Hotels in Paddington, London

So the hotel is in a great location, super close to Paddington and Edgware Road stations. Reception staff were lovely. Signage is poor as the hotel is actually made up of several different buildings and former hotels/guest houses. I have stayed here before as its cheap and cheerful. They have refurbed the bathrooms but the rooms are very old fashioned. Bedding is very old. Under the beds had not been hoovered or checked (see picture, we found a pair of used knickers and a condom wrapper). The bathroom although lovely had a limited amount of hot water. Not even enough for me me person to a shower with a warm shower let alone three. The room was advertised as three single beds but when we got there it was a double and a single. Overall you do get what you pay for and I can cope with tired/old as it wasnt a luxury trip or special occasion however they need to absolutely work on cleanliness. The carpets and curtains smelt of smoke and cigarettes.

My room was on the ground floor and you could hear all the trains coming into Paddington station. You can even feel it. In the morning randomly the fire alarm started and stopped 2 times. So haven't had the most comfortable sleep.

The hotel location was superb. The room was spacious. The A/C was a bit noisy and made the room very dry. We needed to turn it off at the middle of the night so as to get some sleep.

The hotel room is so small that you have to turn sideways to sit down on the toilet and put your knees against the wash basin after sitting down. The only advantage is that it is relatively close to Paddington Station, and you can get to Heathrow Airport in half an hour by train. The surrounding area seems to be a South Asian community, with restaurants and supermarkets full of South Asian Muslims and Turks. Needless to say, there is Sussex Chips (it seems to be called that) which serves pretty good fish and chips, and there is also KEBAB, which offers a lot of barbecue and naan dishes.

Place was worth it for the money. If you decide include breakfast for stay asked them English Breakfast they will give you hot food other than just breads! Nice location to access almost every spot to overlook, restaurant cause its locate on Paddington Station and place is near small park to jogging.

There is no front desk here. There is a sign asking you to check in at another hotel nearby. The hotel itself is one of the many cheap lodgings in the area. The stairs are narrow and steep, the walls of the rooms are thin, and it is not very comfortable. In exchange, the price is very cheap. The bathroom has been renovated and is clean. The breakfast had plenty of bread, ham, and cheese. Also, although we stayed for multiple nights, there were small items left in the room that seemed to be the housekeeper's personal belongings. It seemed that she had been relaxing in the room after cleaning (^_^;)

Not convenient for Solo Traveler - A/C HVAC very slow to react

Rooms are quite small but well laid out. Nice view of the gardens. En suite also compact but very clean and modern, great shower! Staff are polite, helpful and chatty. The location for the city and Heathrow is perfect. Plenty of restaurants, fast food and pubs very close by. Would definitely use again.

Arrived and informed that hotel had incorrect booking . Waited to get resolved. Room ok. Small and very dated and no view at all. Breakfast arrived at 9:30 and they seemed to be clearing away despite being open until 10am. Lack of selection, poor coffee and no one advised us what could be ordered. Staff seemed not bothered and dining room full of dirty plates and tables. Not what I expected

It is perfect for tourists very quiet place and great staff
