After traveling extensively in China, returning to Spain highlighted some noticeable differences, particularly in Madrid. While the city and its infrastructure may feel a bit outdated compared to other global hubs, the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá was a decent and comfortable place to stay. The hotel’s location is its strongest feature—it’s directly across from Chamartín Train Station and its adjacent subway station. While the train station and subway facilities are not the most modern or impressive, the convenience of being so close to transportation hubs is a definite plus. The street leading to the hotel is a bit unusual, set on a slope, but it’s manageable. The room was clean and functional, though slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, albeit with older spring mattresses that could use an upgrade. Despite the slightly worn feel, the room provided a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring or work. The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was easily the highlight of my stay and set a great tone for the day. The service was also pleasant and friendly, which is a nice touch, especially given the sometimes lackluster service standards in Spain. The staff were helpful and made the stay more enjoyable. Overall, while the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá may not be the most modern or luxurious option, it offers good value for its location, a comfortable stay, and an exceptional breakfast. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay near Chamartín Station, this hotel is a solid choice.

The breakfast in the hotel is good and the service is good. I just don't know if it's a single room. There is no coffee pot and I cannot heat it.

The sanitary environment is good, but some details can still see the traces of history, such as my door can not be closed without force (after gently bringing it, it sounds like it is closed, but you have to push hard, you can open the door without swiping the card) and the pool is very slow. We had our flight cancelled in the middle of the night, which means we couldn't get any hotels for the same day because the booking time is too late. Even though I booked the room for the next day, the staff accepted to change it to this very same night. The room is big, everything is great. But the mini fridge light is off and some of the furniture a bit broken.

I usually book hotel rooms every weekend and the reservation at this hotel has been the best without a doubt, the reception staff are super friendly and courtesy of the hotel they have given us a suite I thought was super. It had a living room with a sofa and TV, it had a small table with 4 chairs and a water heater in case you want to make yourself a tea or coffee, the bed was quite comfortable and we slept great because being an industrial area there is no noise, quality price I recommend it. They have a buffet

Me encantó este hotel. The room was modern, spacious and clean. The staff was absolutely nice. Joaquin, Paula, Ruben, and many others were very kind and helpful with our needs. There is a bus (146) that runs every 10 minutes and will pass through many attractions. At first I was concerned about the location of the hotel but it was just great. Great restaurants in a walking distance. I will definitely stay in the Melia AV America again. Thank you for your hospitality.

The location is very good, very close to the subway. In the urban area, there is a discount in the cosmetics store opposite the diagonal, which is much cheaper than the duty-free shops. The size of the room is ok, the bathroom is large and well equipped. The breakfast is also good, the juice is really squeezed in the fruit.
