1) close to train station (only plus point)
2) room not clean (dusty )
3) room very old as for me get used to modern hotel
4) would not consider next time … as my expectation is different
5) overprice (maximum chf100 per night)

A lovely big room. Clean and comfortable and friendly staff. It has a great location - very short walk to the train station. I would stay here again.

My stay at Hotel Besso was a wonderful experience. The employees were gracious, thoughtful, and hard workers. Shout out to Cristian simultaneously working the front desk, making sure breakfast was in order every morning, and answering any question that guests had (in 4 different languages)
The hotel is quiet, clean, and in a convenient location in front of a bus stop and 5 minute walking distance from train station. There is also a good pizza restaurant around the corner.
A full breakfast (muesli, cereal, cured meats, croissant, fruit) costs 10 CHF per person and is filling, delicious, and a valuable meal option considering the high cost of living Switzerland is known for.
I highly recommend this hotel and would only stay here if I ever return to Lugano.

The only thing I remember is the receptionist not letting me stay after my check out in the lobby, because my train was leaving 3 hours later, so I had to go to a different place. I found that strage. I guess overall the stay was ok. not bad nothing special.

We paid double for the room because we were four people. The room was a bit bigger but they just squeeze 4 full sizes bed. The bathroom was nice, but just a tub with no curtains so if you don't want to water the entire bathroom you need to squat. It says there is parking but it is really limited and they said because we booked through ******* we had top pay for it. The location is great and close to downtown. Overall it is ok for one night
