For the relatively cheap price this was an excellent one night stay in a superior double room. Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows, good seating, easy car parking (should be free), friendly and efficient service. We had a meal in the restaurant - the drinks and food came super quick and dinner was very tasty (fish n chips). The waiter / chef was awesome - friendly, efficient, professional, quick, multi tasker and well presented. Only one issue with our stay - we had to run the shower for about 5 or more minutes before it got to the right temperature - pressure wasn’t that great.
Our recent stay at this hotel to celebrate my thesis defense was truly exceptional. The highlight was undoubtedly the outstanding service. When we requested milk for our daughter at reception, not only did they promptly bring it in a charming glass with a straw, but they also included cookies and offered a stuffed animal, delighting our little one. On the evening of our celebration, the hotel surprised us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and warm congratulations. During meals, the waitstaff anticipated our needs with remarkable intuition. The food was consistently delicious, and they graciously accommodated special requests from guests. While the hotel and restaurant boast elegant decor, the rooms are somewhat modest in comparison. However, this minor detail did not detract from our overall wonderful stay. This hotel provided the perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories of a significant life event. We left with hearts full of gratitude for the exceptional care and attention we received throughout our visit.

We booked this hotel because we were attending the Andre Rieu Concert on 21st July so we booked for two nights 20thand 21st . We flew to Brussells and then took our pre arranged taxi to Maastricht avingin late afternoon . We had a top floor room which was very roomy and of a 4 star standard with air conditioning . Breakfast was very good and the staff at the hotel were very good . The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the main square so is easy to get into the interesting parts of the city. The river Maas is only a few yards away . The hotel is very very old and is three houses put together .A lift is located in one of the buildings so ask if you need lift to the room you book . We checked out at 11am so had a few hours to explore the town centre . Cafes and restaraunts are very good with good food and service. Lots of shops can be found in the centre . A must is to visit St Jans Church and St Servatius Basilica which is located near the main square Vrjthof
We've very much enjoyed our room, chilling, watching TV and having a good night's sleep on very comfortable Auping beds. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, lots of healthy and fresh choices. Overall a good vibe!
We had a five day stay at Dormio Maastricht. We stayed in one of the Penthouses. Well equipped and clean so that was a big positive. The penthouse had three big bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with bubble bath and the other with a sauna and steam shower. There was also a barbecue, terrace heater, etc. So an overall great apartment! Even with a small nu nice bathroom in the basement. This can only be used by the apartments (8 in total so really private). The park itself has a nice bakery, bike rental, swimming pool and Spa. And they have a nice kids club with a daily program to help entertain the kids. Scattered throughout the park there are different play zones. Parking is easy and it’s location close to Maastricht is a big plus. Only reason not to go for five stars would be that there is no big inside play area which you see at many other family oriented holiday parks. Oh and for the foodies; there is a Michelin starred restaurant in the hotel on the park! Enjoy!

We booked the grand room as advertised on ********** which was the largest room, with a city view and a large bath. We had been riding in torrential rain for hours and decided to treat ourselves. We were allocated one of the XL rooms, as soon as we walked it it was clear it was nothing like the photos and didn't even have a bath. Went down to question this with the staff. We we allocated a room with a bath. However this room was smaller than the first and had view of nothing really. Again I went to reception and asked why we weren't given the grand room we had booked. The man on reception said there was an error on the site, he said no XL rooms have a bath. I brought up the photo of the room we thought we had booked and asked where it is in the hotel and was told it isn't in the hotel. So save your money and don't bother trying to book the grand room, it doesn't exist. On going to bed we noticed the sheet on the bed has a hole in it. We have been offered complimentary breakfast and a partial refund to be confirmed in the morning. Oh and there's no washer & dryer to use, that was also advertised. We explained that we had booked this hotel for the specifics detailed on ********* if we had known it was false advertising we'd have booked elsewhere.
A small hotel with a fantastic location. Directly at the Freihof. If you book a hotel room, you can also book a parking space from the hotel. Don't forget to pass your inscription in advance so you can enter the garage. The hotel is not very large but has spacious and clean rooms. Beds were good. Staff is super friendly and you could see that they were very pleasant at work. Breakfast is in a la carte form. We have enjoyed this very much. I can recommend this hotel for a city trip to Maastricht.

