathroom robes and lovely scented mini wash products. The bedrooms were nice too, however, the bedroom drawers could be a little higher as they were a little too low down to the ground. We loved how breakfast was presented. It was nice but on the simply side of things. It could stand to have just a little more of a verity to it as it's quite light. We loved that it came with freshly squeezed orange juice, nothing beat freshly squeezed. We had a lovely stay and we would stay with them again. We were very happy with Appart Hotel Mouna and their lovely friendly staff !

The property is as it is represented. Beautiful colors and architecture and is pristine. The staff is more impressive, which in my book is far more important. The check-in process was a little frustrating because I was cranky. The man who checked me in was unendingly patient, welcoming, friendly, and professional. He made sure I understood everything about the property and security. Quite a feat, as he speaks Arabic and French and and I do not. He gave me a tour of everything. The process for meals is lovely. This is a bed and breakfast, so an elaborate tasty breakfast is available until 1000. To eat breakfast, you let the chef know by 1600. He goes to the central market to purchase what's fresh. My dinner was delicious. The aroma wafted up to my room and brought me down to the dining area a little early. The wait staff is first rate, had perfect English, and was delightful. Know that it's a 2-3 block walk from parking areas to the property. It's an easy stroke, but something to know.

I rarely take the time to review but I felt some reviews were unfair. I was worried after reading the reviews after I had booked. I think most are unfair. I think people are confusing this for a 5* The prices for a couple are a little more than you would pay for a shared room in a hostel. The hotel is basic and was more than adequate for our stay. contrary to some reviews I found the staff very friendly and polite. The breakfast is basic and buffet style. A selection of 3 types of bread, boiled eggs, Green tea, coffee, pastries , Cakes, juice, msemen, cereal and a microwave to warm things if you need to. The hotel is slightly further than most but perfectly accessible. 10 minutes in taxi 13-15drh in day 30dh at night £1.5-£3 cheap. Taxis easily flagged down on the main road opposite. language is possibly an issue as other than 1 or 2 they dont really speak english. They were upfront about pricing and whilst some things they do try charging a premium for in comparison with the shops outside they are not too dear. Like everything in Marrakesh be streetsmart, ask for clarification of charges and question any charges you feel are incorrect. I was asked to pay taxes on my checkout and I had already paid it on arrival. I questioned it and he quickly corrected his error. whether he was hustling or just made an error I dont know but he was polite and corrected himself. From the old pictures on websites and from the foyer it is obvious that this place was once quite nice. it is at present tired and needs a refurb but this is reflected in the price. This is Marrakesh, the hustle is real. do your research and book something that is appropriate for you in your budget. dont book 3 star and expect 5 star. hope this helps someone considering booking I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is amazing the staff the food the services… everything is wonderful. Essadi hotel located in te city center where everything is closed: restaurants, drug stores, coffee shops and supermarkets. I recommend it strongly and hope you will enjoy it as we did 😌
