Very disappointing experience — poor management and unacceptable attitude We arrived at the riad and found no one at reception. No welcome, no instructions, no basic information provided. We had to figure everything out on our own. During our stay, the only staff member present was a kind girl who prepared breakfast and cleaned the rooms, but due to the language barrier, communication was very limited. The main issue, however, was the manager, Walled. He behaved in an authoritarian, impolite and disrespectful manner, especially toward us as a group of women. We asked him to arrange a taxi to the airport. He gave us a price, which we paid. Hours later, he returned claiming the cost was higher, without apologizing for the incorrect information and refusing to let us ask any questions. The tone was rude and final. The next day, he messaged us on WhatsApp, calling us “the worst clients” and wrongly accusing us of leaving without paying for a bottle of water, which had never been mentioned. Back in Italy, we found that the riad had cancelled our reservation on Booking, falsely stating that we never checked in — clearly to avoid reviews. We behaved respectfully throughout. The treatment we received was unacceptable.
