the Marrakech experience already starts with the way that brings you to this fantastic place: We followed our guide through a labyrinth of narrow streets, a corner and another corner, people walking and greeting, children playing in the streets and all of a sudden we arrive at Riad Basim. It is in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance from different places of interest. We felt immediately at home, the whole team led by our host Sylvia gave us a warm welcome and cared for us during the whole week. Every single morning we started with a sumptuous breakfast on the roof terrace. Freshly brewed tea every time we returned to the Riad allowed for a short relaxing break to let sink in all the impressions from our different excursions. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We were three couples and had a fantastic week.

The place is ideally located and you can reach the best spots in Marrakech very quickly. Directly when you arrive you feel a very pleasant atmosphere. It is very calm, peaceful. The staff and the owners will do everything to make you feel comfortable, offer excellent service and give great tips. The cook is amazing! We had great breakfast, and diner on the terrace with the sunset. The place is very clean and calm. The rooms are big, very well decorated and comfortable. I strongly recommend it!

We arrived at 3am, host met our driver and walked us through the empty pedestrian only streets, served us their mint tea and gave us a tour. We were the only people staying there for 2 of our 3 nights, which was nice but a bit awkward for our private meals. The host spoke mostly French and Arabic, no English at all. We had a very hard time conversing about the simple things like what time we wanted breakfast or dinner or where we wanted it served. We also had an issue with our safe and couldn't communicate. All of our drivers and guides and other people we came in contact with knew at least a little English or tried. The room was pretty and air conditioned (thank goodness even in November), and it was very very almost eerily quiet. The fresh flowers and petals and water was a very nice touch. Probably more for a couple than other travelers. The rooftop was nice for our one dinner but again, awkward.

Riad super consigliato, silenzioso, pulito e servizio ottimo. Abbiamo chiesto di cenare una sera e siamo stati accontentati con una cena buonissima servita nella sala tutta per noi. Le foto assolutamente fedeli alla realtà. La zona è lontana dalla confusione della Medina ottima per riposare dopo una giornata nei suk.

Magnifique riad . On a passé 3j magiques . Le personnel est adorable au petit soins . La chambre est spacieuse . Petite attention pour mon anniversaire qui fait vraiment plaisire. Le petit déjeuner et ait copieux . Je recommande sans hésitation

Ein wunderschönes Riad. Sauber, gepflegt und mit Herzblut eingerichtet. Wir haben lediglich das Frühstück hier genossen, dieses weist aber auf eine sehr gute Küche hin. Das Beste ist aber das Personal, welches unglaublich liebevoll ist und sich immer um einen kümmert. Riesen Danleschön an das ganze Team für diesen schönen Aufenthalt.

Sehr schönes Riad an guter Lager. Bei der Ankunft erhält man erst Mal einen marokkanischen Minztee, zusätzlich gibt die Inhaberin Sylvia Tipps zu Restaurants und der Erkundung der Medina. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt und der Service generell ist super angenehm. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hier buchen.

Dieses ausserordentlich dezent und gekonnt eingerichtete Gästehaus mit den unterschiedlichen Zimmern hat uns rundum gefallen. Das Basim ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für alle Ausflüge und Spaziergänge in und um Marrakech. Silvya und ihr Team sind herzliche, hilfsbereite und warmherzige Gastgeber. Am Rande der Medina, in einem gepflegten Quartier gelegen, haben wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt und konnten uns dank Hilfe des Teams gut orientieren. Besonders haben wir die verschiedenen Plätze zum Verweilen in der Halle des Riads und auf der Dachterrasse genossen.
