Riad Aubrac

When you approach the Riad you go straight from some chaotic streets into some small alleys and at the end of an alley there is a big iron door. Here is Riad Aubrac. when you enter, you experience a calmness and security that feels good for adults and children. The staff was VERY helpfull. Nice simple breakfast

The hosts are very accommodating, even providing breakfast later than usual one 1 of our days as we'd told them we'd be out at 4am for a tour & back around 11:30am. They provide a great traditional tea (or other drinks), which is beautiful to have in the evening in their "media/chill" room or around the pool. The hosts are available 24/7 & will help however you need, but also are not interfering if you just come & go doing your own thing. The place is very clean. It's traditional & comfortable. WiFi is good. It is available in most areas (room, pool, chill area). Location is brilliant. It's down a small little alley way off a different alley way from the main paths (sounds confusing, but great & easy). It's quiet, but super close to the markets & places of interest. My only 2 reasons for the 4 stars on the room & not 5: The AC could probably do with a deap clean (it would save them power & work better). The shower head wall mount isn't the best... Both these "issues" are typical for the Marrakech though (their standards are of course different). Overall though, still 5 stars! I would 100% stay there again. Thank you :)

Stayed only 1 night as we stayed at another riad during our stay in Marrakech. Rooms are quite big for a riad and cleaning was ok too. What was disappointing that during shower water pools to the point that you are concerned that it will flow over. Had to leave early next morning so didn't communicate that to staff but they should check those before the room is ready for guests. Breakfast was enjoyable though. Do keep in mind that their location is a good 15-20 min walk inside deep medina from Jamea al Fanaa square

Firstly i will start on the host, Waleed/Walid was absolutely amazing and hospitable. I came to the Riad with my mum and had forgotten to purchase the correct plug to charge my phone and laptop and Waleed was aware of this and he let me borrow his for my stay. Upon arrival, he offered us fresh orange juice and kept asking us if we was okay and whether we needed anything. Despite the language barrier, he did most to ensure we enjoyed our stay at ease and at comfort. Waleed assisted me in booking the excursion and was extremely helpful. The Riad: - Amazing view from the room we stayed in which overlooked the dining area and pool - Amazing terrace and seating area, allowed us to fully enjoy the serenity and views - The room and the AC was absolutely amazing especially as we travelled in the summer season - The location was amazing, it was in the middle of Jemaa el-Fnaa. It was tricky on day one as it was a few twists and turns in the streets to establish where the Riad was. But after the first day it became super easy and convenient for us as we was visiting the market every day. Additionally, all the tourist hotspots were within a 10/15 minute drive which meant taxi fares were super cheap - Breakfast was average, but Waleed tried his best to make scrambled eggs and toast for us as we didn't want the traditional Moroccan breakfast. I must say, due to the location and the host we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Stay for 5 nights in August 2022. Myself my husband, 3 daughters and my mother. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was gorgeous. Temperatures outside were up to 46°c. A shirt but bustling walk to to Jamaa alfna which came alive at night and also the souk which led back to Jamaa alfna. The staff were friendly and attentive and didn't mind us playing musical beds when the AC went down on the 3rd night (probably from exhaustion). However, it was quickly fixed once reported. Breakfast was bread based and abundant. The jams were devine. It was so hot we hardly ate in the evening but did order Tagine on our penultimate night. The meat was tender and tasty. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much to Kawtha and Waleed along with cooks/cleaners. so lovely, so unlike a hotel stay. so much more personable. Wouldn't hesitate going back.
