Hotels with Bars in Marrakech

We checked in in the morning, which we were very grateful to them for allowing us to do. Everyone was so kind and helpful even after we realized there was a problem with our reservation. They worked with us and never tried to charge us for the mistake even though they certainly could have (especially when it took a few days for our travel agent to fix it). The food was delicious, every single person was friendly and helpful. We also got massages at the spa and were so happy and relaxed. They even held our luggage for free for a few days while we went on an excursion. The rooms they gave us for the second half of our stay were even nicer than the first. They were in the process of filing the pool and we really enjoyed sitting out by it even though they were laying even more pretty tile (the hotel is very beautiful as it is, even nicer than the pictures). I will say the internet passwords kept expiring which was annoying, but they always gave us a new code without any issue except the minor inconvenience. We will definitely be back.

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

Very nice hotel. Very nice and spacious swimming pools. The rooftop pool is very nice, you feel like you're in the middle of the medina and at the same time it's very relaxing. The bottom pool is very large but there is quite a lot of noise in general. We had to be upgraded when we arrived, which was really nice. The service is very good, however the breakfast is of good quality but the choice is quite limited and that is what disappointed us the most. In short, a very good experience :)

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. I have been a regular customer at the Sofitel Marrakech for over 12 years the experience has always been top class - It’s my favourite hotel in Marrakech.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings and artwork, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.The hotel's location is also great located in the medina, as it is within walking distance of many of the city's main attractions.The rooftop terrace offers a stunning view of the city and the pool is the perfect spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

The hotel feels very good, the room is not very big, the bathroom is a little old, some service staff are a little impatient, and some are very good. But the bed is quite comfortable and there is a big balcony. The scenery of the yard and the swimming pool are nothing to say. It's a great place for a relaxing vacation. The price is more expensive than the Four Seasons in Tunisia, so the price of more than 400 is actually a bit expensive. But guests who are not sensitive to price must choose this place.

This was the second day of my staying. First of all, I’m really grateful to Mr.Nifaoui and Mr. Adli. All of people are facing fear of corona including people who work there but they are really helpful and understanding. I’m so satisfied of this stay even I couldn’t go outside of the hotel. I can see how nice people here is and how amazing Marrakech is.

It is little bit far from the city center but hotel is amazing like a heaven on earth. Architecture and landscape is perfect. Spa personnel is not kind and friendly. And also there was a problem in the bathroom with water they waited for fixing and cleaning so long.

We have recently stayed at this hotel and had an amazing time! The rooms are very comfortable, the food is great (amazing choice for breakfast!), the indoor heated pool is amazing and relaxing, the outdoor pool is spacious and relaxing and the sun-beds are very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to a mall and many restaurants. A special mention to all the staff members who work here- they are so helpful and friendly! We especially want to mention the following staff: Fatima at reception was very welcoming, Mohammed for his amazing tea and friendliness, Assam and Ismail for being so helpful and friendly at concierge, Abdul Kareem for being great at the pool side bar, Madi for being a great recreational manager, Loutfi for being very helpful in the bar and Essafi for being a helpful security man! You all made our visit so special! We recommend this hotel for great service, food and facilities!
