Couldn't have been happier with my stay at Empire. The location was ideal, being just across the road from the main train station and tram stop, making it incredibly easy to travel to all the sights that the city has to offer. As for the hotel itself, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend to anyone planning to visit Luxembourg City!
This hotel is very expensive, half price, but the location is super good. Remind everyone of two things, First, you can drive to the hotel entrance, but the navigation will be problematic. It should extend west of the highway ring outside the old city, from north to south (ie, Boulevard Royal to the south), turn left into Rue Nutre-Dame, 50 meters. Turn left into Rue Philippe II, cross two small streets, pass the Hermes Hermes store, turn right. Second, the hotel is mainly for luxury stores and downtown attractions, but all the businesses in the city (90%) are closed on Sundays, so try not to live in this hotel on Sunday, it is very boring.
The hotel is not in the lively area of the city, there are few people around, walk five minutes to the tram station, take the tram for about 10 minutes to the city center and the train station. Fortunately, the Luxembourg tram bus is free. Breakfast is slightly simple, double stay - free bottle of mineral water 😂

The title pretty much sums it. I spend two nights here. Great location, everything is pretty much walking distance and easily accessible. All the important bus lines run right next to the hotel. Rooms nice and tidy, staff extremely friendly - especially the lovely lady working there tuesday evening 19th, super friendly and helpful!
Review of thurs 28.12.23: Room 502 Hotel Grey Luxembourg. Quant hotel open 24 hours. Right across from the main train station. The room was modern with a safe, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, and built-in wall radio Rooms with modern decor and soundproof. The bathroom was nice with a big shower. The reception staff Sabir was very helpful. Free Wi-Fi is available. We did not have breakfast. All trams and buses are free to use. Walking distance to the tourist section. Thank you very much in the Luxembourg language: French: Merci
The reception staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The breakfast while fairly basic with cooked eggs was enhanced by the ambiance of the breakfast room. There are a variety of eateries in walking distance and the tram line is a short block away providing easy access to Luxembourg sights. Luxembourg train station is just 250 m (3 min walk). The hotel has a classic hotel vibe (it opened in the 1932) but it has been updated to modern standards. The only downside was the Wi-Fi was not very strong in my room which overlooked the street. A secure car park is available at the train station for 20 euro/24hr. Short term parking at Liberty Parking is nearby at 2 euro/hr daytime (up to 4 hrs) and 1 euro/hr after 1900. Parking Fort Neipperg is also close by with similar pricing.
We stayed for three nights in Dec 2023 for the Xmas markets, the location of the hotel is good and one of the markets was just up the road. The bus stop to/from the airport (No.29) is a short walk and there is a tram to the city centre around the corner (though it's only a 10 minute walk to the town centre if the weather is good). Our room itself was very clean and comfortable, other than check in we didn't have much interaction with staff but check in was quick and friendly. We didn't choose breakfast so can't comment on that. There are quite a few bars and places to each close to the hotel.
The room was on the upper floor opposite the hotel lobby. The room was large and a small snack was served. Self-driving in the past, the car stopped a huge parking lot, and the overnight stay seemed like 8 euros. It is convenient to walk from the hotel to some attractions.
Lovely hotel and restaurant! We enjoyed several breakfasts in the “study” and dining room. Next time I will eat on the outdoor patio. Wonderful service & friendly staff who work very hard to prepare coffee for multiple guests in a short period. Take time to enjoy your meal. No need to rush. Very accommodating to travelers with variable schedules. They graciously stored our bags for several hours & printed a very important document. Despite the street party at the bar around the corner for the night marathon, the noise didn’t carry into the room. I’d love to return!

