Riad Mabrouk

The environment here is so dirty and unacceptable. There is cockroach in the room and the washroom is so poor. Also, there are filth on the bed sheet. Not recommend all of you to live here.The photo provided on the website is different from the reality. Very poor experience and angry.

The hotel location was just perfect! 2 minutes away from the central of Medina and 15 minutes away from the train station. Very happening and vibrant hotel. So unique design and Surrounded by beautiful peoples. The pillow and bed were comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed my stay! Wifi connection was good too. Overall I’m fully satisfied and definitely come back for more.

This Riad is situated close to Jemaa-el-fnaa market square in the old town of Marrakech. It is very busy with cafes and people and restaurants and life! So close to the Souks too, so it’s easy to go shopping !! The entrance into the Riad is cool and opens out into a large marble reception area. Very welcoming staff greet you and take you to your room. The rooms are located in the older part of the building which is gorgeous Moroccan design, beautifully tiled, with little seating areas and gorgeous big arch windows that let the light shine through to the central part of the Riad. Our room was en suite, only down point here was the shower head needs to be replaced and a few tiles in the shower floor. Otherwise again, lovely room with western toilets. Bedroom had a wonderful king size bed with ornate framed bed frame. Large coloured A frame glass windows which looked out to the centre of the Riad and a lovely little juliette balcony. Breakfast is served upstairs via a lift into the restaurant and the sun greets you warmly as you choose your breakfast and then they bring it to your table when ready. A lovely place to sit in the sun and very lovely staff as well. Our stay was made the best by the staff that work there. They made us extremely welcome and helped us whenever we asked. I will definitely book again. They didn’t want us to leave and I felt a little tearful leaving them. I felt like I had a second home!

Hotel has a very good location, we stayed there during the earthquake , they never clean a room , even a mess after the earthquake, we had a room with a lot of walking , service at a front desk was so rude and unwelcoming

The room was very clean and cleaners came in every day. Bottle water was provided. No coffee or tea facilities. Would of been nice to sit on the balcony and have coffee in a morning. The breakfast always started late. There was not much on offer for breakfast. The coffee dispenser was broke and had tissue holding it in place. The kitchen staff could not communicate in English. There was no safe in the room, we asked several times but we’re not provided with one. When the cleaners came in the day, they would leave our balcony door wide open so anyone could enter our room. So we had to carry our passports and money everywhere we went, which is not ideal. The staff in the restaurant were slow and not very attentive. Given the higher prices compared to other places I would of expected better service. The waiters struggled to light the heat lamps and it was very cold. The food it’s self was good though. We used the hammam in the hotel. This was not a good experience at all, again lack of communication made it every difficult. The staff talked amongst their selves and seemed very unhappy to be doing their job. We felt so uncomfortable because they were arguing amongst them selves as to who would do the massage during the hammam. This has never been my experience previously at other hammams. Our room was at the front of the hotel with a balcony facing the main tourist area, the noise was unbelievable and went on til early hours of the morning. It felt like an authentic experience of Marrakesh though so we didn’t mind after a couple of nights and were so tired we would of slept stood up. If you don’t want to be pestered from stepping out of your hotel, do not stay here. I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again. I have nothing to compare it too though. So this may be harsh. It did feel like a truly authentic stay in Marrakesh. Right in the hustle and bustle.

When I leave the bar after the dinner the waiter forced me to give him a tip with bad manners. The food good but a bit expensive in comparison to others restaurants in Marrakech. I would not repeat because of the waiter.

We had drinks, coffee and a dessert at the bar and it was terrible, especially for the price. Asked for a cappuccino and got basically just milk with A LOT of sugar in it and cream on top. The apple pie was just bad, too small, frozen and by that you can taste other food from the fridge in it and it costs 80 dirhams which is 8 €. Regret going here. Should have saved the money rather than spending it on this rubbish food.
