Stayed for 4 nights with friends, service was great, with a nice bar area. Room was great and the biggest bed ever and was very comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning. The light show was worth watching, sitting outside in the evening with a bottle of wine. Visited in November and was lucky to have great weather. Staff were very kind, friendly and helpful.

Once a 17th century convent, Locke de Santa Joana has a rich, distinctive history. From preserved interior details to artifacts displayed in the cultural gallery, our Lisbon hotel unites the past and present. A playful style flows throughout 370 serviced apartments, many with their own kitchen.
Vibrant coworking spaces, meeting rooms, and plenty of restaurants and bars mean you won't need to leave. And the sunkissed courtyard and outdoor pool mean you won't want to either. Luxury, yet affordable. Homely, yet indulgent. Ideally located near Avenida de Liberdade. This is a dog friendly property. Please contact property prior arrival. Additional fees apply.

An overall great experience in this hotel. The room I got was cute and has a small kitchen, it has the appliances you need to cook a meal, and plates, utensils as well, there is even a oven that you can heat up all the pastries you brought back to your room, the pastel de nata in the cafe down stairs at the hotel’s lobby were good. But what save my trip was the washer/dryer in the room, been travel for almost 2 weeks without doing laundry until I checked in to this hotel. If I’ve ever returned to Lisbon, will definitely stay in the hotel again.
Mercure Lisboa is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel is convenient and practical for business or leisure trips. Next to Lisbon Zoo, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and El Corte Ingles. The 104 air-conditioned rooms have double windows and a seating area. Recharge in the covered, outdoor, heated pool on the top floor. Also on site a restaurant, bar and 9 meeting rooms.

The hotel is located 10-15 minutes walk from the metro. The area is quiet, similar to a residential area. The metro takes 5 stops to the center on a direct line. In principle, it's ok.
The hotel itself is good, the room is not big, everything you need is there, except for slippers. What is the problem with providing them - it is not clear.
In my room 603, when the air conditioner is on, something leaks in the bathroom, the floor is flooded, but the problem was solved.
If you get an adjoining room (the entrance to the neighboring room is through your room), then be prepared that you will hear everything that is happening in that room and vice versa, they will hear everything that is happening in yours.
I recommend the hotel itself, if it is not important to live directly in the center of attractions. It was not difficult for me to get there by metro, it took 10-15 minutes

Really loved our stay at this hotel - the rooms were lovely and beds are so comfortable!
It’s a short walk to the centre of Lisbon, very accessible and the airport bus stops across the road.
The pool is in a lovely tranquil setting and there are amazing views from the Sky Bar locates at it’s sister hotel next door.
Staff were really helpful and gave us a super recommendation for a beautiful family run, local Portuguese restaurant less than a minute from the hotel. Convenient if you didn’t fancy getting back into the thick of things after a day sightseeing etc!
There are nepresso machines in each room which is a very nice touch but thought the coffee pods should/could be complimentary or at least a sachet/freeze-dry alternative could be provided instead of charging €1.25 per pod. Also please provide milk or creamer for tea/coffee!

To be honest, the hotel exceeded expectations. The price is even similar to that of domestic hotels of the same quality. It is very cost-effective and is at the level of an old five-star hotel. I would like to praise the hotel's breakfast, especially the rich variety of juices. You must try all kinds of flavors. It is very healthy and refreshing. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic and professional. They upgraded our room type for free and answered all the questions we asked. After hearing that we went to Madeira Island, they recommended the Azores. Let's wait for a chance to come to Portugal next time haha. The hotel is in a very good location. It is very close to Liberty Avenue and surrounded by parks. It is very quiet and not far from the airport. If you are not in a hurry, you can walk to some attractions in the city. I recommend the Italian restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The pasta is very good. The front desk can help you make a reservation. The only drawback is that there is a little water leakage on the floor of the shower room. You have to wipe it with a bath towel yourself, which does not affect much.
The view outside the window is also good. Attached picture.

