After reading all the reviews, I went in with an open mind but must say absolutely no complaints from us and would stay there again. We were welcomed with mint tea and shown to our room (when you arrive you have to pay a tourist tax - we were there for 3 nights so just over 400MAD), which after travelling in 44º into a cool air con room was bliss! Our bathroom shower was amazing and again, absolutely no issues with the hot water - although in 44º heat over 3 days, hot water was not what you wanted! We were also provided with a map of the city and directions on map to the square via the Souks. We had our youngest with us so decided to have an early dinner at our Riad as we had plans. He can be a fussy eater (due to his ASN) but happily ate the tagine and enjoyed it. Breakfast over the few days consisted of bread, pancakes, cake, melon, coffee, tea and orange juice. All 3 days we were offered an omelette but we were happy with what we had been given. On our last day, we kept our belongings in Riad whilst we met friends and collected them before we left. We had no issues or concerns during our stay and will happily return - just not in the summer period as was too hot for us!

Ryad Amiran & Spa was the perfect homey spot for our first ever trip to Morocco. Naima and the rest of the staff were amazing at their jobs and always looked out for us as well. Not only did Naima give us a map of the city, she also gave us all of the local tips needed and organised a taxi service for all our booked dinners and plans. Not only would we stay there again, but we would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Marrakesh for the first time. The ryad is also only a 5-10 minute walk to the sooks so if you love shopping then it’s perfect! Thank you again Naima and to the rest of the staff too. Hope to see you again :)

We had a lovely time staying here, feeling very well looked after and welcomed, by all the lovely friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us! Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and good to sample Marrakech delight. On the first night we stayed in a room but were moved to the upper floor next day where we stayed for the rest of our time! This seemed to happen with everyone, but don’t know the reason why! However the beds were very comfortable and we were well rested. We enjoyed 3 course dinner one night which consisted of triangular samosas, chicken tagine, salad and sliced orange with cinnamon all very delicious and tasty. We would love to come back and would highly recommend as we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

Just returned home from a 4 night stay in this cosy and authentic ryad, already wishing we had longer. The family run space was a welcoming peaceful surrounding to find some quiet away from the bustling medina. The rooms are cool and spacious resting spots out the African sun. The rooftop terrace a calm and relaxing area to rest tired feet. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee fantastic. Orange juice refreshing. A home from home atmosphere. We enjoyed our trip and felt safe and welcome here.

We booked through Jet2 and spent four days at the Ryad . The taxi took as as close to the alleyway as it could , which meant down some incredibly narrow streets and done a three point turn which i could never achieve. One of the young girls , the cook, came to meet us so we found the Ryad quite comfortably. We checked in and the rooms were ready shortly afterwards around two o clock. The room we had was on the first floor and had a lovely bed , great air conditioning and a large bathroom with a large walk in shower. It was 44 degrees with a hot wind so we used the cold shower on numerous occasions on the break which had great power. The first evening we went up to the rooftop area for a drink , it does serve beer and wine , not cheap around £6 a can for Casablanca beer which I subsequently found was reasonable against other bars/restaurants which charge up to £9. It turned out to be too hot even at 6.30 to sit upstirs in the shade so we walked to our restaurant. Walking is scary at first , mainly because you get lost very quickly but it the motorbikes that race down the narrow streets. In fact the streets are very safe apart from that, well lit and full of children playing outside or families out on the doorsteps. Breakfast varied ever day , but usually consisting of pancakes , fruit and cake which sometimes changed type and also great coffee and fruit juice . It was never crowded and all delivered quickly to the table in the beautiful ground floor lobby. We had a drink on the following day in the evening in the lobby which was much cooler ,but they ran out of beer very quickly so went to our restaurant. Taxi's were organised for us by the owner when we went to other parts of the medina and a tour of Marrakech , which took three hours but took us to all the gardens and buildings and Mohammed our driver was born and bred in the city walls so knew all the history and less crowed sights and had a lovely air conditioned van. We also done some shopping on our way. The only downside was when checking out. I don't mind paying cash but when we were presented with our bill for trips and taxis , less than half an hour before we were being collected for the airport we asked to pay by card and was told cash only ( I've subsequently read a number of reviews mentioning this ) As the nearest ATM is at least ten minutes walk away and can often have a queue we had an anxious time in 40 degrees heat getting cash and being on time for our taxi. It would be good for the owners to tell us before the last day that cash was needed. Other than that I would have no doubt recommending this Ryad.
