Couldn't have been happier with my stay at Empire. The location was ideal, being just across the road from the main train station and tram stop, making it incredibly easy to travel to all the sights that the city has to offer. As for the hotel itself, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend to anyone planning to visit Luxembourg City!

The hotel is not in the lively area of the city, there are few people around, walk five minutes to the tram station, take the tram for about 10 minutes to the city center and the train station. Fortunately, the Luxembourg tram bus is free. Breakfast is slightly simple, double stay - free bottle of mineral water 😂

Well, the penthouse-like restaurant: definitely one of the most splendid views of a capital city in Europe, slightly as breathtaking as the other vis-à-vis I had in this very restaurant on Saturday the 15th of July: an exquisite smile on a lonesome dark-haired woman right before me, later at breakfast, surely a daughter of Aphrodite she is! As available, I should have applied for late checkout on Sunday morning instead of leaving behind her at the reception desk, (sigh) weekends are always too short! So yes, all views considered, splendid breakfast in the restaurant (dining slightly less splendid as one view was missing)! ;) More seriously, this train station is only 10 min afoot away, so you can admire the city as making your way up there. Also, very nice single room, copious dishes, pleasant desserts (the mango was nicely done) and all that a caring personnel! On that note, a very nice weekend in this hotel, I'll definitely be back next year, hopefully to admire again the exact same views! To all the hotel personnel: Thanks for your service!

This hotel is very expensive, half price, but the location is super good. Remind everyone of two things, First, you can drive to the hotel entrance, but the navigation will be problematic. It should extend west of the highway ring outside the old city, from north to south (ie, Boulevard Royal to the south), turn left into Rue Nutre-Dame, 50 meters. Turn left into Rue Philippe II, cross two small streets, pass the Hermes Hermes store, turn right. Second, the hotel is mainly for luxury stores and downtown attractions, but all the businesses in the city (90%) are closed on Sundays, so try not to live in this hotel on Sunday, it is very boring.

When we walked from the train station to the hotel we were taken back by all the road construction going on by the hotel. Oops is this a mistake but when you enter the hotel and hear the soft music and see the decor we started to relax. A lovely mature gentleman greeted us and checked us in. The room was clean and comfortable. Trams and buses are free in the city. You can walked to the old section of Luxembourg city in about 20 minutes. We would walk and then take the tram back. A lovely old hotel with plenty of charm.

The boss was very enthusiastic and took the initiative to introduce the tour guide of Luxembourg, so that we had a bottom in our heart before and understood the approximate location. The location is very convenient, about 300 meters walk from the central station, less than 2 kilometers from the core scenic spot, you can walk to it. Hotel equipment is a bit old but very clean. Overall, the transportation is convenient and located in a residential area. You can feel the daily living of ordinary Luxembourg people, which is interesting!

Review of thurs 28.12.23: Room 502 Hotel Grey Luxembourg. Quant hotel open 24 hours. Right across from the main train station. The room was modern with a safe, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, and built-in wall radio Rooms with modern decor and soundproof. The bathroom was nice with a big shower. The reception staff Sabir was very helpful. Free Wi-Fi is available. We did not have breakfast. All trams and buses are free to use. Walking distance to the tourist section. Thank you very much in the Luxembourg language: French: Merci

Lovely hotel and restaurant! We enjoyed several breakfasts in the “study” and dining room. Next time I will eat on the outdoor patio. Wonderful service & friendly staff who work very hard to prepare coffee for multiple guests in a short period. Take time to enjoy your meal. No need to rush. Very accommodating to travelers with variable schedules. They graciously stored our bags for several hours & printed a very important document. Despite the street party at the bar around the corner for the night marathon, the noise didn’t carry into the room. I’d love to return!

The hotel is located in the city center, very comfortable
It takes about 10 minutes to reach the railway station by tram, and the tram stop is located near the hotel.
The staff is very friendly and looks like an old building, but the rooms are spacious and clean.
It may be noisy outside because it is in the city center, but not enough to sleep.
It is great to have a restaurant connected to the hotel, there are many restaurants and bars nearby.
Breakfast is included, but it was Corona time, so I ordered breakfast
I bought bread, eggs, juice and yogurt, but the breakfast was delicious
This is a hotel with no particular disadvantages

PPetrus RThe title pretty much sums it. I spend two nights here. Great location, everything is pretty much walking distance and easily accessible. All the important bus lines run right next to the hotel. Rooms nice and tidy, staff extremely friendly - especially the lovely lady working there tuesday evening 19th, super friendly and helpful!

GGerald PWhile it is a bit of a walk from the nearest tram station, the room was amazing. As a well designed physical space 10/10, interior design 10/10. Refrigerator and beautiful mid 20th century design red chairs were a visual knockout. The wall next to the bed had a panel that had to have been a hand painted “mural”, from floor to the ceiling a gentle blue gradation that was a joy to experience from the super comfy bed. I would definitely book a room the next time I visit Luxembourg City.

GGuest UserWe stayed for three nights in Dec 2023 for the Xmas markets, the location of the hotel is good and one of the markets was just up the road. The bus stop to/from the airport (No.29) is a short walk and there is a tram to the city centre around the corner (though it's only a 10 minute walk to the town centre if the weather is good). Our room itself was very clean and comfortable, other than check in we didn't have much interaction with staff but check in was quick and friendly. We didn't choose breakfast so can't comment on that. There are quite a few bars and places to each close to the hotel.

Grand Ducal Palace
DDDDDDD宝The Grand Ducal Palace is the residence of the supreme ruler of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, located in the center of the old town of Luxembourg.
The Grand Ducal Palace is not far from the Constitution Square, but it is not open at present, so you can only see the exterior ~ It is only open in July and August.
From the exterior, the Grand Ducal Palace has a very exquisite architectural style. Through some windows, you can see that the interior decoration is elegant, unique and grand. Some paintings are really beautiful. Even outside the window, I stopped to appreciate them for a while.
Avenue de la Liberté
KkhccLiberty Avenue is the main avenue in Luxembourg and the only way to get to various attractions and the city center. Tram tracks are being built now, and most of the road surface has been dug up. It is estimated that it will take some time to return to normal.
Alzette Valley

When I was a child, my family lived in Dongshicao Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing. The hutong to the north was Ganmian Hutong. I often went to Zhou Yusan's house with my classmates to play. There was a yard next to his house that was never open, so we always played in the doorway. There was a sign at the door with five Chinese characters and foreign characters engraved on it. It was engraved with "Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg". Or was it a consulate? So I was deeply impressed and wanted to see this country when I traveled to Europe.

So when I was looking for the scenic corridor, I went around at least three times before I found it...
Luxembourg gets dark very early in winter, it is pitch black at 6 o'clock... You can only see the night view
I can only say that the beauty of Luxembourg cannot be captured by mobile phones. The scenic corridor is a natural 360-degree viewing platform, known as the most beautiful platform in Europe. Here you can also see the scenery of Luxembourg city from a high place~ It is still worth a look, but you don't need to reserve too much time

After the expansion project from 1935 to 1938, three pointed hats were added and it became the Notre Dame Church
