Residence Inn by Marriott BWI Airport

This hotel is new and very clean. Our room was nice and had everything we needed. We did have some issues with the hotel turning off the water in the morning. When I asked they said they sent notes to each room letting guests know about it, we did not receive one nor when we checked in the day before was it mentioned. Also at breakfast the did not have enough plates or silverware. The gentleman doing the breakfast said it was because guests take items to their rooms and don’t return them. I find that a ridiculous excuse to not be able to serve guests, management clearly needs to order more dish ware or have a better system.

Had a super early flight to San Diego and wanted to stay close to BWI. Great hotel which was less than a 5 minute drive from the airport. The hotel was under renovation when I was staying there but I love seeing a hotel take care of itself. Should I have a early flight again. I will stay here again.

Had to stay for an extra night while in the area. We knew the place was under construction, and we were fine with that because it was a single night. HOWEVER: The room we stayed in was filthy, there was a sticky mess on the bathroom floor by the toiler, dirty hand prints everywhere (was the construction crew using this room while they were working?), the towels were scratchy and a few had holes. The furniture was all beaten up and scratched. The room had an antique VCR/DVD combo, the light over the stove didn't work, and the heater randomly jumped up to 75 degrees in the middle of the night. We were exhausted and just wanted to go to sleep. We usually LOVE staying at the staybridge, and have stayed in other locations which were renovating, and while the outside areas needed work, the rooms were always fine-- not this time. I was also charged more for the room than the rate advertised, and there was no discount because of the construction. There's more, but I'm still exhausted from this experience. What a terrible location. It shouldn't have the staybridge name.

The good reviews must be false. I came to this hotel based on the reviews because my son was having surgery in Baltimore. The room was a 2br, 2ba and it was infested with insects. We called and they said they would transfer us to another room. They called back and said they checked and there was not a room without insects and we would have to go to another hotel. We had just driven 8 hours from NC, it was 6pm and they had a huge hold on my credit card and we had to find another hotel. No rooms available except one downtown twice the price and there was huge hold on my credit card affecting my available credit. In order to stay at that hotel which was the Residence Inn Inner Harbor, I had to pay 1000 on my credit card to counter the extreme hold that stayed on my card 8 days from 10/25 until 11 /3 when I called IHG corporate to complain. The hotel rooms are dark and old and in desperate need of renovation. As we left the room, we noticed the entire hotel was infested with bugs. You never look up but as we looked at the ceilings in the halls going back to the front desk, we saw the bugs that we didn't notice on the way to our room. How does the management not see these bugs that are everywhere? It would make me suspicious of bedbugs and I am so glad we never touched the beds. The hotel employee was very nice and she tried hard to find us another room. She gave us 25,000 points but what will that do for me? Nothing. I had to pay for my son's surgery and to have this happen at night was devastating. I called IHG Corporate and they said they would tell the manager. The manager never called to apologize or nothing. IHG corporate was useless except the hold was released. I will never stay with IHG. They can keep their 25,000 points.

i have stayed here many times, simply because of the proximity to the airport as well as to UMBC. the condition of the hotel is no longer acceptable, quite miserable is the breakfast (type of presentation, the scope, and the thoughtlessness of the staff that it partially does not manage to have everything prepared on time), so that you have to wait 10-15 minutes. this is not acceptable, especially if you have to go by train (the trains go very rarely on the WE and therefore must do without breakfast). seen over the years ... the hotel as a whole has now reached a state that it should be torn down.

The staff is exemplary! This is my first time staying at this hotel. However, it will not be my last. My room was cozy and quiet which allow me a peaceful night's rest throughout my 14 day stay. Myra really went above and beyond to assure that my accomodations were spot on! Both She and Mike made me feel like a "Valued" customer.This will be my Hotel whenever, I visit Baltimore, Maryland.
