plus : the location near the medina and main street, there is money changer with good rate at the hotel loby. What I like most is the breakfast is a buffet moroccan breakfast cost 49 MAD/ 5 Euro only which is good. Minus : please educate the old man staff about how to treat customer. This is hospitality industry. at least please try to smile to customer. I check in at the middle of night and almost can not check in because they said that I have to pay the room and can not found my online booking, meanwhile I have booked and paid online. This misunderstanding a bit frustating when I just arrive and neer to check in soon and take a rest after long flight to marrakesh.

The room is warm and cozy. The hotel is close to everything from restaurant, money changer, old medina souk and Ben Yousef Madrasa

Terrible experience. I arrived at the hotel late at night, tired, and the guy at the reception simply said that the hotel was full and that my reservation had not been confirmed. And even though I showed him the confirmation paper, he was rude and kept saying that there was no space. He was rude and impatient. About the suite: the Wi-Fi did not work in the room, nor did the sockets at the head of the bed. I thought I was charging my cell phone, but in the morning I saw that it simply did not charge because the two sockets were faulty. The air conditioning also did not work. The only advantage of this place is the location, which is really close to the main square, but otherwise it was not as expected.

Good morning, Honestly, it is more than enough to spend a few nights there. A little noisy since it is almost on the Jemma el Fna square. But you have to know what you want. Only downside, early morning moving noises in the room above (we occupied room 205) Otherwise overall it's ok

Didn’t stay here, we used the Hotel Ali 5 days out of 6 for breakfast whilst we were in town. Unlimited food for 49MAD, can’t complain too much. Didn’t have eggs on one of the days for some unknown reason, apart from that, this place always set us up for the day - we weren’t usually hungry again until 5/6pm!

I had a nice stay at Hotel Ali, conveniently located in the bustling centre of Marrakech, with a currency exchange and location right next to Jemaa el-fnaa square. Lots of restaurants to choose from nearby and links to transport. The room, although basic, was clean and comfortable and featured aircon, which was necessary with the heat. It also had a nice balcony. The staff on reception were very helpful, particularly with regards to excursions; Ouzoud waterfalls are a must see! WiFi connection and the opportunity to buy bottled water throughout. Like most hotels, external noise could be heard; wasn't too bad but if not your preference, be sure to bring earplugs. Room keys were to be returned on leaving the building; understandable but not ideal. There was also no safe in the room. Overall, very good value with free breakfast and everything on your doorstep.

We were offered one room with 7 beds, stuffed like sardins in a tin, while our guide had booked two rooms for five! No other room available, 8pm, no choice but to accept. In the room: TV and aircon did not work, there was no window except one opening on a little laundry room ( the person did open the window at 10pm, waking up our son), and tap evacuation in the bathroom was blocked. 2 towels for the five of us. We were offered ONE other room, slightly better, after one night (3 night stay). No discount no apologies, not even a smile. Greatest drawback remains noise: people talking in the corridors at all times if day and night. Breakfast was very nice, though.

Gave ali a 5 out of 5 because its worth it.its great value for money. Its in the middle of everything so no need to taxi to shop the owners and staff are super nice and it has the best exchange rate in marrakech that even outside visitors travel for the value it gives .the rooms with balcony are cosy and huge balcony to sunbathe and watch all the livelyness of the medina .ali has 2 restaurants the one on ground level has the best burgers in medina food is quality for us Europeans.

We had an issue in the exchange point of the hotel, which seems to be the best one in the city. The guy in the exchange point asked to enter the PIN number twice in the payment system because, apparently, it did not work the first time. We got the dirhams we asked for, but we got two charges in the bank. When we realized that, we went back to the exchange point but the guys were quite rude and they were not willing to check anything to help us. I do not want to think the treatment was so bad because we were four women, but they asked for our guide and told us to go to the police. On top of that, although this place is famous for not charging any commission, today they charged a 5% (it was adviced, the paper was just below the one that said they do not charge commission). Our bitter experience in Marrakesh. Quite disappointed, we had already gone to that place without a problem.
