Locations is good. Service can be better, during the stay air-con spoiled and got downgraded to another lower grade room without apology or compensation.

Chaotic management and arbitrary deductions! Domestic partners must pay attention to the confusion when booking this hotel. On the day of check-in, because there was an additional fee for bringing children, the note written by the front desk clerk was 80 euros ➕ city tax, which worked out to 200 euros for 2 days, and the payment was deducted on the same day. , signed by me. As a result, 237 euros were deducted at 7 o'clock in the morning on the day we left, and 90 euros were deducted for breakfast at noon. Because our schedule was early every day, we didn't book breakfast, and we didn't even have breakfast. Therefore, 2 charges were deducted without my knowledge. Only the first one was signed and understood by me, which led me to think that my credit card was stolen. Only through the credit card center did I find out that it was all deducted by this hotel! ! !

This is the first time that children cannot stay in a standard double room without an extra bed. On the first day of check-in, the credit card pre-authorization amount was automatically deducted on the second day without notification or permission. During the inquiry process, I kept pretending that it was a system problem, the service was unfriendly, and it was a very bad experience. I highly doubt this is also a Renaissance Hotel

The good: -The location is great! There is a park nearby. The train station is just a couple minutes away. Old town was just a few minutes away. Good food and coffee shops nearby. -Our room seemed a bit dated, but was very unique. We actually really enjoyed it despite a couple of things that were not so good. -We were able to get into our room when we arrived at 2:00 -The hotel staff were friendly -We were given a water in our room upon arrival The bad: -The room didn’t have ac. Just hotel ventilation which is controlled by a dial of high, medium and low. Unfortunately it was warm when we were there and the room got very toasty. We had 3 windows in our room which we kept open the entire time to help cool it down. We requested a fan which did help somewhat. -The bed was very firm. So firm that we had a hard time sleeping. The pillows were very flat. We requested new ones which were great. Despite the warm room, we think if it had not been so hot outside, we would have slept better and enjoyed the hotel a bit more. Based on this, we would go back.

Functional hotel within walking distance of most places in Lucerne. Close to the train station for easy transportation. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was excellent. Fitness center is below average and rooms are on the smaller side. Overall a very good hotel.

A good hotel for a short stay. The rooms were comfortable with a nice bed and balcony. Location was excellent, very close to the train station and to the tourist attractions. Breakfast was regular, with fairly limited options of food and beverages, but still enjoyable. Overall, a satisfactory experience.

This is a nice hotel, reasonably close the tourist center. Access to bus stop close by, but easily walkable, and just a couple of blocks to the main train station. Breakfast buffet was good and fairly varied. Basing on hotel experiences worldwide, this is an above average hotel. Nothing particularly fancy or spectacular about the lobby or the room, although they were nicely done. On a 1-5 global scale, I'd rate 3.5 to a 4.0.

This hotel was central to all! We had an easy trip in from Interlaken to Luzerne HB. This was 3 short blocks from the station and easy to find. After checking in, we walked 3 blocks to the river and across to the other side to look around. Check-in was easy with Tenzin and she gave us a good recommendation for dinner. I wanted to try Raclette. She suggested the DuPont which serves raclette and fondue only. Yum! We were cheesed out after that meal, but it was good. Our room was ready upon arrival so we took some time to get settled. I took a tour around the hotel and found the lounge on the first floor. There was a Nespresso bar but wasted a pod and couldn't get it to work. Went to the lobby and inquired. Matte accompanied me back to the lounge to help me figure it out. Finally after a bit of fidgeting, he determined that it wasn't properly plugged in. Voila, it was fixed and I was able to get a nice cup of afternoon coffee. Thank you Matte! The room was nicely appointed and had a little Juliette balcony which you can actually go out on. Some nice amenities in the room included the bathroom's fogless mirror and heated towel rack! There was also an in room Nespresso machine with 4 pods. Draw backs were: lobby was really small with seating for about 4 people; lounge was on 1st floor with a walk around 2 corners, but comfortable once you found it. We didn't try the restaurant on the ground floor, but looked interesting - decor didn't quite fit the mex-tex menu. Would have been nice to have a luggage rack. There was a bench near the door, where one of us had space for a carry on suite case, but the other person didn't have rack, had to use the desk space or the one single seat couch.

Ridiculously small shoebox size room on the top floor not at all what I’m acustom to. I’m sure they have bigger rooms but they certainly weren’t available when I asked and no one got back to me on it. Other than that super nice, friendly, staff. Forget the overpriced buffet breakfast plenty of great bakeries walking distance from the hotel excellent location if you’re traveling in by train five minute walk from the station.
