The location is very good, 10 minutes walk from the train station, the room is soundproof, the room size of the superior room is also available, there is a Chase balcony. Hotel breakfast 40 francs is a bit expensive, but there are many varieties, croissants are soft and delicious, there are 4-5 kinds of cheese, you can also squeeze a variety of juices, vegetable juices, smoked salmon tastes very good. At the front desk, the restaurant service is very good. Swiss prices are 20% higher than France, and stayed for two nights, very good. The surroundings are very safe and the meals are very convenient.

What an amazing hotel! My stay was Superb. The hotel facilities were great, room fully equipped. The bed was super comfortable, actually the entire room was very cozy, nicely decorated, very well cleaned, all properly disinfected, the fig shower gel is amazing. The location, I couldn’t have asked for a better location, it is in the middle of the old town, you walk outside the hotel and the lake is on the right hand side right in-front of you. The staff were super nice, friendly, smiling and helpful and I mean all of them, including the kitchen staff. Breakfast is nicely done and very fresh as well. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, I was well treated there, the receptionist saw how tired I was after a long drive from Lugano and she was very patient with us. I definitely stay here again next time.

My husband and I stayed at this very pleasant hotel for 5 nights. Our quiet room faced the river, with lovely views. Our bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed getting chocolates every night. Convenient to the train station as well as the Old Town and shopping districts. The front desk staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and was available to answer questions throughout our stay. Our bathroom included L’Occitaine bath products and a tub as well as an enclosed shower. I found the shower somewhat claustrophobic, but my husband liked it.

This was a stopover for us in July on our way to Interlaken. The location is perfect, 15 mins walk to the train station, and quite central to all the shops and restaurants by the lake. It's quite a new hotel so the rooms are good size with really comfortable beds. Note that the bathroom is completely open. There is no kettle in the room, but they provide a Nespresso coffee machine. So, unless you drink coffee, you are out of luck. We found the reception staff really friendly and helpful. The bonus was a 12.00pm checkout. The included breakfast is slightly disappointing, as it is very limited. As for vegetarian options, there was only cereal and fruit. All the cooked options were non-veg. Perhaps the hotel needs to think about vegetarian and vegan options and respond to the current market. Overall, a pleasant stay here, but very pricey for what we got.

Amazing hotel near Luzerne train station. Many bakery nearby. Hotel staff was friendly and kind, provided toiletries and water. Breakfast was simple but good enough to start the day. Very short walk to the old town area which was great!

Service: Super good. Since it is a long way down the stairs, there is a bell to inform customers to ring the bell and the hotel staff will help carry the luggage and send customers to the room to guide them to check in! Hotel location is fantastic. Less than 1 minute walk from the information center located from the train station. Hotel room is fine but the edges of the bed frame protrude out hence one needs to be more cautious. We arrive at 7pm on a Sunday evening and check in was quick. Will appreciate if WiFi password and Lucerne Visitor card are given upon check in instead of having to request for it. At 11pm, when i tried to input the WiFi username and password, it shows Credit used up. I called the reception for assistance and was told to come down to the reception. After going down, I was given another print out of the WiFi username and password. I do not understand why this cannot be communicated over the phone. Went back to the room, tried the new username and password and it still doesn't work. Only managed to login to the WiFi the following morning when I went to the reception and get another user ID and password. Not sure if this is common in Switzerland but this sure is my first encounter.

Built in 1874, this grand hotel primary serves couch tour groups from around the world. We saw groups from Korea, Germany, and the USA. The rooms were refurbished in 2005 and bathrooms were modern and large. Some of the common areas are getting a bit tired and they were renovating the kitchens when we were there. Miguel mixes great Aperol Spritz and Hugos in the lobby bar. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the lake front promenade and 10 minutes from old town Lucerne via bus 6 or 8.
