the best hostel experience of my travels. the hotel rooms are on the upper floors of a beautiful Villa right behind the Lugano train station (5 minute walk). the hostel rooms are in the cellar. one communitity bathroom with 2 showers and 2 WC and 3 separate rooms with bunk beds. small pillows, sheet and blanket are included. community kitchen and large fridge for food and drinks. the MOST AMAZING POOL! with sun lounge beds, small bar and towels. for a summer visit to Lugano, it is best value stay and very easy to find.

Just beside the cable car station. The cable car takes three minutes to the train station. The hotel has a free cable car card. Warm, warm, free drinks and drinks in the lobby. Wangzhong is quiet. The surrounding shopping restaurant is very convenient, a few steps to the lake. Recommended to stay. But I booked a deluxe room, which is larger than a desk, and it is the highest price in several prices. But the ordinary room given by the hotel does not have a desk. I am too lazy to say it. The next price will be booked at the lowest price.

The rooms are very nice and the environment is beautiful. Sitting on the balcony of the room, listening to birds, drinking a little wine, and admiring the lights of Lugano Lake and the mountain homes on the opposite side, it is really a treat. The room is equipped with an electric kettle, shampoo, and shower gel. You need to bring your own dental appliances and slippers.

The people who work at Hotel Besso are extremely kind. Never in my life have I experienced such great hospitality before. They accommodated our every need, and when my father had a heart attack in Lugano one very kind man from the staff drove me to the hospital. They upgraded our room and made sure we were comfortable. The hotel is close to restaurants, shopping and the lake. You can see the lake from the balcony. We will surely be coming here again.

Convenient transportation. The train station is directly accessible by ferris wheel, breakfast is good, the lake is convenient, cost-effective, the square is just outside, and the market is also convenient for shopping. The goods here are cheaper than other cities.

Check in was easy, really nice receptionist, room was super clean, I had like 5 towels. Sopa and body wash was provided, at lwast 5 sockets, really nice and comfy room.

The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, with disposable slippers. Breakfast is OK. Very close to the train station. Can park. Going to the old town is not far away. It was a downhill road and it was quite tired. The hotel also offers a free Lugano bus card, which can be used free of charge by bus and 2/3 bus.

The location of this hotel is particularly good on the commercial street of the old town. On the first floor is the shop selling Swiss army knives. The shop is not the door of the hotel. Don’t walk through it. You can walk downhill from the train station. There is a steep slope and it is recommended to go down the mountain. It is a little tired to go up the mountain. If you have a Swiss Pass, you can take the cable car down for free. The room is very light and the decoration is very fresh. From the hotel, go to the opposite direction of the train station and quickly go to the lake. The cruise ship terminal is on the left hand side of the exit, and the pier is further a park. A hotel I like more, small and exquisite.

The room was modern and stylishly furnished, as well as very clean. The self-checking/out also worked smoothly. The structure is very central, it is located in the street behind Riva Vincenzo Vela (head street along the lake) and near the LAC parking house. Many beautiful shops are found there. From there you can reach the beautiful old town in a few minutes, where you can sit in the cafe or look at attractions. I would like to highlight the service provided by Francesco. I had forgotten my expensive professional hairdryer in the bathroom at the departure. I was immediately informed after the departure that the cleaning power had found my hairdryer. I was fortunately still on the ground and could still pick it up. Since the cleaning power couldn't wait long, I had not much time, but he was concerned to find a solution so that I could have my hairdryer back. Very exemplary! At this point I don't understand some negative reviews, if for someone respect and friendship is a foreign word, then you don't have to expect it to come back. I stayed only one night as my preferred hotel was fully booked and I was forced into hotel city lugano. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was the kindest I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Sure the decor isnt anything to praise and they dont have room service or other basics but it is clean and efficient. I have to say one more time that the staff here is just amazing, every single one of them. I would recommend this hotel.
