Typical Riad in Morocco, very beautiful Riad. The service is average but the hotel is really very beautiful, the room is large, the toilet and shower are separated, and there is a small balcony, which is great

The service is good and the people are friendly. The location is not too far away from the airport, train station and the old city. It is suitable for high-level business and vacation.

We loved every bit of our stay. The bedrooms and architecture around the hotel are lovely. We found it to be a special place and we were made to feel very welcome. We had a wonderful weekend away. Never having visited Marrakech before I didn't really know what to expect, I couldn't have been happier with our stay here. We were treated so well from.the moment the Taxi pulled through the gates. Kris was fab with our bags and bringing us tea and chocolates as we completed the check in process, he pointed out different parts of the hotel as he took our luggage to the rooms. The reception staff were patient and helpful as I tried to locate the hotel voucher on my phone. They were busy but took their time to make sure we were OK. We were so pleased with the pool view rooms that were allocated to us (We were given an upgrade to these). The only niggle was the length of the hanging space and the toilet paper! Lovely toilettes were provided so we need not have packed any. We had lunch soon after our arrival. We were pleased with the amount of choice on offer. I am a fussy eater, but I tried many different things. We then had a relax around the pool having been up since 4 am. There were plenty of sunbeds etc and the towels were easy to locate. The aperitifs were our next experience. A special mention for Salim whom made us feel very welcome and also produced some wonderful cocktails. Nothing was too much for him and the other bar staff and they went out of their way to be helpful Our first evening we ate in the main restaurant. It was a Moroccan themed meal. There was again a great variety of dishes to try and the desserts looked and tasted amazing. On one of the other nights we ate in the Italian restaurant. Some choices weren't available but you could have chosen items without supplements if you so wished. On one of the days, after a few hours exploring, a late lunch at the pool bar, was enjoyed by all. We shared pizza and a sandwich so that we got a variety. All items were nicely cooked and well presented! So much food was on offer and I dread to think how much weight could be put on if you ate at ever available session! A little exploration of the hotel building and grounds was also very enjoyable and helped get some steps in! Overall, we had a great stay, would happily return and would also recommend to others.

The perfect break for ‘over18’s’. Lovely bedrooms and well appointed public rooms. Relaxed, quiet poolside. All inclusive features generous, quality meals. Very friendly and helpful staff. 15 mins (50Dhs) taxi to central square and souk. Highly recommend the Jaal Road Resort

We come to Marrakech each year for my birthday for some winter sun, and this has to have been the most disappointing and frustrating trip. I think it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I have never left a bad review for a hotel, but that's how strongly I feel after paying so much money for this. I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The hotel itself is beautiful and well decorated, but everything else is terrible. Although rated 5 stars on Love Holidays, this hotel is definitely not 5 star. I would give it 2 stars at a push. Unless you're a French speaking guest, who seem to be given more prefential treatment in all aspects. Room: The room decor is lovely and we opted for a garden view room which had a little terrace on the ground floor. However, looking more closely it's dated. The toilet and bathroom are separate, and the toilet could use an update. The walls were stained and toilet seat broken. The bathroom was dusty and always left the room smelling of damp even though we kept it ventilated. The rooms and doors are not soundproof in any way. You can hear everything from a bang and scrape from the room next door to the crickets outside. We even had the pleasure of listening to the lady across the hall vomiting repeatedly in her toilet from the comfort of our beds. Being close to the airport, the hotel is under various flight paths, so be prepared for planes passing overhead during the day and also during the night. Food: All meals were more or less the same, every day. With some food even being re-served at the next meal. For breakfast, I opted for an omelette each day, not to be greeted by a 'Good Morning' or 'Hello' by the chef, but a 'yes?' with a miserable face. Not a great start to the day. Hot drinks are not served at the table or from a self-serve machine, but instead by having to queue in the dining area. And there was never a teaspoon in sight. I had to stir the sugar in my coffee every morning with my fork. Food, although under hot lamps or sitting on electric hobs, was always cold with little variety. The wait staff were always very nice and polite, but there aren't enough of them in the dining area, meaning they are rushing around or you are kept waiting. It felt like guests sitting outside were given priority over guests sitting indoors. Sometimes, we waited 10 mins to be offered water or receive our drinks. The food in the outer bar area was okay, hot and served fast, however only available to all inclusive guests between 3 and 5pm and other guests complained of chicken being served raw. Although we booked into the Moroccan and Italian restaurants during our stay, we cancelled these after hearing terrible reviews about supplementary costs and poor service from other guests. Room Service: Arriving late on the first night, we ordered room service. It took over an hour and although it tasted good, was ice cold. We had room service again to get a break from the repetitive dinner service and ordered the same dishes again

