the staff at riad zwen zwen are so attentive and very helpful, the place is absolutely spotless, the rooftop bar is a great place to sit for breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is a sunbathing terrace and the staff wait on you hand and foot and are very gracious, the riad is just around the corner from the big central souk, local bars, restaurants, easy to get around, the staff in the riad will sort your taxis, so you don't get ripped off, and your guides too, even at a moment's notice, i would definitely recommend

Went to roof top for lunch. Beautiful place with cool and calm atmosphere away from the bustle and noise below . Staff very welcoming and recommended dishes to try. We shared a morrocan salad selection with lemon chicken croquettes. Enough for 2!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! My wife and I booked this place for our last day in Marrakech. We spent extra on this as this was our last night and the place looked really nice online. We arrived, greeted by the whole staff in the beautiful reception who offered us tea, tours, and the whole shebang one after another. Then came check-in time.. Suddenly we were led to the annex building across the street. To our shock it looked nothing like what we booked online. The rooms were small, dim, isolated with a small courtyard. I quickly realize this was a classic bait and switch. The proprietors have used photos of the main unit, along with its beautiful amenities to advertise the rooms of this sad little annex. The rooms at the annex are no better than other riads that cost a fraction of this place. Our last night in Marrakech was ruined and not at all what we had hoped for. I quickly looked online for reviews and there were complaints about the same situation as us. People who were scammed. We went down to reception to speak to the manager and the team about the dishonest advertising and the room we received. The staff tried to play dumb one after another until we had someone from *********** on the phone have them speak to the hotel staff. The staff tried about an hour to call their boss 'Monsieur Bertrand' who was at a remote location. The 'Monsieur Bertrand' on the phone, after about an hour of argument, agreed to let us cancel the booking and refund us our money if we do not leave him a bad review. He seemingly processed a refund but told us that we will receive our money back in 8-10 weeks. I repeat, 8-10 weeks, another red flag. Most of our evening ruined, we took our things from this scammy hotel and were lucky enough to find a last minute room at a nearby location. The next day the 'Monsieur Bertrand' agreed he would meet us at his hotel to give us the physical receipt of the refund. We woke up early, went back to Zwen Zwen and saw Bertrand speaking to another customer.. guess what, he went through the same ordeal as us! And this guy have been trying for 4 weeks to get in touch with Bertrand to get his money back. What a surprise. Fast forward, it has been well over 10 weeks since the 'refund' and we still have not receive our money back. Go through the reviews and you will find many who have fallen victim for the same scam of Zwen Zwen and Monsieur Bertrand. Save yourself the hassle, disappointment, and frustration AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

Beware. We booked a double room months before we arrived in Marrakesh. The riad kept us waiting for 1 and a half hours before we were shown to a second rate smelly room not in the riad but across the street in another building. The so called swimming pool is a tiny pool in the riad foyer and not deep or long enough to swim. The spa is only available to those seeking beauty treatments. We had no terrace or other views, no real swimming options, no wardrobe, no where to put our suitcases in the room and was told that our 6 square metre room room was what the booking site we used, offered. No way we would stay there again. We felt totallly ripped off.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS RIAD. It is not as advertised. There is a separate location across the street but you don't learn that until you get there. The secondary location is absolute trash - the bedroom appears unclean and the bathroom is small and dingy - neither look anything like the pictures. The riad owner, Bertran, is a crook. It is entirely dishonest to advertise one location and then send guests to a secondary location. The address of both places is the same and the same pictures are used to advertise the property - the pool, terrace and main lobby are shown ("terraces" is added to secondary location name but has no terrace). The secondary location does not have these amenities. It is a classic 'bait and switch'. When confronted with this dishonesty, the owner offers to change your room for added changes. It is offensive and the most abhorrent type of scam. In addition, the staff demand you leave a key to your room whenever you go out. There is no safe in the room and no ability to protect your valuables. We did not leave our key and specifically requested that our room not be cleaned. When we returned after being gone for a few hours, it was clear that the room had been entered and our personal items had been moved. It was such a terrible experience that we left after 1 night even though we had pre-paid for 5 nights. The only good thing was Zaineb. She is excellent. If I could give negative stars...I. would. STAY AWAY!

Booked 10-night stay for September 2023 and unfortunately had to cancel my trip. I Tried to cancel booking on July 2nd, 2023, when the free cancellation my booking expired August 27th 2023 as per there T&C's. After I cancelled via there official website, I didn't receive a refund for over 8 days. I messaged the riad to ask for a refund. My first reply was: "Usually we do not proceed to refund what we may do is to report your trip and you can book it anytime you want." To which I replied how this is not how a standard cancellation works. When I requested a second time for a refund the reply was "I will take care of it in the next few days I’m currently traveling" This was on July 11th, 2023. I have heard nothing from them since and I have sent messages requesting updates regarding my refund and they have completely ignored them regarding my booking. I have called the riad directly numerous times and I'm told that "they don't know how to issue a refund and only the manager can do so but he isn't here right now". I am getting closer and closer to the no refund date at which point this riad has stolen my money as they refuse to reply to my messages.