Outstanding
GGuest UserHigh level service from the reception. We came early, our room was ready, so we could check in before we went to the city centre. Located just a little outside the city, but you can take the tram for free and it stops near the hotel. You can also walk trough a nice park, it takes about half an hour. The room was very lovely and modern with rain shower in the bath. Friendly staff in the restaurant for dinner. Good breakfast.
GGuest UserThe Central City - Luxury ApartHotel (CCLA) was AWESOME! Our apartment was very large, clean, and modern. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils needed to prepare meals. The bathroom was fantastic and complete with a large walk-in shower. The property location was PERFECT - right in the heart of the city close to ALL the major attractions. Our apartment overlooked a very lovely garden behind the building. Although we were in the city, it felt as though we were in the suburbs. I have saved the best for last. My wife and I travel the entire world on a full-time basis. Wherever we are at the time is our ”home”. Because of this, the quality of the apartment staff (or hotels on the rare occasion we are in a hotel) is paramount to us. We had one of the best experiences with the property manager at CCLA Luxembourg that we have had anywhere in the world. I am referring to Jerome who was the property manager during our time at CCLA. He was wonderful to communicate with prior to our arrival and during our stay. He was very kind, and wanted to ensure our apartment was comfortable and that we would enjoy our stay. He was an EXCELLENT representative of the CCLA Luxembourg and we enjoyed chatting with him each day during our stay at CCLA!
GGubianiI couldn't be happier to have chosen this hotel for the weekend in this wonderful city. Both the city and the hotel exceeded all expectations. I must say that all the hotel staff are extremely polite and attentive. The hotel has an old-fashioned style, but it is extremely clean and well-maintained. Our room was very spacious and cozy. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location of the hotel is perfect. A perfect 10 out of 10!
I am a regular customer of Ibis Styles hotels across Europe. This hotel was below par and I would not recommend to others. Firstly the rooms. There is heating/cooling but the cooling is very insufficient. We were far too warm even though the cooling was on the whole time we were there. Secondly there is no ventilation in the bathroom meaning that there is black mould clearly visible on the ceiling. There is a vent but it does nothing. Thirdly the breakfast. Breakfast is not included and costs €13 per person per day. There are croissants, bread, cereal and the most pathetic pancake machine. It is not worth it and there is a supermarket across the street.
GGuest UserI recently stayed at the Novotel in Luxembourg, and I had a wonderful experience. The reception staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They provided great recommendations on places to visit and, even though the hotel was fully booked, they managed to accommodate our request for rooms next to each other, which was a huge plus for our family.
The buffet breakfast was impressive, with a clean and hygienic setup and a wide variety of options. The only suggestion I have is to add labels to each food item, so guests know exactly what’s being served. Despite this minor detail, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying.
The rooms were also very clean and well-maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Luxembourg.

Excellent
We arrived late one night and left early the next morning, so did not notice a lot of things previously mentioned, like no coffee or tea, water etc. In saying that, our beds and pillows were comfortable and the towels were new, plush and big - definitely a change from the norm. The rooms and bathroom were funky, with quality fixtures and fittings - we liked the design a lot, although it was a little dim lighting wise. We ate dinner and breakfast there as did not have time to explore Luxembourg at all. Both meals were very good - would definitely eat there again. Check in was slow and staff (in particular the female) had a bit of attitude! It was the most expensive place we stayed in our 4 weeks in Europe - but it's Luxembourg I guess.
MMiguelWe came back to Luxembourg after we got rejected from another hotel in Trier. NH Luxembourg was just the kind of hotel that you expect where resting and enjoying a stay is always as it should be. AAiyer KrishnanExcellent property located at elevation overlooking the valley is pleasant place to relax and rejuvenate. The staff are very cooperative and helpful.
GGuest UserThe location is incredible! Walking distance to the city, shops and sights. It’s super cute and cosy and exactly as expected. Parking was available (for a cost) and the top had all expected amenities including a decent sized fridge. I would definitely recommend to stay here!
TTanBowieSuper lovely place! Staff was helpful and welcoming. The space was great along with the different things provided. There were sufficient towels, coffee and tea provided. As my friends and I had booked this place last minute, we were really glad that they were able to host us and allow us to stay comfortably for the night. The house is also near the city which was very convenient.
