"We stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour. The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day. We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price."

"I loved the hotel service and staff, they really go above and beyond. The location is a bit far from the city but there is a bus that takes u to city centre in 15 minutes. The room was spacious and clean, would recommend!"

"I booked a single room, but it was paid for 30 € and changed to a luxurious room in a double room. I didn't know why I was paid because I couldn't speak English, but was the room filled? It was a pain in unexpected expense, but the room was large and very nice room, and it was a very good stay because it was soaked in the bathtub for the first time in a long time. I want to stay next time, but what if I pay an additional fee again ... I'm worried."

"The hotel has a good environment and is located on a high mountain. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery, but it will be tiring to walk on the hillside. Everything else is very satisfactory."

"Great location , a short walk from perrache station . Cute little room and friendly front desk staff :) . Only shortfall is a missing kettle to boil water for my instant noodle , kettle is a necessity for Asians 😅. Overall , had an enjoyable one night stay :)."