Pros: The hotel’s decor is absolutely stunning, creating an inviting and luxurious atmosphere that initially sets high expectations. The design and ambiance are impressive, with attention to detail that adds a lot of charm to the place. Housekeeping was also a bright spot—staff were thorough and attentive, ensuring our room was always well-kept and clean. Additionally, the fixed-rate taxis at 50 DHM right outside the hotel were a convenient feature. Cons: Unfortunately, despite being advertised as a 5-star resort, this hotel is far from deserving of such a rating. Based on our experience, it would be generous to give it a 2-star rating at best. Having worked in retail and hospitality for over 20 years and traveled widely both at home and abroad, I can honestly say this was the worst stay I’ve ever had. Service quality was severely lacking, and the clear bias toward French-speaking guests was troubling. Not for light sleepers as there is no sound proofing and the doors don’t block much sound. I didn’t mind the planes taking off but other guests was more of a disturbance. Customer Service Interactions with staff were consistently disappointing. On multiple occasions, we overheard them discussing us in French and Arabic, which felt uncomfortable and highly unprofessional. During check-out, while we were held to the standard 12 PM deadline, we saw a guest next to us allowed a 1 PM check-out without hesitation. When we tried to call reception for assistance, we found the phone line had been muted, and our calls went unanswered for nearly an hour. If the hotel wishes to address these concerns, I’m open to them reaching out directly. Communal Facilities Basic upkeep seemed neglected. Communal bathrooms frequently had blocked toilets, broken locks, and were missing essentials like hand soap. Although comfortable, the loungers by the pool were often broken, giving the impression that the hotel doesn’t prioritize maintenance. Spa The spa was a letdown. Despite using Google Translate to communicate, our appointment was booked for the wrong day, leading us to cancel out of frustration. Additionally, access to the indoor pool came at an extra cost of £25 per hour, which seemed unreasonable for a supposed 5-star hotel. Dining Experience We didn’t dine in the resort’s Italian or Moroccan restaurants, which were supposedly fully booked most nights, though they appeared empty each evening. Guests we spoke with also had little positive to say about their meals. Additionally, the in-room menu was misleading; it offered only a limited selection of dishes included in our stay, with many items carrying extra charges. The main restaurant was a consistent letdown, with food that was repetitive, largely unlabeled, and served cold despite the presence of heating lamps that went unused. Breakfast was especially disappointing—though a sign advertised shakshuka, it was never available, and the omelette chef was openly rude and disengaged. Basic items like spoons were

We visited this hotel recently with some friends for a three night stay on the whole the hotel was very good if I’m honest I would put it at a three stroke four rating the reasons for this are not because of the hotel if I was scoring the hotel I would put it at a four. The hotel is well kept the decor was very tastful and in keeping with the area however the issues we found were the speech with hotel employees was a million miles apart hardly anybody spoke English let alone good English I also heard people were put out by bad attitudes of certain hotel workers although I didn’t experience that myself. The other things we found awkward was the all inclusive wasn’t ALL inclusive there is a separate menu for all inclusive so if you want a nice properly made cocktail you have to pay now I kind of get this as you hear about this a lot but for gods sake state it when purchasing your accommodation and add a premium price to it or it’s going to come back and bite you.The other things we didn’t like we’re only two tea bags in room (earl grey) no milk and two sugar lumps we are English we like our tea the other thing is plastic cups around the bar area where they also do food now I might be getting picci but there was a group of Canadians on the next table obviously not inclusive and obviously tipping far to much but they were getting glasses not plastic cups. They also put out food for anybody to eat late afternoon but literally as soon as they walk away the birds are on it. I have put some pictures on I have included both menus so you can see the difference in drinks.I hope this helps on your decision on picking a hotel I’m not saying it’s a bad hotel I’m just pointing out some bad points that could be changed to make it a great hotel.