Besides the slightly broken bathroom door and the blankets that make my legs a bit itchy, the apartment was quite nice with many amenities, quite comfy and quite spacious. The online check-in was easy but the main gate was so difficult to open. It took me 2 minutes to open the door every time, but the kebab shop next to it is nice that they let us enter from there because they have a door directly leading into the building.

The location of the hotel was very good. The metro station Olaias of the Red line was a minute's walk away. By using the metro, one could travel around easily to Rossio and most attractions. A supermarket was around the corner.
Breakfast was satisfying but without any change during my four days stay. It is recommended in general.

Really loved the location of this hotel. It is so close to buses and metro and even the 24 tram goes by.
Loved all the take out restaurants so close.
The area is busy with many local international families and it felt extremely safe to walk around. Everyone was busy working going to and from work and throw in a bunch of tourist and it made it a nice city vibe to be alive in.
100 percent would stay in this area again. We had stayed in other areas that were a little bit more touristy and had larger Resturants but I actually enjoyed the food in the small take out close to the hotel more.
Morning breakfast was fantastic I actually don’t know what else you would want or need. They had it all.
The breakfast area is super clean, and nicely laid out.
The room was a nice size, bathroom a bit dated but did the job. The bed was super cosy for me but understand beds are a personal preference.

GGuest UserThis is a very cost-effective hotel in Lisbon. It is the best and most convenient choice for family travel. It has a refrigerator, an induction cooker, pots and pans, and even red wine glasses. This is really surprising. The decoration of the hotel is very high-quality, and every waiter is enthusiastic. A handsome guy at the front desk even shared the snacks he bought with us, which was really heartwarming! I stay here with my family every year.

KkthérèseThe river view room and toilet were small for one person so I’d image a couple would be uncomfortable here. The location is right in the heart of Alfama and a 10-15 minute walk to Chiado/Barrio Alto. I was excited to come and stay at this hotel after reading the reviews about how friendly the staff are, but I did not receive any welcoming or friendly service from any of the staff here. In fact, I felt unwelcome and almost as if I was bothering them when I spoke to them at the reception or asked first a simple request like water for my room. I previously stayed at Montebelo Vista Allegre hotel in Chiado and I would recommend this hotel instead. I wish I stayed there for the entirety of my trip.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights for vacation, below are our experience and reviews.
Cons:
1. Complimentary Water (only 2 during entire stay):
• Complimentary water is only provided on the first day, but this was not communicated at check-in.
• The vending machine water is overpriced (4.5x supermarket price).
• Clear instructions at check-in would allow guests to plan ahead and buy water elsewhere.
2. Reception Service:
• No guidance on how to call the front desk from the room, resulted in us going down to reception for assistance.
• Unprofessional receptionist behavior:
• A receptionist prioritized personal conversations with other guests over assisting me, even after noticing I needed help.
• My query took less than a minute but was delayed unnecessarily, leaving me frustrated and disappointed.
3. Housekeeping Issue:
• Despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping knocked repeatedly and did not respond when asked who was there.
• The door lacked a peephole, which raised safety concerns as we couldn’t verify who was outside.
4. Taxi Drop-off:
• The hotel’s entrance is on a ramp near a traffic light, making it difficult for taxi to stop directly in front of the door.
• Guests with heavy luggage may find it inconvenient as taxis often park farther away.
Some Pros:
• Excellent location near a park with a charming Christmas market.
• Safe area with plenty of nearby restaurants and supermarkets, making it very convenient.
• Decent-sized rooms with ample space and a large desk for working.
• Good breakfast options.

AAndreI would book again but a bigger room. The installed not fully closing glass door to the bathroom/toilet will never be my favorite.
The reception is service oriented and welcoming. The cleaning staff should be instructed to communicate without yelling at 9.30am.
Location good. No view, but this is always an issue with small hotels in city center.
I would have expected more CR7 fan articles.

