Decent hotel. The suite is well equipped but poorly soundproofed. We were unable to sleep properly due to the noise from the neighbors until 3am. Breakfast OK but mediocre buffet restaurant.

This is a nice hotel with a little bit of something for everyone. There are some shops for shopping and some bars for drinking. There are three restaurants /cafes on the premises. The highlight is the large pool which on a recent afternoon where the outside temp was above 40, was quite full. The pool area also has a kids pool and a ping pong table. Rooms are large and comfortable. I liked that you could change the temp on the room fridge (many hotels now have disabled this) so our water was always cold. Our bed was firm but not overly so. Rooms are showing a little bit of wear and tear and there was some exposed wiring that apparently had been disconnected. Other than that, a very nice 2 night stay.

This hotel has tremendous potential but let down by poor service. When you check into your room, there is a bottle of water each. The following day there is none and you have to buy more. In a place where they tell you not to drink tap water! There is also no milk for tea or coffee. Not even powdered! The next day, the room was tidied and the bed made, however, the used cups were still there and no replacement tea or coffee supplied. What a pity that this hotel is let down by shoddy service.

Stayed here overnight en route to a motorcycle tour and then again overnight at the end of the tour. First room was ok, pretty standard. Last room much better. Located on the other side of the hotel and pool. The room was ample, much larger with good facilities and quiet. Breakfast generally good with usual fare on offer. Bizarrely at my first breakfast the coffee and hot drinks were self service- machines like the ones you get in airport lounges- press the desired button and erm, the drink comes. For some unknown reason on my final morning this system changed. They now had one person behind tables that effectively cordoned off the machines. It was this person that pressed the buttons for you. Problem was that self service had up to maybe 5 machines doing their thing simultaneously whereas now, my man with the plan was only doing one at a time. Yes, you guessed it, this resulted in meaning queuing for a drink while guests waited compared to no queuing when self service. Surely a misguided move. I even had my order handed to the person behind me (who accepted it annoyingly- so I had to wait for another drink, again… Other than that, restaurants fine and overall it strikes me that the place is used as a ‘stop gap’ en route to somewhere else.

Great service, very large rooms but very poor and simple decoration, with all the beautiful artisan work available this place should be astonishing, but it isn’t. This is by any means a 5 star hotel , many bus excursions arrive here, the food also is not great, and the location is far away from all the historical sites and attractions. Don’t let the 5 star rating fool you.

We got upgraded to a modern suite which had a balcony. Had a few electrical problems. It has a pool which was a sweltering 18C ! Why bother having a pool if you wont heat it, never saw anyone in it Its a transit hotel really, lots of coaches from the orient etc Breakfast is incredibly noisy and busy and i thought it just ok foodwise. . The italian restaurant was ok too but not where you wanted to repeat it. They wanted to put us on a small table when the restaurant was empty and when we left only 20% of tables at most were occupied. Yes they dont want you to bring water in which i didnt care for, they give you a little bottle , thats it. Oh yes its under the flight path but not too loud When they say its a 15 walk to centre, thats nonsense its 15 mins by taxi Overall i thought it was ok clean and serves alcohol at a price. If you want character and to be central then its probably not for you

Pretty on the outside. Ugly on the inside. The reception staff were not helpful at all. Just very rude. Not 5 star at all. No coffee or tea in room. Bath and shower very unsafe. People said they wouldn't use it because it was too deep and would not get out of it. Very slippery surface and no door or curtain for privacy. Furniture was very old and had a horrible smell. A light was on its way out but kept flashing above my bed. I let reception know and nothing was followed up or fixed. I don't think one person smiled. They all looked cranky very unhelpful.

There were 26 of us in our holiday group. We arrived at this hotel ( described as 5 star) and were shown to what were called standard rooms - I would describe them as basic - tired furniture and decor, no kettle or tea making facilities ,shower over the bath and a hairdryer which didn’t work! We immediately spotted that there was not a shower screen beside the bath. My husband went to reception to report the lack of a screen and was abruptly told that this was normal in standard rooms. The receptionist said that if the bathroom flooded he would send someone to mop up the water! The next morning I attempted to shower but of course the shower did not work. The bath was extremely slippery and in fact very dangerous - no rubber mat was supplied. The technician came and checked the shower and repaired the hairdryer. We think the water supply in such a large hotel affected the flow of water. The bathroom of course flooded without a shower screen.I cannot empathise enough just how slippery and dangerous it was using the shower ( a mere dribble) and the bath. The attitude of the majority of the staff was appalling to the point of rudeness. It was as if they were doing us a favour allowing us to stay in the hotel. We were either ignored or spoken to in an abrupt manner. They were dismissive and arrogant. I would never stay here again or recommend it to others. I intend writing to the Tour company about our experiences here.
