Avoid this hotel at any cost. Pathetic service especially at reception area, dirty outdated facilities and rooms that are in dire condition. They even dare to charge £60+ per night for it besides £7 for breakfast! It ain't worth a penny and they deserve a zero star! Shame is the name of the game!

When we first pulled in to the carpark and went in to reception the lady on reception was lovely and very welcoming. When we walked up the stairs the first floor stair case is a normal staircase and easy to use. The next one to get to the top floor is rather steep and not easy to navigate if your older. When we walked down the corridor we noticed there was some water damage to the ceiling on the corridor where the timber support for the roof runs down where the 2 roofs meet in the valley gutter. Once in the room the decor was old and window was open so room was freezing (little oil heater to the rescue) the little oil heater did warm the room up nicely however it was a bit bent and wonky and needed a bit of a repair or replacement. Tv in the room was a bit on the tiny side it became more of a radio than anything as trying to see the screen was a pain with how small it was. Beds were old and hard and springs poking you in places in the night, First night was OK and managed to sleep reasonably well for the room. Second night there is what sounds like student accommodation near by / opposite and as the window doesn't seal shut amazingly well all noise comes through and in to the room and their house party kept me awake till around 2am until it either ended or I had just got fed up and finally fell asleep. The shared toilets work but would benefit to having an update and some repairs carried out to them as they are tired and need some work. On the first night we saw something move on the roof beam that ran down the valley gutter of the roof and it was a slug, upon further inspection the timber was starting to give up and needs looking at before it gets worse (apologies for not letting you know on check out as it had slipped my mind) Breakfast was lovely and worth the £7 extra cost. We would look at returning based on the care and attitude from staff but would look to find a better room if possible with an en suite and providing it some updating.

Had a really pleasant stay here. It was only for a night as I was at an even the next day and was easier to stay over. Little bit old fashioned but i loved its character and charm! So close to loads of shops for essentials. Pubs, nail bars, hairdressers and take aways.. Good parking, dogs allowed and lovely staff 🖤 thank you so much!

The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Extremely dirty, dusty, window and curtain mouldy and the bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom tiles were broken, many of them; the shower was cold/lukewarm; the shower curtain had mould on it too. When our room still wasn’t serviced at 3pm on our second day, I requested this at the reception; the reaction was ‘It’s only 3 o’clock’! Also complained about not having hot water; the response from the staff was very rude and uncaring, asking if it had got better through the day, as if we were showering every two hours! I have absolutely no idea how this place can remain open; it was truly dismal and the decor was seedy. One guy was smoking INSIDE the front porch, which didn’t help the overall musty smell. Never again.

Terrible Scruffy and facilities and accessibility to rooms not suitable for anyone over 30. Probably more suitable for students. Cheap and cheerful in dire need of a makeover to bring it from 70s Headingley Up to date. It would appear to be quite reasonably Priced until you arrive with a warm friendly welcome but others in the area much better

Absolutely disgusting hotel, filthy and unsafe! Obvious from entering the room that it was dirty except the bedding was crisp and white and so we though it's a bed for the night. It wasn't even that as the springs were sticking through so it was painful to lie on! Cobwebs on windows, smelly wardrobe and doors so didn't unpack. Toilet didn't flush so was extremely smelly and the whole room smelt. Make up on towels. Shower curtain was the peak of disgusting, mildew on shower curtain. Toilet seat was worn and needed replacing. The upper staircase, the steps were so short that they're unsafe especially when carrying luggage. Filthy carpet throughout.Checked out within an hour of trying to go to bed as we just couldn't lie in the he'd and the room was so noisy. Reviewing here and on my way to environmental health to report them.

Stayed here as it's ideal for the brudenell 20min walk even more ideal if you're going to the cricket plenty of free parking at the rear and space at front too. As I had booked months in advance I received a phone call the day before to make sure I was still coming a nice touch I thought, the girl on the reception Monica was very helpful and someone is on hand 24/7 if you have any problems. Ok the decor is a bit oldie worldie but the room was pleasant ensuite comfy bed hot drinks . The cooked breakfast is highly recommended too there's only so many times I can face thinly sliced bacon in spoons!!! So I highly recommend this place I'll be staying again next time I'm in that part of Leeds .

This is a less than budget hotel. Dated and very smelly. It was so bad we didn't stay. Left the keys on the bed and booked a room in a Premier Inn for less money. Felt uneasy and wouldn't have stayed there if we had been paid to! Awful, awful, awful.