GGuest UserThe room is very nice and big, the kitchen facilities are complete, and the location is absolutely great. It is not difficult to get the key through self-service check-in, but it is best to write it clearly on the Ctrip page. In addition, Ctrip does not give you the password to enter the gate, so you have to contact the management yourself. I parked my car in a parking space across the street and was fined when I was carrying my luggage upstairs. The reason was that this parking space was only for residents and cost 60 euros.

AAnonymous UserBe careful with this hotel, in which service and facilities are wildly variable.
For our last night, one bath towel is missing for a room of double occupancy - a schoolboy error as they would call it - and when we requested the second one, the receptionist acted as if he were doing us a big favour. Then, on our last day, neither of our two room cards worked when we returned to the room 30 min before check out time - and because of receptionist shortage, it took us a good 15 min to get a replacement card - not a good thing for a hotel that brands itself for being chic and high tech.
The room controller, which is run by the TV system, as well as the lighting panel, are as dysfunctional as they get - one would have thought it should be a very simple thing to raise or lower the temperature through a quick flip of a switch, or a simple touch on dial. Instead, it is waiting for the TV to warm up, entering the room control panel, blah blah blah.
Note also a double bed at this hotel means two single beds slapped together. Not great if you have no wish to sleep atop a trench.
Our last night happens to be on a Friday, and the lobby practically turned into a dance floor with loud and cheap beats that went all the way to almost midnight and heard even on the highest floors.
No problem for being chic, but being chic is very different from being dysfunctional and uncomfy. A shame, as the location is excellent, some of the staff were nice and helpful, and some of the decor are clever.

SSantosThe room was super clean, the location is near a public transportation which I'd good ans bad at the same time due to noise, the stuffs are friendly and helpful.
Therr only negatives are:
There is a TV and AC, but in order to use it you must demand the remotes.
As well as the fact that we either give them a credit card or 50 euros as a warranty instead of a ID, which we found it not so common and were doubting it, ans of course we gave cash.

SSefy LevyThis hostel is located about 3km walk from the center city, but does have some close by attractions (such as the Jeronimo's Monetary)
The room is extremely small, if you seat on the edge of the bed and try to stretch your legs, you'll most likely hit the wall.
We had our room replaced, as the first room had zero privacy for the toilet and the second room gave the illusion of privacy (as you can see in photos)
We've not seen any of the management, as everything is done thru WhatsApp to contact them and they will respond.
Breakfast was OK, it had a bit of choices but there was more cakes and cookies then actual food.
WWariyukiI won’t recommend this apartment though it is only less than 10 mins walk from the Martim Moniz metro station and the city centre.
The apartment is located at the back alley of some old buildings. There were a lot of homeless people and wanderers at both ends of the alleys. The most unacceptable thing was that the alley was stinky with the very bad smell of urine and garbage. Since the apartment is inside the alley that car cannot go inside, even we took Uber, we still need to walk 2-min from either end of the alley to the apartment.
Unfortunately we were assigned with a room on the ground level of the 4-storey apartment. To be exact, the room was slightly below ground level, meaning that we could see the feet of the people walking on the street through the 2 windows of our room. It was also a bit noisy when people talked on the street, parked their bicycle right at the windows of our room. Obviously we couldn’t open our windows or curtains, meaning that it was like staying in a room without windows. We have asked for a change of room. Since we were staying there for 7 nights, we also didn’t mind to change for only a few nights in the middle of the stay, however we were not provided with any option to change our room even though we booked this apartment 4 MONTHS ago (not the last minute customers).
Besides, the sound proofing of the apartment was bad. We could hear everyone talking outside. Since it’s the ground floor unit, there were more people passing by and going up to different floors and in and out the building, all sounds were quite annoying especially during the late night. Among the 7 nights, there were also 2 nights having some sorts of alarm in the mid nights for over 30 minutes. All these issues were very disturbing too.
Adding to it, the bed and pillows of the apartment were too hard and not comfortable to us. We didn’t have any good sleep unfortunately.
Nevertheless the interior of the apartment was fine, spacious and clean. Decoration was modern, daily house-keeping was also fine. There were aircon, washer and dryer, a basic coffee filter machines but not Nespresso coffee machine.