Outstanding
GGeoff vThe front desk staff were very helpful. Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom, and an outstanding breakfast. The hotel has a lovely view of the canal from the dining room. Parking is available with access to the hotel, just ask the front desk team how to get there.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is just opposite the train station, with convenient transportation. It is a cooperative hotel for ANDRE RIEU performance. The lobby manager enthusiastically presented the cloth bags for the performance (which also served as cushions). The room is large, and the hotel has a long history but the internal facilities are well maintained.

GGuest UserVery strange room layout, from door to the window is bed, wash area and desk. If the bed and wash area are exchanged their place it would be better. The best things are it’s good location, very close to Maastricht Station by 3 minutes walk away, and the good service from staff at reception, in particular Andre’ ( if I remember correctly the young man with golden curly hair). No slippers, but can borrow adapters and 2 bottles of water are provided in room.

VVenture52715992190Conveniently located on a quiet street, just a short walk from the railway station, bars and shops. Very comfortable. The Hangout area and honesty bar in the lobby are lovely touches. Free good coffee available all day in the Hangout area. Take a few teabags with you if you're not a fan of fruit teas. Lots of great cafes just a short walk away for breakfast.

LLUZHIParking nearby is very expensive, and then the staff told us a not so close 10 Euro a day, the parking price is very cheap, 40 Euros for children with children, hmm, the city is very beautiful, the hotel location is also very good, far from the city center very convenient
CChenThis room with four single beds is larger than the bunk beds and more comfortable. Don't save that little money when traveling with a family. You should choose a larger room. It is simple and hygienic. The front desk is friendly. I left my luggage at the front desk for safekeeping the next day. I also noticed that the place where they put the luggage needs to be swiped by the front desk before entering, which is safer and more reliable.

KkennysilkeStaff very friendly and the hotel provides a very good breakfast to cater for everyone. The rooms are specious, quite basic with a very comfortable bed but do the job. The main criticism is that people coming in at night often speak very loud or are using video calls. The corridors and walls are thin and noise echos. It can be difficult to sleep but once things settle, you sleep well. I think it is a little overpriced for what it is. Other than this, a good place to stay.
This small hotel has a perfect location, in an old house facing the river Maas, in the most picturesque part of the historic center, near charming shops and restaurants. It’s clean. The rooms are modern, minimalist but well thought out. No breakfast, no coffee makings in the room, no drawers or shelves, certainly no safe, hair dryer only on request from the front desk- it’s not luxe, and a bit of a challenge for older travelers. I didn’t find the staff rude- egalitarian, perhaps- brusque when dealing with complaining, entitled guests but otherwise friendly and very helpful. They were young and cool enough that we actually took their restaurant suggestions.
A beautiful place to stay - friendly, welcoming staff, a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in April/May and were sorry to leave! We arrived around 10pm - later than expected due to delays on the train from Brussels - and checked in at the nearby Hotel Grote Gracht as the Sint Jacob is only open for check-in to 4pm. Everything went very smoothly and it was just a short walk between the 2 hotels. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with the offer of bacon and eggs cooked individually for you. A wonderful range of fresh bread, sweet pastries, different cereals and muesli, fresh fruit, cheese and meat. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in the historic centre of Maastricht.
GGuest UserStandard old Dutch top floor duplex apartment, it is good for a family to live together. Luggage to be carried, there is no elevator, of course there is no elevator. At present, Europe is in short supply, and there is an advertisement for a recruitment waiter at the door, and the only waiter is also good. It's fun to see people in Maastricht Old Square
